"Cheers. ’ we clink our glasses as everyone lets the information sink in. They placed food on the table and we had a relaxed dinner as we enjoyed the food that Benjamin’s team had cooked.

"And back to the matters at hand. Rex is missing. Alpha Lobo arrived at the site today and accused Conri without even batting an eye. He insisted Conri should produce Rex’s body. "Everest stated.

"He is pushing it, "Elder Zaya snapped.

"Don’t worry Godmother, he left empty-handed after Lucian arrived, " Conri spoke up.

"Did the security team arrive at the construction site?" Anisha inquired.

"Yes. We have synched the operations of the site with them, "Everest boasted.

"What security team?" Benjamin inquired.

"CEO Lucian requested we organize a twenty-four-hour security team on the site. And now I know why. Just in case, Alpha Lobo plants Rex’s body at the Freki and accuses Conri of the murderer. "Zeeb informed them.

I have a feeling he might dump the body there. But more so, I feel he encroached on the land and started digging for gold."

"Greedy bastard, " Zeeb muttered. "But we have our team on the ground searching for the last whereabouts of Rex. They saw him with Duciana going into a hotel. If my guess is right, she lured him and then they killed him. We just need to piece the pieces together."

"We need to ensure Conri’s properties, bank accounts, and assets are released as soon as possible. "

"Let me know when I can sign them over to Lucian," Conri urged

"I already drafted a fifty split on all properties when everything is signed. " I informed them.

The door of the pub opened and Conri stiffened next to me.

"What is it, Husband? "I whispered to him.

"Dolf sensed Alpha Lobo. He is here, "Conri muttered. Everyone’s eyes widened, and we all waited for his entry.

The minute he stepped foot into Benjamin’s pub, the air changed and the mood of the wolves went sullen. He was accompanied by a hunter and ten other forces. He spotted our table and his eyes flashed in anger. He made his way stood by the table and asked, "How come they did not invite me to this party ?"

"Relax, Alpha Lobo, this is just a small groundbreaking ceremony for the Freki Land resort project. We brought the workers here to celebrate and have a meal. Join us" Elder Zaya’s calm voice was too comical.

"A late invite. It seems like you are forcing my invitation on everyone. " He retorted but his eyes darted between Conri and then back to me.

"Husband, I am tired. How about we go home? "I purred. I could sense all the suppressed laughter around me as I acted shamelessly.

Conri’s eyes flashed with mischief but nodded, and then we stood up. " Godmother, we are leaving. We have had a long day today and we need to be at the construction site early in the morning. Thank you for coming on such short notice.."

"Cut the crap, Conri. Take your husband home and have your way with him. Newlyweds do not need an excuse, "Benjamin teased.

I watched Alpha Lobo’s nose flare and his eyes burnt with rage. The look did not go unnoticed and Ralph Isla added, "If Lucian was an omega, he would already be pregnant with pups"

Everest spilled all the beer from his mouth and it landed on Elder Zaya and Luna Elijah. They stood up and smacked his head while he apologized profusely. The waiters rushed over to wipe the table. Tala burst out laughing while Anisha giggled. My eyes twinkled at Conri, and I beckoned him with a finger to lean down so that I could whisper in his ear.

"Do you wanna take me home and have your way with me?" He turned his head towards me as our noses brushed and winked. I burst out laughing and pressed a kiss on his cheek.

Alpha Lobo stomped off and walked to the far corner of the bar. We could hear his growl all the way while Anisha giggled.

"Oh Lucian, you are so bad" Anisha raised her thumbs at me.

"How can two old people like you be like this? "Everest complained as he rubbed the back of his head.

"I am unapologetic," Benjamin chuckled.

Elder Zaya’s eyes widened as she pressed a hand on her lip, warning us that Alpha Lobo was listening in.

"Well, since you all want Lil’ Pup pregnant, I better take my leave. ’’ Conri spoke up.

Everyone’s jaw dropped in surprise as Conri dragged me off the bar and Ralph Isla whistled, banged the table, and yelled, "I will hold you to it! "
