It was hours later, when sleep took over and the last thought in my mind was the fact that eggs would hatch anytime.

I must have overslept because when I woke up, Haida was nowhere in bed and the seagulls chirped so loud that I knew it was way past midday. I got out of bed and took a quick shower. I left the bedroom and went down for a late brunch. Haida was seated by the balcony staring at the sea and she stood up when I walked in.

" They have gone to the beach. Hurry up and we have breakfast because Cynthia and the Stika council are on the way to the governor’s mansion." Haida announced.

On my way, I made a call to Conri and he answered on the second ring" You are finally awake"

"Yes. Am headed to the Governor’s mansion to deal with the Sitka council. " I informed him.

" Lucian wanted to spend time on the beach. See you for dinner. We leave tomorrow for Chugach" Conri stated.

" Ask Lucian to build a bridge between Chugach and Sitka. He has the money to do so" I chuckled.

"He is considering it " Conri burst out laughing as we bit each other and disconnected the call.

We arrived at the Governor’s mansion and Charry was already at the entrance waiting for us.

" My Lord, Lady Haida ’’ She bowed. " The council members have arrived already and Elder Cynthia is waiting for you. "

" Show time " I smirked and we marched to Alexander’s office. Chary rushed forward and opened the door as Cynthia and Alexander stood up, pretending to be in shock, and said " Greetings My Lord "

" I just arrived in Stika, are you having a meeting ?" I demanded.

The rest of the council members stood up and piped " Greetings my Lord. "

"Forget the formalities. " I smiled warmly and pulled Haida close to me and we sat down on the empty seats.

" Charry, send the guards to arrest all the family members of these four elders. Bring them over at the Governor’s mansion where their sentences will be read out. I will not allow betrayers and tolerate deceit" I commanded.

Your greed is the cause of your exile and your family will suffer from it. Now get out of my sight" I commanded and they rushed out of the office and the door closed behind them.

" Elder Cythnia, go and find good men and women that we can appoint in the Sitka council to govern our kind. I will leave this as a task for you and Alexander. "
