When I stirred the next day Sayuri was nowhere in sight after our night rendezvous. Dragging myself to the living room, I found the cushion we messed up had been changed and the place was spotless clean.

On the kitchen counter, breakfast was placed and there was even a flower vase with fresh flowers. I smirked and pulled a stool, poured myself coffee, and dug into the food. An hour later, I left the secluded villa, shifted, and went for a run in the Tochigi woods.

The cold mountain air hit Aria’s node and he snarled in annoyance as we raced into the woods.

" Why would you sleep with her ?" Aria demanded and I could feel the betrayal in his voice.

" Don’t you feel relieved? My mind is at ease and Sayuri helped us before. "

" You let her drink your blood " Aria growled as he stopped running and stood definitely.

" I did. And you know how good it felt last night to have someone to share all these. Free your mind off Conri he is mated to Lucian. "

" I want his power," Aria growled.

" You want his power, yes. But he does not want us and hence he will not be our mate" I reasoned with Aria. He only huffed and we took off and went deep in the mountains. Being out here made me feel free and energetic and by the time I went back to the secluded villa, I was more relaxed than ever. Shifting back, I dressed and walked in. The scent of Sayuri hit my nostrils and then I turned to the kitchen counter and was met with the tray of food.

" Does she only know how to feed me while hiding? " I chuckled.

I opted to shower first and then walked barefoot from the room and then stopped when I spotted Kaka feasting on my food.

" You finally showed up" I snapped at him and walked over to glare down at him.

" I picked up your scent in the woods and knew it was safe to come out. " He responded with his mouth full.

I snickered and pulled a stool next to him and then grabbed a piece of meat from the plate and bit into it.

" I was worried, " I informed him.

" So was I. Tabular is in a bad state and he thought you were dead" Kaka explained.

" I was half dead " I retorted and it came out as a chuckle.

" That you were "Kaka turned and our eyes clashed. ’’ So you slept with Sayuri? His scent is all over your body "

" Why can’t you just ignore it and keep your mouth shut ?" I demanded as I picked more food from the plate.

" I can’t. I think that it’s a good thing. The more you rely on her, the better for you to heal" Kaka expounded.

" I don’t want to discuss who I sleep with, with you. ’’ I dismissed him.

" But who else will you discuss with? I know that it’s better to discuss it with me than others’ ’ Kaka smirked.

" Shut up Kaka" I growled.

" I know that Sayuri has been picky and always thought she was in love with Isamu. But the reality is that she was filled with nonsense by my elder Ayama. Hence you would assume she is a rotten apple but in reality, she is just a woman who needs to be loved. Her Vampire powers are unique and she can heal one’s mind and she chose to do it for you. I am not asking you to marry her but do not mistreat her" Kaka asserted.

" Fine. Can we discuss something else ?" I huffed.

" Can you tell me how you woke up? " Kaka pushed the empty plate aside and I stood up to wash my hands and place the plate on the sink. I picked up two bottles of water from the fridge and handed one to him.

" I am not sure but Aria stated that my brother Lyal’s death could have contributed to it. His shifter powers were behind what jolted Aria and me awake. I am told that Lucian performed the Humanoid spell and that is how the shifter’s powers came into me. " I explained.

" I heard of it before. I know that it takes a powerful witch to do it. That means that Lucian has witch powers" Kaka raised one eyebrow.

" Fuck" I seethed feeling all the anger towards Lucian.

" I had a first-hand witness on the power of Conri and Lucian. They have immortal blood in them. " Kaka announced. ’’ Conri has the power of the king of wolves, with Dolf as his wolf, every wolf bows to him. And Lucian is a Freki. The white wolf from the Odin lineage. He is unmatched as an omega hence I have no idea where got the power of the witches. This is the ultimate power that can protect the mind from being penetrated. Combining all their powers plus Adora then Tabular couldn’t excel. "

" I gathered that from when we tried to penetrate his mind" I responded.

Kaka took out the Tabular crystal from a side back he held in his pocket and placed it on the counter. I took a step back and felt Aria howl in pain. It was a reminder of how much pain we felt when Conri pushed out Tabular from our minds.

" Calm down, " Kaka said. " He does not have power in him and it would take almost ten years for him to regain his power. Hence I wanted to leave him with you but it seems you are not in the right frame of mind to handle it "" He took it back and placed it in the little bag he held.

" I am not sure I want to experience the same pain. It was hard to harness it and when it was taken out of my mind and blood, I lost it. Aria was in so much pain that it knocked us out. I could feel blood oozing from my mouth and nose" I whispered.

" Take your time to heal. I know that Sayuri’s healing methods are unethical but you need them. Aria has to accept or you will live in fear for the rest of your life, " Kaka warned.

I rubbed my face in frustration and my fingers went through my hair. " What would you advise?"

" You need to push Conri out of your mind completely," Kaka stated. " Work on the fear that rules your mind and I would urge you to think about keeping Sayuri next to you for a year or two"

" Do you like something?" I demanded.

" Hahah" Kaka burst out laughing and then walked over to pat my shoulder " That is not Lobo. It’s because of her power that I want her to be around you. She can teach you how to protect your mind and heal from fear."

" Are you leaving? " I asked him.

" Yes. Only you, Sayuri, Isamu, and Zineb know that I am back. The rest are in the dark about It " Kaka stated.

" You don’t trust them?" I chuckled.

" I only trust you and Isamu. " He responded with a serious face.

" The woman you are pushing me to is not on your list " I smirked.

" I need you to trust me so that I can trust her fully " He pointed at my heart.

" Impossible " I whispered.

" Nothing is impossible Lobo. I have seen everything on this earth to know that. " Kaka said wistfully.

" They call you seer but- " I never finished the sentence.

" I was once a Yakuza seer but they sent a woman to seduce me and I lost my gift of sight. My powers are intact but that little bit of being able to see what no one can, it hurt like a bitch when I did. I lost hope in my life but Isamu brought me back and took me in. Since then, I only trust him and answer to him alone" Kaka narrated.

" I wonder what you saw in me" I piped.

" I saw myself in you" Kaka whispered as he walked by and headed for the door.

" How do I contact you ?" I demanded.

He turned back and stated " Sayuri knows how to reach out to me " And with that, he was gone and I was left alone in the solace of the secluded villa.

" Are you okay " I sent the words through to Aria.

" Yes," He responded.

" The pain we felt is not worth it. I don’t want to go through that again, " I informed Aria.

" I know and I can understand the fear we both feel" Aria whined.

" What about Sayuri?" I shot the question even though I knew that it would make Aria angry.

He was silent for a while before he responded " She made you relax and I can feel the calmness in our mind. I am no longer in a turmoil. " Aria confessed.

" Kaka says we need her. And I know he wants the best for us. No one has ever cared for us except for Zineb. Even Lyal was selfish. Everyone in Chugach betrayed me. Hunter, Boris, Ralph, Keith. I trusted them and they let me down. " I whispered as I walked towards the large windows and stood out staring at the falling snow.

" Especially Hunter," Aria growled.

" I know. I have a plan for him, one which will ensure that he ends up dead"
