By the time I got to bed, it was three am. I tossed and turned until I fell asleep close to dawn. Ma banged my bedroom door and yelled " How dare you sleep till midday?"

My feet hit the floor as I sat on the bed, and looked at the clock on the bedside table and cursed.

" Shit! Am late" I growled more to myself as I hit the shower and hurriedly dressed, ensuring to look my best since I was going to meet my mates. By the time I went downstairs, Ma and Grandma had already left the breakfast table. I sat and gobbled down the plate of food left and then asked Mama for the car keys.

" Where are you headed off looking so handsome?" Mama demanded.

" I have a meeting at the Due Corporation before I head out to the Pack offices. I wanted to finalize the transfer of the land. I was proposing that even though the land is transferred to the pack, I wish that you remain the guardian of the land."

" No need. I trust Lucian and Conri to do right by the lands. I am no longer interested in anything that touches on your father. I want to focus on your grandmother and settle her into a comfortable life as soon as possible"

"Okay Mama" I walked over and pressed a kiss on her forehead bid her farewell and left the house.

Driving through the wet roads, the sound of the afternoon rain hit my windows and I welcomed how calm it felt and yet I could feel that Storm my wolf was anxious.

" What is it ?" I send the words through our mind link

" I am worried about the little wolf, " Storm said.

" So am I. But I want to trust fate once more. He brought Toten to us last night and I assume that it will be well today. " I answered with reassurance.

" I doubt it. I have a feeling he will be hard to deal with " Storm answered and went back to sleep.

I arrived at the Due corporation half an hour later and took the lift up to Totten’s office after inquiring from the guards at the reception. They seemed to be expecting me as they guided me on where to go. The minute I got off the lift I found John Tharn pacing by the reception and his body stiffened when he saw me approaching. I walked over and stood a few meters from him and his eyes darted all over. He wore a gray suit that brought out his long legs and had a pull neck that enhanced his neck.

" Are you here to receive me ?" I asked and smiled affectionately at him.

He nodded cleared his throat and answered " Yes"

" Good. I am safe in your hands. Where are we headed" I teased him and watched a blush rise on his cheek.

" Toten is expecting you in his office. I will show you the way" He stammered as he turned around.

" He sent you to receive me? I doubt that you wanted to come but I appreciate you making the effort" I drawled as he walked ahead and my eyes were glued to his sexy back.

" What can I do when he orders me to?" John Tharn muttered through gritted teeth.

" He is testing you " I chuckled and John Tharn stepped and he halted and turned around.

"Why?" He demanded.

" Don’t you feel it ?" I asked him.

" I don’t want to feel anything." He turned and walked towards a large door, knocked, and pushed it open.

" I told you, " Storm whispered in my mind.

I straightened my shoulders and walked towards the office. Toten was standing by the window and turned around with a smile. He wore a black suit that hugged his sexy body and a white shirt with a silver tie. I wanted to rush over and embrace him but held back because I was unsure he would appreciate my lusty and horny self." You are here"

" I overslept. Sorry " I chuckled as I walked into the office.

I saw Toten’s eyes dart to the door and it forced me to turn my head to see what he was looking at. John Tharn’s jaw had dropped as he watched our interaction and there was this comical look of disbelief on his face.

" Don’t tell me you expected us not to get along? " Toten walked over to the spot where I stood and snaked his hand around my waist. My body shuddered at the action and I stepped closer to him ensuring our bodies touched.

" What the fuck is this? " John pointed at us.

" What do you think it is ?" I responded as I leaned down and pressed a kiss on Toten’s temple.

" Wow," He rubbed his hair and gritted his teeth.

" Our little wolf is surprised. He did not expect it " Toten stated in a teasing tone

" What little wolf ?" John Tharn cursed as he closed the door of the office and ran.

" I expected him to put up a bigger fight " I chuckled as Toten stared up at me.

" He will," Toten responded as we both moved in unison and shared a kiss.

" You taste so good" I whispered as I continued to kiss him and pulled him close to me.

" And you smell heavenly " He responded in between the kisses. By the time we came up for air, Toten had pulled me to the couch and we sat down staring at each other.

" I rarely slept. I came to work late "He laughed.

" I tossed and turned for hours before my body gave way and I fell asleep.

" I know you are worried about our little wolf, " Toten said with a serious tone in his voice.

" I am. He seems to be reeling in shock and does not understand that mates are fated. The moon gods are decisive when it comes to mating" I muttered.

" Anyway, I am glad to see you. I prepared the transfer documents for the pearl farm and lands and wanted you to have a look at them before I shared them with Anisha"

" I trust you. Though I have one request " I whispered.

" What is it? " Toten remained calm in waiting.

" I want Mama to remain the guardian of the Pearl farm and Lands. " I informed him.

" I don’t see a problem. I will add the clause for you " He nodded and pulled my hand in his assurance.

" She did not agree to it and this is my request. I know her well and she does not trust easily " I added.

" I understand. Your mother is a proud woman. She has been through so much and I would understand if she felt that she did not want anything to do with the Aria lands after the suffering she went through"

" Mmmh" I nodded as my eyes went to his neck.

" What distracted you ?" Toten teasing voice rose and my eyes snapped to his meeting the twinkle in his eyes.

I smiled and opened the top button of his shirt, pulled the tie-down, exposed his neck, placed my hands on it, and rubbed the spot with my thumb" Your beautiful neck has me distracted. "

" I can tell you want to sink your teeth in and mark me " He laughed.

" I do. I want to tear this suit that looks so sexy on you and have my way with you" I confessed as I leaned down and rubbed my nose on his neck.

His little moan made my body crazy as he pulled me close and whispered "Oh Lovita, do you not know how crazy handsome you are"

" I dont " I opened my mouth and licked his neck, pressing tiny kisses all over

" Why the fuck are we in the office? " He cursed and chuckled.

I pulled back adjusted his clothes and said " Someone is coming. We moved apart as Toten walked over to his desk, adjusted his pants, and sat down making me burst out in laughter.

A knock on the door and Toten yelled " Come in"

Anisha Freki walked in and stopped in surprise when she saw me seated on the couch.

" I am sorry to barge in, I did not know you were here " She spoke to me.

" It’s fine. I came to finalize the documentation. " I stood up.

" Oh," She responded.

" I was just leaving. See you later" I spoke to Toten before I walked out of the door and closed it behind me. I walked to the reception area and found our little wolf seated by the large desk looking displeased.

" I am leaving " I spoke up and he ignored me and huffed " I will be back in the evening " I added.

" What does that have to do with me ?" He finally spoke up.

I moved closer to the desk and he got off his chair and took a step back. " Let us have a chat. I think we need to be clear on who is calling the shot and even more sore who will deal with your rebellion" I drew before waving at him and I got onto the lift and left.

" He will run " Strom pushed the words through.

" Toten will never let him run. I have full trust in him" I grunted.
