What Zhou Yun didn’t expect was that three days later, after receiving a call, Zhou Lan suddenly questioned her with a darkened face, "Did you contact external platforms in private?"

Zhou Yun frowned.

"Sister Lan, what do you mean by going back on our word? When did we agree to star in that romance drama?"

Zhou Lan’s face turned stiff, and after two seconds of silence, she said, "The company has already decided to take on that romance drama for you."

"What?" Zhou Yun looked at Zhou Lan, shocked.

"So you see how serious this issue is now?" Zhou Lan said sternly, "The cardinal sin of the industry is double-dealing. If this gets out, no other producer will dare employ you."

A cold glint flashed in Zhou Yun’s eyes.

"Sister Lan, are you looking for trouble with me now? When did I know that the agency had taken on that romance drama for me? When did I say I would do it?"

Zhou Lan: "This is the company’s decision. You can’t do Song Chi’s drama."

Zhou Yun let out a cold laugh.

"So you’re not only here to accuse me but also to unilaterally inform me that I can’t do Song Chi’s drama, right?"

A trace of subtle hesitation crossed Zhou Lan’s face, but she ultimately steeled herself and said, "The company has already made the decision."

Zhou Lan’s tone softened, the anger on her face fading as she sighed and her eyes reddened, but avoided Zhou Yun’s gaze, "I know this feels unfair to you, but the company has already agreed in advance to let you do Liu Pinran’s drama."

"When was this agreed upon? Without my consent?"

Zhou Yun glared at Zhou Lan.

Zhou Lan turned her head away, "It was agreed upon several days ago. Since you’ve always been resistant to that romance drama, I never found the right moment to tell you."

Zhou Yun sneered, "So you’ve been keeping it from me?"
