Chapter 673: Chapter 663: Time Traveler

Seeing the passionate and excited Song Ling, Wen Wen felt slightly uneasy, "You weren’t like this before, as I recall you always looked like you were bearing some deep grudge, why does it feel like you’re high on chicken blood now?"

Song Ling chuckled and said, "My initial goal was to not be alone in this world anymore, and now that I’m no longer alone, of course I need to find some meaningful things to do."

After chatting a bit more, Wen Wen finally turned and left, returning to the dining table to continue devouring the food that had been left.

Qiao Feiya curiously asked Wen Wen, "What did you and Song Ling talk about earlier?"

"I won’t tell you just yet, but you’ll definitely be surprised when the time comes," Wen Wen said, which only made Qiao Feiya more curious.

After the meal, Wen Wen, with a slightly swollen belly, left the side room with Tao Qingqing. Tao Qingqing went to get food three more times, she had only planned to eat a little, but the food here was just too delicious...

Three Cubs noticed Wen Wen coming out and slithered over to his side, under its snake head was a plate, and it now looked like a cobra. A Cat People waiter came over and handed a bill to Wen Wen.

"What’s this about?"

"Mr. Wen, your pet ate the plate..." the Cat People waiter replied.

Wen Wen’s mouth twitched, not knowing what to say, while Tao Qingqing burst into laughter, nearly spitting out her food...

After paying for the plate, Wen Wen stroked the snake’s skin and said, "I might have been a bit harsh on you before, I need to reflect on that; otherwise, you wouldn’t have eaten a plate... But since you like eating plates, how about you have only plates as your food for the next five days?"

Three Cubs absently flicked its tongue and then stiffly slid to the ground, becoming stiff like a snake staff...

...

The next day at noon, a huge passenger plane landed. All the prepared Demon Hunters boarded one by one, led by True Order Demon Hunter Xun Qing.

The plane was filled with elite Demon Hunters from the Capital District. If anyone were to shoot it down...

Well, anyone who shoots it down would be very unlucky, as they would receive the tender love and care from the Demon Hunters.

Wen Wen sat next to Xun Qing with a big grin and handed him a bottle of hair growth tonic, "This is some good stuff, just a thin layer on your scalp, and you’ll grow thick hair."

After hearing this, Xun Qing carefully put away the hair growth tonic; although he didn’t need it now, he might in the future. Who can guarantee they won’t lose hair in middle age?

"No one offers gifts without a reason. You must want something from me," Xun Qing said.

Wen Wen rubbed his hands together and said, "Hehe, I want to get a plane."

"What do you need a plane for?" Xun Qing asked, puzzled.

"I often travel all around the district; driving is too cumbersome. It’s definitely cooler to fly by myself, especially since I have a pilot." Wrapped around Wen Wen’s arm, Three Cubs sensed an ominous feeling; that pilot couldn’t possibly be itself.

"If you really want one, I can get it for you. I can’t sell you a fighter jet, but I can get you a military transport plane or a helicopter, although those are just ordinary models."

"If you’re looking for something better, I’d recommend you check out the upcoming exchange meeting. You’re likely to find a better choice there. The US and Canada District always makes the meeting look like an arms deal."

"I might as well go for that; now that I have the money, a means of transport might as well get better and better... Speaking of which, this will be my first time interacting with Demon Hunters from other districts."

Xun Qing nodded and said, "The conditions in each district are different. The Hunters Association in the US and Canada District, although nominally belonging to the Hunters Association, has actually become a separate organization. You’ll understand once you’ve had dealings with them."

...

In the City of Mist, Nim, a portly police officer wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, still somewhat in shock.

At the time, he was outside a small bar that had been sealed off, answering questions. He had been patrolling nearby when he heard cries for help and rushed to the scene, only to witness a horrifying sight.

Inside the bar, time seemed to have stopped, with only an indescribable monster able to move slowly within.

Whenever it approached a person, it would insert its straw-like mouthpiece into the person’s body, and then the person would seem to age through their entire life span in an instant, turning into dry bones.

The portly officer stood at the doorway, witnessing this entire horrifying process until the creature had drained the time from everyone and finally glanced at the portly officer, then vanished into the air in a strange manner.

Inside the bar, a man and a woman both dressed in black suits, superpower users, were gathering information. They were Demon Hunters from Nim City, and in the Golden Eagle District, Demon Hunters are known for this attire.

After receiving the news, they quickly rushed to the scene, but no matter how much they investigated, they could not understand how these people had died. The traces on the bodies showed they all died of natural aging, which itself was abnormal.

Could the monster described by the portly officer really have stolen other people’s time?

Now, the only plausible explanation was that an Illusion Technique superpower user intentionally staged the whole drama, and the people in the bar had been dealt with by the superpower user beforehand, but this did not explain the superpower user’s motive.

For them, it was destined to be a busy day.

...

Three hundred meters from the bar, a man in a taupe coat stood on the rooftop, gazing anxiously in that direction.

If he could not find a solution soon, he would end up like the others in the bar, with all his time taken by the terrifying Hound.

But he truly did not know how to solve this issue; once that terrifying creature known as the Hound set its sights on someone, it would never give up, relentlessly pursuing its quarry to the ends of the earth.

Most importantly, those creatures were invincible, and all he could do was delay the inevitable.

"Interesting, interesting..."

A gentle voice came from behind the man in the coat, causing a cold sweat to break out on his back, and he turned to see a figure in a white robe standing curiously behind him.

"Who are you?" the man asked warily.

The Guide looked at him as if he were a rare and exotic beast, "You can call me the Guide. I had never expected to actually meet a Time Traveler in person. By your looks, it seems you haven’t obeyed the rules of time traveling, hence the Hound is after you."

The man’s face paled instantly: "How do you know I am a Time Traveler, and how do you know the rules of time travel?"

The Guide smiled and said, "In a sense, you can think of me as a deity; thus, I know many things you don’t, including how to evade the pursuit of the Hound. Would you like to make a deal with me?"

"What deal?" the man asked, his voice trembling, grasping at straws.

The corners of the Guide’s mouth turned up as he said, "I want you to help me kill someone."
