We spent the whole night drinking in merry and by the time we went to bed it was way past midnight.

"Then why did you and Meglado spend so much time in the pearl nest?" Haida asked.

"Because Meglado was worried. They have plans to adopt Charry, but he was not sure she would agree" I explained to Haida.

"What? She will agree "Haida responded.

"Hence, I reassured him that she would agree, and we decided to have the Inuit sea ceremony and welcome Charry as the daughter of Dark Serpent Leader Asheral and The Immortal Spear Meglado. "I rubbed Haida’s cheeks.

"Charry will have a complete family "Haida beamed.

" Come on, let me get you to bed" I responded and stood up from the water, carrying Haida, placed her on the sink counter and rubbed the water out of her body, dried her hair, and then placed her on the bed, and pulled the beddings on her body and pressed a kiss on her temple and whispered to her " Goodnight". I went back to the bathroom and cleaned it up. Once done, I slid into the covers and hugged Haida and sleep engulfed me.

The sound of screams and children jumping up and down on the bed woke me up. I watched as Aiger and Adva jumped up and down on the bed as their mother yelled and they only giggled in response.

"Who let them out?" I scolded.

"It’s already midday "Haida explained, and my eyes widened.

"We overslept "I groaned.

"Time to get up." Haida laughed.

An hour later, we had showered, dressed, and joined Asheral and Meglado for brunch as the kids took out the kids to play.

"Meglado told me that you want to adopt Charry" I addressed Asheral.

"Yes, we do. But I am not sure that Charry will agree" Asheral whispered.

"She will "Haida responded with confidence.

"Good. I already called Alexandar and Charry. They should be here shortly "I announced.

"What?" Asheral looked scared. "Why did you not warn me?"

The loud laughter outside the door that came from Charry made Asheral stand up just as the babies rushed into the house yelling.

"Wait for me "Charry teased them and rushed into the house after them. Alexander was close behind and then lastly the maids walked in.

"My Lord, sorry for the disturbance" the maids spoke up.

"It’s fine, they are happy to see me" Charry chuckled.

"Come here" Asheral beckoned Charry, her eyes widened, and she complied and walked towards Asheral. "I have something to ask you."

"Yes," Charry spoke up before Asheral questioned.

"What?" Delgado seemed surprised.

"I have not even asked the question "Asheral laughed nervously.

"The answer is Yes" Charry answered.

"You agree to us adopting you as our daughter?" Delgado asked.

"Yes. It would be an Honor to have you as my parents "Charry beamed and Asheral pulled her into an embrace as tears flowed freely down her cheeks. Delgado walked over pulled them both into his arms and patted Charry’s head.

"Thank you, Charry, we promise to treat you well now and, in the future, "Meglado announced.

"This called for a celebration "Haida clapped.

"Meglado, it would be good to hold the adoption ceremony befitting of the daughter of the Immortal spear and the Dark Serpent shifter Leader," I spoke up and Meglado turned around and nodded at me in appreciation.

Two hours before sunset we stood by the beach with flowers and offerings of the serpent shifters and everyone from the Sitka serpents came to witness the ceremony. I moved to stand between Asheral and Meglado. I watched as Kaito and Yari held the babies and Alexandar stood beside them beaming with happiness.

"The ancient Inuit ceremony has commenced. "I announced and Haida held Charry’s hand as the serpent shifters chanted the ancient words "Out of the sea, we are born, above the sea we live, and into the sea we die. We become one with the sea and belong to one family."

"Meglado and Asheral, I entrust Charry into your hands. She is a formidable protector from the dark serpent shifters clan. Her loyalty is unwavering and has been instrumental in forming the Sitka Serpent shifters clan and governance. Mated to deputy General of the serpent shifters Alexander and sworn to protect the queen of the sea and my mate Haida, today she takes on the new role of a daughter. "I spoke up as Haida handed Charry to Asheral and Meglado.

"Thank you Haida" Charry beamed, and tears flowed freely from her eyes.

Everyone from the serpent shifters placed the flowers into the sea and bowed chanting "We thank you mother sea for giving us life" Once done, they all walked to Meglado and Asheral and placed Garland on Asheral and Charry’s heads and then the rest on Meglado’s neck.

"Congratulations Meglado and Asheral "Their voices boomed.

"Thank you" Meglado and Ashera responded.

"Congratulations Charry "Alexander walked over and pressed a kiss on her temple.

"Thank you love. "Charry blushed.

"Thank you all for coming. We appreciate your presence" Haida thanked everyone and then we stood by the beach and watched the beautiful view of the sun setting.

As darkness set in, the serpent shifters went back home, and we walked back to the villa for dinner.

Charry sat next to Asheral, and Haida as they whispered amongst each other, and Meglado watched them in fascination as he sat next to me and Alexander.

"Charry" I spoke up.

"Yes, my lord," She responded.

"Now that you have Meglado as your father. It would be best to take on his last name. What do you think?"

"I think that is a fine idea. She will have Meglado’s name and mine" Alexander nodded.

"Charry Lir Nov" Haida announced.

"What a befitting name. "Asheral patted Charry’s hand.

I stood up and my voice boomed in the room "Charry Lir Nov, the mate of Sitka Governor and the deputy General of the serpent sea god and now the daughter of the dark serpent shifters leader Asheral and the Immortal spear of Hnoss Meglado, we celebrate you."

And true to my words, the sea roared, and we all clapped and made merry. I stared at my family and never expected to have such a happy ending. My eyes turned to Mother Sea, I felt her words push through my mind. " Bering, you have done well for yourself."

" Thank you Mother Sea. I will promise to protect the shifters as long as I breathe. I will continue to do so and will not fail you." I responded.

" I will hold your word to it Tizheruk Bering" Mother Sea responded as a large wave rose up and then all was calm in the sea.
