Chapter 952: Chapter 953: Competing for the Passage

In the Inner World, not every place is connected to the real world.

The center of the entire Inner World is an incredibly vast continent, with a mountain range on it that might be larger than the entire Earth.

Five suns and seven moons revolve around this continent in a certain pattern, just barely allowing each part of the continent to see the sun by day and the moon by night.

The existence of such a place is extremely unscientific, and physicists would vomit blood upon seeing it; however, the Inner World is not a place of science.

This is the gathering place of all fantasies, where various strange and mysterious things converge.

Outside the main continent, there are numerous star systems of varying sizes, all of which are inhabited by intelligent life forms forming civilizations.

These star systems make up the starry sky that the main continent of the Inner World observes, and beyond these star systems lies an endless, blurry Gray Mist!

This boundless Gray Mist is the same Gray Mist Layer seen on Earth.

The Gray Mist Layer is vast, and the part related to Earth is only a portion of it.

Each small piece of Gray Mist represents a world being eroded by the Inner World; once the erosion is complete, this world will be pulled into the Inner World, becoming a small piece of Stardust within it.

As a Star Realm God, Lofvis spent a great cost to reach the part of the Gray Mist Layer connected to Earth.

Having found the area corresponding to Sihu City, Lofvis discovered many wandering demons and even saw a dazzling white figure from afar.

Lofvis is a veteran rune expert, far surpassing the Pure White Lord in his mastery of various rituals.

With the guidance of the Rune Book, he has some confidence in claiming the ritual as his own and descending into reality through it.

However, he must not rush; choosing the right time is crucial. As a Star Realm God of the Demon affiliation, he, Lofvis, might not be able to win against the Pure White Lord in a direct confrontation, so he must choose the right moment to act.

Cloaked in gray, Lofvis watched the progress of the ritual from afar. As the starlight arrived, a blurry crack opened up and quickly began to expand.

The Pure White Lord, Klauri, was a towering white demon, with every inch of his skin white, clad in pure white armor.

Behind him stood a group of demons of various forms, all wearing white clothing as well.

Klauri was in no hurry to step inside; the passage was still too fragile. It would be better to enter once it was large enough so he could bring along more subordinates.

He had some understanding of the situation on the other side and didn’t want to venture into that world alone.

The world eroded by the Inner World is ultimately destined to become part of the Inner World.

If the Pure White Lord could make demons the most powerful force in that world before then, the new world would become part of the Abyss, and he would receive commendation from higher demons.

Seeing that the crack had spread sufficiently, Klauri reached his foot towards the rift.

But just then, a fist the size of a sandbag suddenly struck his cheek, sending him flying hundreds of meters away.

Klauri looked closely and found that it was a mysterious Star Realm God wearing a concealed gray robe.

"Who goes there?"

Lofvis chuckled and began to take control of the ritual. Klauri’s subordinates wanted to stop Lofvis, but there was a vast gap in power between them, and they posed no real threat to Lofvis.

Klauri roared in anger and shouted at Lofvis, a pure white energy column shooting from his mouth, but the energy column suddenly twisted in mid-air and hit himself.

It was then that Klauri realized that he was already surrounded by densely packed Rune Arrays!

Countless Rune Arrays interlinked, segmenting the area around Klauri into an independent world, one that he couldn’t break through easily.

Meanwhile, Lofvis also encountered some difficulties; the ritual consisted of 666 wandering spirits and 666 humans, a ritual open only to demons.

Although Lofvis could decipher the mysteries within, it would take some time. The Rune Arrays surrounding Klauri were the result of years of Lofvis’s continuation, enough to stall Klauri for a while, but to keep him trapped indefinitely... that would be challenging.

But Lofvis had no choice; he had to succeed. Now that he had already offended these demons, it was unlikely he could live peacefully even if he returned to the Pale Forest.

...

Brookley stood atop a tower, watching the chaotic scene before him, his expression grim and terrifying.

The scene of devastation before him showed that the attackers came well-prepared, even calculating the timing of their assault.

Moreover, the opposing side had at least five True Sequences, along with a large number of superpower users and monsters, placing the demon side at a disadvantage in strength.

Given the current situation, regardless of how Brookley strategized, their defeat seemed inevitable.

The only way to break through was to go all out and create mutual destruction, forcing these humans to focus on rescuing, leaving no room to disrupt the ritual, allowing the Pure White Lord to descend smoothly. Only then could they possibly reverse their decline and achieve victory.

So he took out the Magical Conch once more and blew it forcefully.

Upon hearing the sound of the conch, mosquitoes and Tentacle Monsters that had been focused on their adversaries abandoned the Containment Officers and Demon Hunters in front of them, scattering in all directions.

Their task now was not to fend off the invasion but to break through the encirclement and indiscriminately slaughter every human they saw!

The Tentacle Monsters and mosquitoes together exceeded ten thousand in number. Such a vast number, once dispersed, could decimate the entire city; Brookley couldn’t believe the Hunter Association would turn a blind eye to these creatures.

The Hunter Association had its strategies for the abnormal behavior of mosquitoes and Tentacle Monsters.

One by one, Giant Statue Soldiers walked down from trucks, one hand wielding a gun barrel that could serve as a cannon, and the other hand bore a grimly rotating chainsaw blade.

The Giant Statue Soldiers quickly shot at the Tentacle Monsters and mosquitoes, each shot taking down a monster, their agility far surpassing the large Giant Statue Soldiers Wen Wen had seen before.

From what Wen Wen knew, controlling the Giant Statue Soldiers placed a tremendous burden on humans, which previously required three people to operate together, resulting in various drawbacks such as lack of agility.

But now, the Giant Statue Soldiers needed only one person to manage them, making them much more nimble and able to confront some monsters head-on. However, it was unclear how the Hunter Association had solved the burden issue of the Giant Statue Soldiers’ operators.

On the rooftops outside the automobile manufacturing plant were four-man teams.

Each four-man team consisted of a sniper and three supporters holding assault rifles, each with a long sword at their waist, vastly different from ordinary Supporters.
