Chapter 730: Chapter 720 Dance and Fallen Angel

Wen Wen sensed Gu Daoqing’s concern and an interesting idea popped into his mind.

So he made the Fog Guide clear its throat and say, "Actually, there’s another reason I came here. Do you have video recording equipment? I’d like to say a few words to the upper echelons of the Hunter Association, and please pass the recording on to them."

After hearing this, Gu Daoqing finally relaxed a little. If this supremely powerful True Sequence individual had come to Xihong City for no apparent reason, he would have felt rather uneasy.

"Yes, we have it nearby, please wait a moment."

Gu Daoqing took out his Ranger Terminal, made a call, and within two minutes, a Demon Hunter came running over with a camera.

The commotion from the fight had been significant, so the Hunters Association had sent more than just Gu Daoqing, but only Gu Daoqing was qualified to join the battle, while the others waited on the periphery for the outcome.

This camera had been brought specifically to capture the scene.

After the camera was turned on, the Fog Guide stepped in front of it, showing a meaningful expression.

"Greetings to the big shots of the Hunter Association, I believe this is our first meeting."

"Last time in Nim City, I received your warm hospitality, and although I took a cellphone with me, it is still not enough to repay your kindness."

Then the expression of the Fog Guide turned fierce: "I will come back, and by then, you’d better not cry out of fright!"

After finishing these words, the Fog Guide, under Gu Daoqing’s stunned gaze, started to dance—it wasn’t just any dance.

Um...

He was performing a combined pole dance/strip dance.

Although there was no actual pole there, with the power of the True Sequence, it was as if there was an invisible pole standing vertically.

The Fog Guide moved gracefully, the dance was light and elegant, and he effortlessly executed various difficult moves that no dancer with less than ten years of experience could possibly manage...

He even did the splits from time to time!

After the dance ended, the Fog Guide put his clothes back on, gave a shy smile, soared into the sky, and disappeared into the night, leaving behind a bewildered Gu Daoqing.

Two minutes later, Wen Wen, ’awakening’ from being buried under the rubble, let out a cry for help.

It was only when he heard Wen Wen’s cry for help that the stunned Gu Daoqing snapped back to reality, personally dug the ’severely injured’ Wen Wen out from the ruins, while other Supporters and Demon Hunters started to assist nearby civilians.

As soon as Wen Wen emerged, Gu Daoqing purified him a bit, and his injuries seemed to ease, saving him from the constant need for someone to look after him.

Gu Daoqing, despite his serious injuries, began to direct the cleanup operation. The Demon Hunters took special containers and started collecting the minced-meat-like remains of the Skin Monster.

These ’minced meat’ pieces would be transported to two other secret bases for detainment, overseen by professional Demon Hunters, to ensure they wouldn’t suddenly regenerate and harm innocents.

Logically, the safest method to deal with these things would actually be to divide them into countless pieces and distribute them across the Capital District.

But the experience left behind by the previously annihilated Xihong City Hunters Association was invaluable.

It was discovered that the flesh of such strange creatures definitely shouldn’t be taken outside of Xihong City’s boundaries. If they leave the boundary, these parts would vanish into thin air and then randomly reappear in some corner of Xihong City.

So, all the Hunters Association could do was to disperse and contain them to the best of their ability within a limited area.

After watching for a while, Wen Wen secretly placed Zhao Xueling in a safe corner and went back to his residence to recuperate.

The aftermath was a bit disheartening for Wen Wen, so it was better to leave early.

The voice and appearance of the Skin Monster carried a strong contamination of superpower, affecting a considerable number of residents nearby.

Many citizens developed physical mutations, some experienced mental issues, and the more tragic ones directly lost their lives.

If Wen Wen weren’t a Ranger but an ordinary High Order Demon Hunter, then he would have the duty to command and assist in such situations.

But as a Ranger, he only needed to be responsible for combat, enjoying considerable freedom at other times.

However, with freedom came sacrifice; although Rangers were autonomous, they lost a lot of power within the Association.

Otherwise, with Wen Wen’s strength, he would probably already be a quasi-senior member of the Hunters Association of the Capital District by now, with access to far more resources than he could currently muster.

...

As soon as he returned to his residence, Wen Wen entered the Sanctuary to interrogate Mr. X whom he had captured.

These guys were able to reach Xihong City in time to capture those components, so they must know something about the ins and outs, and Mr. X’s abilities seemed quite interesting as well.

The interrogation was simple, tedious yet amusing; Mr. X was tormented to the point of crying for his father and mother, wetting and soiling himself multiple times before he finally caved.

In the Sanctuary, apart from tough nuts like Wu Wang, whether the others succumbed or not depended entirely on Wen Wen’s willingness to take action.

Eventually, Wen Wen learned two important pieces of information, one of which was the so-called "Power of the Fallen."

Xihong City had turned into its current state because of this power.

This power was greatly beneficial to those with Profane Blood, hence many with Profane Blood were hiding within the city.

Wen Wen really wanted to root them out all at once, but the situation did not permit him to do so.

The city was plagued with minor disasters, and as long as the people with Profane Blood did not court death, finding them would be very difficult; besides, the biggest threat at the moment was not Profane Blood.

"Power of the Fallen... Fallen!"

"I had previously speculated that the original form of the Skin Monster was an angel... Now it seems, it should be a Fallen Angel!"

"It has four sets of wings, it should also be of a high rank..."

Having reached this conclusion, Wen Wen felt somewhat relieved. Knowing what the target was allowed him to find ways to deal with it, which was better than being in the dark.

In addition, Wen Wen also obtained two containers capable of containing the "Power of the Fallen."

He planned to hand these over to Gu Daoqing; according to Mr. X, because they absorbed the Power of the Fallen, the onset of the disaster in Xihong City had been postponed.

Therefore, Wen Wen prepared to set up a large number of these containers throughout the city, which should lead to some improvement in the situation.

Besides, Wen Wen had another good find, which was Mr. X’s abilities.

His abilities mainly manifested as Suction Force and Repulsion Force, and were of Disaster Lower Order. Combined with the many abilities of Wen Wen’s own, they could also produce quite effective results.

After the interrogation, Wen Wen sifted through the books and documents he had stolen earlier from the church, looking for information on "Fallen Angels."

In the scriptures of the Church of Creational God, the angels that are explicitly recorded are not many, but those that are named should all be at least Catastrophe Level angels.

And angels like the Purifying Angel and the Angel of Universal Light often appear in rather trivial places.

For example, the Archangel Gibreel, who led a thousand angels to slay a Great Devil.

The Purifying Angel might be among those thousand...
