Pei Liyan’s dark eyes were sharp as knives as he fixed his gaze on Huo Sinan.

He felt an urge to send Huo Sinan to meet God.

This guy was sleazy in his thinking, and especially dirty.

"President." Fang Mo was startled, but seeing his boss already angry, he knew it was no joke and immediately responded, "Yes!"

Huo Sinan hadn’t expected Pei Liyan to be so arrogant as to want his own assistant to hit him. This was outrageous.

Huo Sinan snorted and reached out to pull Qiao Rui along with him.

Qiao Rui said, "You go on ahead; I have some words for Mr. Pei."

Huo Sinan furrowed his brow at once upon hearing this, "What do you have to talk to him about? He’s just a foul man. Be careful he doesn’t harbor any ulterior motives."

Qiao Rui was fed up with Huo Sinan’s mouth – it really was asking for a beating.

Pei Liyan snorted coldly, "Huo Sinan, aren’t you the one with ulterior motives? Approaching Miss Rui with your son and such filthy intentions, don’t you know yourself?"

His thoughts seen through, Huo Sinan naturally wouldn’t admit it and retorted stubbornly, "Get lost. I like Miss Rui and pursuing her is pure-hearted, not the disgusting image you paint. Doesn’t that make you sick?"

"With a child, what right do you have to pursue someone?" Pei Liyan sneered.

"It’s way better than you, a married philanderer. Although I have a child, I’m single. There’s no marriage certificate, and the law supports my right to pursue her. What right do you have to prattle on here?"

"Miss Rui, you see?" Pei Liyan said indifferently, "Mr. Huo is not approaching you with such innocuous intentions."

Qiao Rui didn’t speak, but Huo Sinan was extremely embarrassed, losing his brash demeanor in front of Qiao Rui instantly.

Only then did Qiao Rui look towards Pei Liyan and speak faintly, "Mr. Pei, although I don’t know what misunderstandings and conflicts exist between you and Mr. Huo, I still hope you can be more yielding in front of the child."

Pei Liyan’s expression was cold as ice, and after glancing at Qiao Rui, he replied flatly, "Miss Rui, if you’re asking this of me, what’s in it for me?"

"What benefit do you want, Mr. Pei?" Qiao Rui countered.

Pei Liyan looked at Qiao Rui with narrowed eyes, "That depends on what position Miss Rui is taking to make this request?"

At that moment, Qiao Rui deeply felt that Pei Liyan was truly a businessman.

Whenever he spoke, he was clear about grudges and interests.

She suddenly laughed, a hint of mockery on her beautiful face, "I wonder what you want from me this time, Mr. Pei?"

She found Pei Liyan very strange, coming up with such a condition. This man was utterly baffling.

When Huo Sinan came back, he didn’t bring Little Xingxing with him, coming alone to knock on the door.

Qiao Rui opened the door and saw him push it open and enter.

She was stunned for a moment and frowned, "Mr. Huo."

Huo Sinan’s face showed slight embarrassment but he still explained, "I wasn’t scared off by Pei Liyan just now, I didn’t want to make things difficult for you."

Qiao Rui was taken aback, looking at him, her expression puzzled.

Huo Sinan further explained, "Ruirui, I used to be quite fickle, but ever since having Little Xingxing, I haven’t messed around. Now I genuinely want to find someone to share life with, to truly spend my life with."

Qiao Rui blinked and replied, "That’s a good thought; I hope you find your beloved soon."

"I already have," Huo Sinan said seriously, looking at Qiao Rui.

Had it not been too abrupt, he would have reached to hold her hand, pouring out his passionate heart.

Qiao Rui was still expressionless, saying lightly, "Oh, then I wish you and that lady happiness. I’m going downstairs to eat; I’m hungry."

Huo Sinan wanted to say that lady is you, but her words made it clear to him that she was rejecting him.
