Chapter 607: Chapter 596: Like a Madman

Aside from the enemy Sanctuary from a thousand years ago, the tiger-like tribes were also the main targets of the Death Knight’s operation, and they wouldn’t provoke Eightfold as long as Eightfold didn’t provoke them first.

Their True Order wasn’t limited to Xiuluman and Death Knight only; their strength wasn’t as dispersed as that of Profane Blood. Most of their power lay dormant within the Capital District.

Even if the Capital District Hunters Branch wanted to eliminate them, they were unfazed, but still, the Death Knight didn’t want too much friction with the Hunters Association.

Once they angered the Hunters Association, drawing out a Catastrophe Level or an encirclement by the Federal Hunters Headquarters, even they would suffer substantial losses.

Seeing that the Death Knight took the initiative, Eightfold thought for a moment, then joined the Death Knight in attacking Mother Yu Changhu and Jin Dahuo.

While strangers like Death Knight and Xiuluman in True Order were also threatening, they were far less of a threat to humanity than the tiger-like races, which expand their tribes through contamination. The priorities were clear.

Since the masters of the True Order Realm had started fighting, their subordinates couldn’t just stand by and watch, so they too began battling.

To the tiger-like tribes, both factions were enemies, but the Hunters Association had already struck fear into them. On the fugitives’ side, there were only two monsters, so they intended to crush these two easier targets first, before dealing with the Demon Hunters.

One of the fugitives was a smaller wild beast, hairless and white as jade, and the other was a heavily armored, humanoid crocodile. It didn’t take long for the tiger-like groups to discover these two were not easy to handle.

The white beast had such a slippery body that attacks aimed at it would twist on impact, veering off to strike other tiger-like creatures.

And the humanoid crocodile was ferociously violent, unafraid of any attack. Whatever it encountered, it would charge violently and then shred it to pieces.

Both monsters were at the level of Disaster Upper Order, and they weren’t just ordinary Disaster Upper Order, but at least on the same level as Qiao Feiya from before.

As the melee began, Wen Wen quietly recalled the monsters he had previously deployed, considering they had played enough for a long time.

The scene of the battle was chaotic, so Wen Wen no longer let his monsters add to the chaos.

He then joined the melee. His strength had partly recovered during the previous enhancement with Dark Matter, enough so that he wasn’t powerless to fight.

But as the battle waged, Wen Wen started to notice something was off.

Not all the True-order Masters had joined in the battle. Xiuluman’s disgusting body still floated in the air, and countless eyes inside bubbles were all focused on Wen Wen.

Obviously, Wen Wen was still Xiuluman’s target!

"Damn it, this guy is too persistent,"

Seeing Xiuluman coming to attack him, Wen Wen clenched his teeth and rushed out of the crowd. Xiuluman could repair himself with corpses, and ordinary attacks were useless against him, so fighting him in the crowd would only result in more victims.

Then Wen Wen took out a Buddha Gatling, aimed it at Xiuluman, and fiercely unloaded all the bullets, then tried various weapons, all of which were ineffective against Xiuluman.

Seeing Xiuluman not participating in the battle of the True Order Realm but instead breaking away to attack a Demon Hunter, Eightfold threw a punch wanting to pull him into the fray.

But the Death Knight swung his spear, directly blocking the punch. Two tigers also took the opportunity to fiercely attack Eightfold, preventing him from lifting a finger to rescue Wen Wen.

Qiao Feiya wanted to use the Sword Qi Burst Stream on Xiuluman again, but as she lifted her sword, she felt unbearable pain in her body; she could not perform the third sword.

Other Demon Hunters also wanted to aid Wen Wen, but he stopped them. He knew very well that unless a superpower user with suitable abilities or sufficient strength came to help, more people against the monster would be futile. Any slight mistake, and they would be killed by Xiuluman.

Wen Wen was chased by Xiuluman, running desperately, but after a while, his eyes shone fiercely.

Everyone has a temper, not to mention Wen Wen who had been trying his best to restrain himself. This creature had been chasing him relentlessly, and even now, as a big battle raged elsewhere, it was still after him.

"After all, you damn are the fugitive, and I am the boss of this prison. Why should I keep running from you!"

Armed with sharp barbed Black Chains sprouting from his hands, any Supernatural Weapon or Containment Item would be contaminated by this creature, but not these chains.

If he could shake this creature off, Wen Wen certainly wouldn’t let his chains be exposed, but now Xiuluman was clinging to him like a persistent plaster, forcing Wen Wen to fight it out with this True Order Rank creature using these chains!

"Even if you treat me like a jelly bean, I’m going to knock one of your teeth out!"

If all else failed, he’d escape back to the Sanctuary at the brink of death. Cowering was absolutely not an option!

Seeing Wen Wen, whom he had been chasing, charging at him fiercely, Xiuluman was momentarily stunned because attacking him head-on was akin to suicide with its ability.

However, constrained by the Death Knight’s command not to kill Wen Wen, Xiuluman found itself handicapped under Wen Wen’s rabid fighting style.

The two fought for a while longer, and Wen Wen had hit Xiuluman several times with his chains, which genuinely could hurt it, forcing it to split its body to dodge his attacks.

Fueled by his ferocity, Wen Wen grew more vigorous in the fight, entering a frantic state of frenzy.

Fighting Xiuluman was incredibly stressful because it could withstand countless of his attacks, while a single hit from it could end his ability to fight.

Yet in this extreme state, Wen Wen felt his combat ability was vastly superior than before, with a variety of moves flowing smoothly, putting Xiuluman in a fluster.

Although Xiuluman was not essentially harmed, it appeared as though Wen Wen had the upper hand and the other Demon Hunters occasionally catching sight of him were utterly shocked.

If Wen Wen could survive this ordeal, he might just become a topic of conversation for the Demon Hunters during their leisure time.

Qiao Feiya played with her hair, a gentle smile forming on her lips.

She had once expressed a desire to spar with Wen Wen, but after fighting alongside him, that desire faded significantly as his ability to escape impressed her but didn’t arouse her desire to battle.

But now, this frenzied Wen Wen had caught her attention; she wanted to have a proper spar with him.

Wen Wen and Xiuluman had been fighting fiercely for more than ten minutes. Even though Wen Wen entered a state similar to a Seed Explosion, the gap between him and a True Order Realm monster was still enormous. Eventually, he was running out of strength and was about to give in.

"I am too weak to continue fighting. It seems my only option is to retreat to the Sanctuary... but there are too many people here; fleeing in front of this crowd would shame me."

Many people were watching the battle between Wen Wen and Xiuluman, meaning Wen Wen would have to escape in full view of everyone.

Just then, a familiar voice reached Wen Wen’s ears, making him abandon the thought of retreating to the Sanctuary.

"You’ve done well enough already. I’ll take it from here."
