Chapter 160: COMPARING NOTES WITH ISAMU

LOBO ARIA’S POV

The growling sounds from the mangy wolves alerted me awake from the afternoon nap that I had taken out of boredom and most anxiety in waiting.

" Alpha" one of the guards spoke up. " We have company down the mountains. The wolves sensed them coming and I sent the guards to check. It seemed like we are surrounded and I was waiting for the guards to return and report.

I opened my senses as Aria took control and merged with the mangy wolves to check on what was happening within the forest radius. All the four Hybrids were headed to the mountain. But on the far east, I sensed Zineb and one more Hybrid. Hence I deduced that Isamu must have encountered danger and taken Zineb with him. But where was Lyal?

" Let us use the mangy wolves to distract them and give Isamu leeway to get to us" Aria suggested.

" Yes" I nodded and sent the command to the wolves and they left the mountain. Only one wolf remained behind.

" Alpha, what do you need from us " The enforcer guards asked.

" Stay put. The wolves will take care of them and ofcourse all the traps we set" I stated and walked back into the caves.

" Wait" Aria rose. " Conri is with them"

I turned around and listened in to the mountain and sensed both Conri and Lucian. They were accompanied by two more people that I could not scent. I knew it must be his cousin but who was the other person?

" He came " I smiled.

" He did but you do know he wants to kill you " Aria announced.

" Yes. But we want him" Aria growled.

" We do" I chuckled.

" But first we need Isamu" I whispered " He is carrying the Tabular crystal with him.

We stood by the caves waiting as the day went on. Fierce battles in the woods were heard as the mangy wolves fought off the Hybrid wolves. Two hours later, the guards appeared with Isamu. He was carrying Zineb in his back and then moved with Vampire speed and stood before me.

Zineb looked embarrassed but got off his back and handed me the bag with the Tabular Crystal.

" It was easier to carry her or else she would slow me down" Isamu snickered.

I turned to stare at Zineb and I could feel the anger that boiled in her and it was directed to Isamu. I was more comfortable with her being angry at him.

" Come on" I instructed. " We need to get into the mines. "

Isamu, Zineb, and the guards followed me while Aria commanded the wolves to retreat. Much to our surprise only one wolf came back. " Conri Dolf is becoming a menace"

" I doubt he is the one who killed them all" Isamu noted.

" Why do you say so ?" Zineb demanded.

" There are two more people with them. I could not scent them well but one of them is very powerful"

" Conri’s cousin" Zineb stated. " I think he is the one who is the most powerful"

" But I did not sense his wolf " I insisted.

" He must be more than a wolf." Isamu eyes glowed. " Let them come"

" I dont want a fight. I need to wield the crystal and get over with it " I emphasized.

" The skies will be clear tonight. If we can hold them off until then, you will have your chance" Isamu nodded.

" That is the plan. But where is Lyal ?" I demanded.

" It was either her or him" Isamu pointed at Zineb. "I believe women should be protected. "

" What ?" I growled " You are interested in my sister? I told them she is off limits"

" I am the one who is attracted to him. He rejected me " Zineb spoke as she sidestepped me and walked into the mine.

Isamus shrugged his shoulders and followed her. I was left seething in anger. There was no way I would let my sister be with such an evil being like Isamu.

" I can smell his blood in her " Aria noted.

" What the fuck do you mean ?" I staggered back.

" She has his blood in her veins" Aria repeated.

I followed them and then growled out loud making the two of them turn around.

" Why do you smell like him ?" I demanded.

" You mean why does she have my blood ?" Isamu raised an eyebrow.

" I was not even aware that I have his blood " Zineb seethed and her hands were fisted at her sides a sign she was ready to fight Isamu.

" What is going on ?" I faced Isamu.

" The only way to track where she is was to get my blood in her. I saved Lyal because I followed her and she led the way to the hospital. And when Jaxton held a knife to her throat, I felt her fear and rescued her. ’

" What?" my eyes widened.

" He is dead " Isamu snickered.

" Why protect her if you are not interested in her ?" I retorted.

" Lobo, do you want to marry your sister ?" Isamu stepped forward.

" What the fuck is wrong with the two of you? I am right here and you speak as if I am not. Can we concentrate on the matter at hand? We have intruders coming our way. We need to get deeper into the mines and if possible blow the entrance. " Zineb reasoned.

" That was the plan. The Cinnabar mine has four exits. We blow the entrance and they will have no way to get to us" I explained.

" Good. Now can we go ?" Isamu growled.

" I wonder who would win if we fought" I muttered under gritted teeth.

" You have no way of winning Lobo. Isamu is a cruel beast" Zineb responded as she turned around and walked deeper into the mines.

" Blow up the entrance once everyone enters" I commanded the guards and followed Zineb and Isamu.

Twenty minutes later, the loud blast of the mines almost defeated our ears as we moved deeper into the mines. The Mangy wolves seemed wary of Isamu and they kept a distance while they watched him in awe.

" Cinnabar will never make them as strong as you want them to be. You need my blood for them to be as lethal and fierce as you want them to be" Isamu chuckled.

" You can’t keep dumping your blood everywhere ’" Zineb cursed and Isamu burst out laughing.

" The two of you are giving me a headache" I growled.

" You will get used to it as long as I am around. Once you are done with the crystal, I will be out of your hair" Isamu responded and Zineb’s steps faltered. She turned to him her eyes blazing and he ignored her and walked on.

" I need more wolves hence I will consider your offer, " I said

But noticed the tension between Isamu and Zineb had increased as we settled deeper into the mine. There was a small office and a resting room. Zineb walked to the resting room and closed the door while Isamu and I occupied the office. I placed the Tabular Crystal on the table and then leaned back on the chair.

" Do you know how the Hybrids who were brought to me by Fridolf know Lucian?" I asked Isamu

He shook his head and responded " These Hybrids are trained assassins. Military if am not wrong"

" That means they met Lucian when he was in the military" I growled.

" That could be it but what I dont get is how they knew where I was " Isamu was deep in thought.

" Conri’s godmother, a woman named Zaya Dolf had connections to the Yakuza" I explained.

" Did you say Zaya Dolf?" Isamu stood up.

" Do you know her ?" I leaned foward and asked him.

" Shit " Isamu rubbed his face in frustration.

" Speak up " I demanded.

" Zaya Dolf is one of the richest women in the world. She has been funding the Yakuza for so many years. Her connections go deep into the Yakuza and the guardians. And we heard she was dying but miraculously she was healed. "

" Conri Dolf the person who has the Adora Crystal is the one who healed her" I explained.

" You have been fooled. The Adora crystal has no healing powers. The only thing that can heal anyone is the Sea serpent. But we killed it years ago. So there is no way Zaya was healed unless she is pretending. " Isamu stood up.

" What? What do you mean? Sea serpent god? "

" The Tizheruk. A sea serpent god. The very powerful and lethal beast that has teleporting, shifter, and healing powers. Its scales have healing powers and that is the only thing that could have healed Zoya Dolf. "

" What a minute, last month a new person walked into town. Conri’s cousin is, a tall guy, blonde, broad shoulders, and arrogant. I could sense his power but I was not sure what kind of shifter he was."

" No fucking way " Isamu growled

" What do you mean ?" I asked.

" That is the Tizheruk" Isamu yelled.

" What the fuck did you say?"
