Chapter 828 Reaching a Consensus
Chapter 828: Chapter 828 Reaching a Consensus
With just a few words, Wen Wen reached a consensus with the Demon Hunters, so their enemies became the horde of monsters behind Wen Wen.
Wu Liugen set up the Buddha Gatling, golden energy poured into the Gatling, and the bullets gleamed with golden light, howling into the monster horde, taking down a small creature with each shot.
Behind Gu Panxi, two pairs of crystal-like wings unfolded, one pair more solid, the other more ethereal.
This signified her strength at the Middle Sequence; at the Upper Sequence, both pairs of wings would be solid, and at the True Sequence, she would have three pairs of solid wings.
Her crystal wings lightly flapped, and the crystallized feathers, like flying daggers, stabbed into the Undead, causing them to melt away rapidly as if snowmen pierced by a branding iron.
The Fearful Butterfly was not to be outdone, its colorful green butterflies flew into the group of Undead.
The scales from the butterflies caused an itch deep within the souls of the Undead, compelling them to scratch their flesh until their entire bodies disintegrated.
As for the two minor Demon Hunters, they do not need to be mentioned for now; their strength was not inferior to Gu Panxi’s.
To prove he harbored no ill intentions, Wen Wen charged headlong into the monsters, releasing Black Chains from his left hand.
The identity Wen Wen used now was the mysterious Supernatural Power user of the Black Cross, not the Demon Hunter Wen Wen.
Thus, he refrained from using abilities that might be recognized by Wu Liugen or Gu Panxi, opting instead for the Sanctuary Powers he had always kept hidden as a Demon Hunter, a choice most fitting.
Unlike the right hand chains, which focused on absorbing and capturing, the left hand chains, taken from Wen Li, were primarily for ’releasing’ and ’attacking’!
The chains released from his left hand were sharp and bladed, much sturdier and more powerful than those on his right, fully matching Wen Wen’s current strength.
In other words, these chains could reach damage capacity at the True Order Level!
The massive Patchwork Monster brandished a blood-stained cutting blade, followed by a towering zombie.
Yet before they could reach Wen Wen and the others, a thick chain pierced the Patchwork Monster’s mouth, broke through its skull, and skewered the zombie behind.
Each Black Chain, like enormous black Centipedes, annihilated all the Undead along their path.
But the most lethal wasn’t the black chains; many Undead agilely avoided all chains and other Demon Hunter attacks, yet inexplicably, as they charged forward, their bodies suddenly split in two!
Under the combined efforts of six people, those small fry monsters that surged forth were swiftly slaughtered.
But the gigantic Dry Bone Undead still leaped and bounded.
Its destructive power and high-temperature flames, ultimately, were only of the Upper Sequence Level, yet its body was unbelievably tough, bearing only insignificant dents even under the attack of the Buddha Gatling.
This Dry Bone Undead loved charging to the front lines, but something seemed wrong this time.
How did it charge and charge until it was the only one left?
The few Demon Hunters and Wen Wen coldly stared at the massive Undead, exerting immense pressure, causing it to halt its charge and prepare to retreat.
But before it could manage a few steps, it was horrified to discover it couldn’t move!
Every bone faced enormous resistance whenever it tried to move, and upon closer inspection, it saw itself tightly bound by dense lines.
"This is... the Tailor Craftsman’s Flesh Sewing Needle, you, you..."
Upon realizing escape was impossible, the Dry Bone Undead’s eyes flashed fiercely, its body suddenly covered in cracks.
Wen Wen’s eyes flickered, knowing this was a precursor to self-destruction, so he immediately released numerous chains, weaving a wall of chains in front of the Dry Bone Undead.
Wu Liugen then used Divine Footwork to swiftly pull the two minor Demon Hunters behind the chain wall.
The next second, the Dry Bone Undead exploded, cyan flames and bone fragments leveling the surroundings.
Wen Wen felt a bit stifled; the self-destruction of a Disaster Upper Order Undead was indeed astonishingly powerful.
If it weren’t for a large part of its strength needing to return to the Dim Domain, even Wen Wen would have suffered minor injuries.
After the chains moved aside, only a giant crater remained before them, surrounded by small pits shot by sharp bone spurs.
Seeing the chaotic scene, Gu Panxi was shaken, thinking that if they had been unprepared for the explosion, everyone in their team except Wu Liugen would have been seriously injured or worse.
Now she believed Wen Wen was on their side, yet why did he seem so much like a villain?
Previously, among those fighting with her, Wen Wen looked most like a rogue, and now this record just refreshed again!
Wen Wen looked around, spotted a small hill to the east of Withered Wood Forest, and immediately headed that way.
"The forest is too dangerous to enter recklessly; let’s move to a safer place to discuss further."
After a moment’s thought, Wu Liugen decided to lead the team to follow Wen Wen.
Wen Wen had saved them once, so he was fairly trustworthy, plus Wu Liugen had confidence in his own ability.
Moreover, they really needed to assess the situation before heading in; the one pulled into the forest by the voice was Chu Wei, and he wouldn’t be in immediate mortal danger. During their cooperation, he had clearly witnessed Chu Wei’s powerful Undying Force.
Upon arrival, Wen Wen first checked around for Blood Handprints before relaxing.
Wen Wen then used some prepared speech to reveal his identity and started to explain the situation in the Withered Wood Forest.
"In the Withered Wood Forest, there are extremely concealed Blood Handprints, which can unleash attacks at the True Order Level when someone gets too close..."
Midway through their conversation, when Wu Liugen realized Wen Wen had no means to communicate with the Hunters Association here, he handed Wen Wen a small earring.
This earring was a small gadget devised by the Hunters Association specifically for the Dim Domain environment.
It functioned like a walkie-talkie, designed for superpower communication, usable only by superpower users, enabling contact within the Dim Domain.
Once in hand, Wu Liugen fiddled with his earring, causing Wen Wen’s earring to light up.
To prevent the earring from being taken by the Undead, thus eavesdropping on the Demon Hunters’ information,
each small device had a fixed number and could only be used by one person at a time.
Without the earring owner’s activation, Wen Wen couldn’t use the device even if he had it.
