Chapter 728: Chapter 718: Fog Guide
The existence of the Filth Bomb resolved some of Wen Wen’s doubts about Gu Daoqing; if Gu only had the Power of Cleanliness, Menxia Province would not have let him stay in the dangerous Xihong City alone.
Wen Wen hesitated for a moment as he touched his backside and then asked Gu Daoqing, "I hope you don’t mind me asking, but is ’Gu Daoqing’ a codename or your real name?"
"Of course it’s my real name. Why do you ask?" Gu Daoqing countered.
Wen Wen shook his head and did not answer, thinking it was too impolite to say out loud; he might get beaten up for it.
After only a brief exchange between the two, the Skin Monster had already crawled out of its den, its body smeared with unspeakable filth, resembling a biological weapon.
Wen Wen looked at Gu Daoqing warily; he would rather be beaten half to death by an enemy than be hit by a Filth Bomb, making Gu Daoqing the last High Order Demon Hunter he wanted to face.
Confused, the Skin Monster touched its own skin, reaching out a hand only to touch a dung-yellow filth.
After pausing for a couple of seconds, the Skin Monster let out a piercing scream, its howl containing strong mental contamination, the sound penetrating through windows and walls into the surrounding homes, causing bizarre changes to occur.
Gu Daoqing’s Filth Bomb was indeed useful—at least it had enraged the Skin Monster after being hit.
The aura on the Skin Monster surged significantly; previously, the battle between it and Wen Wen might have been somewhat playful, but now it could very well kill at any moment.
With one filth-stained eye full of hatred, it locked onto Gu Daoqing and then leapt forward.
Wen Wen stepped in front of Gu Daoqing voluntarily, a pair of metallic wings extending from his back, ready to temporarily block the Skin Monster as a human shield.
Although Gu Daoqing’s attack was disgusting, since the Skin Monster was so provoked by it, the_filth_bomb_effect was definitely more than just revolting—it must have inflicted damage.
The Skin Monster’s punch hit the Wings of Steel, sending Wen Wen flying like a bouncing ball. Taking advantage of this opening, Gu Daoqing circled to the Skin Monster’s rear and fired two more Filth Bombs.
These bombs were smaller than the last but contained even more powerful energy, hitting directly into the Skin Monster’s body through a hole in its back.
After being attacked, the Skin Monster paused, its skin writhing as a woman’s body melted into a stream of bloody water.
Now empty, its ability to withstand attacks had increased!
Wen Wen keenly noticed the festering traces on its skin, which showed that the Filth Bomb’s attack was effective.
Odd as the creature was, its predecessor might have been an Angel, and such disgusting methods were particularly effective against Angels.
"If the Filth Bomb works, then the Blade of Contamination should be effective too."
Wen Wen sheathed the Blood River Sword and, holding the Blade of Contamination like a cleaver, charged at the Skin Monster once again.
The Skin Monster’s abilities were unusual and powerful, but it had yet to display any Cataclysmic Traits, so the pressure it exerted on Wen Wen was much less than that of a typical True-order Master.
Wen Wen and Gu Daoqing, working together, started their attack on the Skin Monster.
The Blade of Contamination and Filth Bomb danced chaotically, a scene too harrowing to watch.
Gu Daoqing’s combat style was interesting; he kept shifting his position in the streets, moving through areas previously hit by his Filth Bombs, reactivating his powers in each spot to cleanse the filth again.
The purified filth was stored for use as material for the Filth Bombs. As long as his cleansing power remained operative, he could continuously launch Filth Bombs, effectively attacking the Skin Monster.
Meanwhile, Wen Wen’s Blade of Contamination could slice through the Skin Monster’s skin, further amplifying the damage from the Filth Bombs.
After a while, numerous wounds appeared on the Skin Monster’s body, each exhibiting varying degrees of decay.
However, the Skin Monster’s attacks also took their toll on the pair; Gu Daoqing fared slightly better, but Wen Wen bore the brunt of most attacks, his back already beginning to bleed.
If this continued, they would be martyred before they could grind down the Skin Monster.
Wen Wen figured out the timing and knew that the time was almost up.
"It’s time for that guy to make his appearance."
Wen Wen sold a flaw and was struck in the chest by the Skin Monster, causing the Blade of Contamination to fly out of his hand and crash into a nearby basement, his breath weakened, making him look as though he had fainted.
Gu Daoqing’s expression changed. After Wen Wen left the battlefield, there was no one to take the damage for him, and he feared he wouldn’t last much longer.
"You... are finished." The Skin Monster revealed a horrifying expression.
Gu Daoqing fired a Filth Bomb, but the Skin Monster’s skin on its palm suddenly enlarged, directly knocking the Filth Bomb away.
The Skin Monster sneered, "The same moves... are useless against me."
Just then, a scream rang out, and a figure clad in a white robe fell from the sky; this person was indeed the Guide.
Both men turned to look at this newcomer, whose presence carried a strong aura. It was uncertain if this new arrival would change the course of the battle.
The Misty Monster, transformed into Bai Du, rose to its feet, clenching its skin fiercely as it glared at the two men.
"Who is the shameless one who ambushed me?"
The Skin Monster cocked its head, somewhat puzzled by the emergence of this new entity.
"You are not... human, I..."
"That’s right, it was him who ambushed you, and he even called you inhuman," Gu Daoqing cleverly pointed at the Skin Monster and said.
The Skin Monster objected, "No..."
"See, he admitted it!" Gu Daoqing interrupted the Skin Monster’s words.
Bang!
The Fog Guide punched the Skin Monster in the jaw, and the immense strength sent it flying into the sky.
Wen Wen, secretly manipulating from behind the scenes, surely wouldn’t let the Skin Monster deflect the blame completely.
Who asked you to be unclear.
Following that, the Fog Guide suddenly leapt high into the air and punched the ascending Skin Monster back to the ground.
The Misty Monster only used physical attacks, but it was a True Order Level physical attack. Even for this eerie Skin Monster, taking this attack resulted in serious injury.
The Skin Monster barely got up, looking quite pathetic, its body twisted from those two blows.
It glared fiercely at the Fog Guide, imprinting this image firmly into its small brain. Once it had fully recovered, it would certainly tear this assailant to pieces.
It had just spoken threateningly when it was hit in the face with several Filth Bombs.
Gu Daoqing certainly wouldn’t just sit back and watch the duel; taking the opportunity to hit back was his style.
The Skin Monster was now enraged to the extreme, letting out that strange noise again, wanting to eliminate Gu Daoqing first.
But Wen Wen wouldn’t give the Skin Monster the chance. The Fog Guide, with his robust physique, relentlessly pursued and battered the Skin Monster, preventing it from attacking Gu Daoqing.
Meanwhile, Gu Daoqing also cooperated by continually supporting the Fog Guide with Filth Bombs.
After two or three minutes, the Skin Monster had significantly weakened. Once it weakened a bit more, they could dismantle it and contain it in different places!
But things did not go as smoothly as Gu Daoqing had hoped. The Skin Monster’s remaining eye suddenly emitted a burst of purple light.
This sudden burst of light directly severed the Fog Guide and a large building behind him at the waist!
