Chapter 570: Chapter 569: The Silver Little Hand

Wen Wen advised with patience and sincerity, "You probably already know, once you’re locked in here, there’s no possibility of getting out. Whether you’re willing or not, you’ll end up working for me, so why not be reasonable and spare yourself some suffering?"

Red Beard snorted coldly and said, "I’m not one of those weaklings living next door. Even if you kill me, I will not work for you."

Wen Wen was quite dismissive; every monster started off just as defiant, but in the end, they all succumbed.

Had it not been for Red Beard’s talents, Wen Wen would have tortured him long ago. There’s nothing that Detective Wen couldn’t do, and if pushed too far, Wen Wen was capable of switching his meals to excrement.

"Name your terms then. If I can accept them, I will satisfy you. If I cannot, you will taste what pain is," Wen Wen proposed.

After pondering for a while, Red Beard said, "I want my blacksmith tools, I need ample time for forging every day, and you must provide me with the materials I need..."

"What?"

Wen Wen’s eyes widened as he looked at Red Beard. Was this guy’s brain damaged by his own Sword Qi? Were these supposed to be terms?

"If you can’t satisfy these, then just kill me," Red Beard closed his eyes and lay down on the ground like a corpse.

From his conversations with the nearby monsters, Red Beard knew that Wen Wen issued work assignments to the monsters every day and sometimes sent them out to fight; other than that, they all idled away in their cells.

Red Beard didn’t care much about losing his freedom, but blacksmithing was his life; without it, he might as well be dead.

Wen Wen’s eyes shifted as he grasped the situation and then feigned generosity, "Such terms are truly... Never mind, I’ll just consider it an act of great mercy on my part."

After they reached an agreement, Wen Wen transformed Red Beard’s cell into a blacksmith workshop and returned all the tools that had been confiscated from him.

"From now on, your task is to forge Superpower Items for the Sanctuary," said Wen Wen.

"If you don’t comply, I’ll make you attend Monster Study, and the daily assignments will be super doubled!"

Red Beard nodded again and again, fearing that Wen Wen might change his mind.

Wen Wen then procured two chests of materials from the Sanctuary shop, placed them in front of Red Beard, and told him, "For now, just use these items to practice with; if you run out, someone will bring you new ones."

As Red Beard opened the chests, he touched the materials somewhat entranced.

He may have controlled an ironworks before, but the materials he could get were very limited and couldn’t compare to an organization such as the Sanctuary. If the Sanctuary kept providing him with materials, living here could actually be quite good.

After fondling the materials for a while, Red Beard looked at Wen Wen with confusion and asked, "These materials are quite good this time, but why are they all round?"

All the materials laid out before Red Beard, whether they were metals, stones, or even monstrous materials, were all spheres of various sizes.

Wen Wen touched his nose and said, "This is a special process of the Sanctuary."

These spheres were actually all made by that old man with the spinning contraption. If he didn’t spin something for too long, he would enter a frenzy, so Wen Wen made sure someone sent a load of materials for the old man to spin every few days.

Materials spun by that old man not only looked more pleasing but also experienced much slower natural degradation.

Additionally, items like crystals that didn’t require further processing could be turned directly into crystal balls, saving a great deal of waste and labor...

Although all the materials were spherical and looked somewhat odd, Red Beard readily accepted them and immediately got to work.

Seeing him immersed in his work, Wen Wen left contentedly.

After Wen Wen left, Red Beard stopped his hammer and sighed deeply.

He wasn’t really a fool, how could he possibly enjoy helping Wen Wen with his work.

But after he understood the nature of the Sanctuary, he realized that it was only by doing so that he could do what he wanted to do within the Sanctuary.

After leaving Red Beard, Wen Wen suddenly heard an alluring moan.

Looking towards the source of the noise, he found Hu Youling, who had finally awakened from her slumber, lying in a cell in the Disaster Area.

The enormous white fox stood up, a burst of white Qi emanating from her body, wrapping around her. When the white fog dissipated, the cell was left with only an exceedingly beautiful woman in a white dress.

She wore a bright smile on her face, her five fluffy white tails playfully swishing behind her, and with slender delicate hands, she lightly brushed her hair, giving off the impression of a delicate fairy from poems, one that could be admired from a distance but never treated frivolously.

But she only remained beautiful for a few seconds. Upon seeing Wen Wen, she immediately approached the bars and beckoned to Wen Wen, saying,

"Sir, would you like to come and play?"

Wen Wen was not at all surprised; this was the true nature of this vixen.

He obediently walked over. Although he wouldn’t be seduced by Hu Youling, if Hu Youling was offering a treat, there was no loss in taking a look.

As Wen Wen approached, Hu Youling’s cheeks flushed with a hint of red, and she lifted the hem of her dress, Wen Wen’s gaze naturally followed her hands upwards.

But as it floated upwards, Wen Wen suddenly couldn’t see anything.

Two small silver hands covered his eyes, preventing him from seeing what exactly was happening to Hu Youling.

Wen Wen forcefully brushed away the two small hands, only to find that Hu Youling’s dress had been lowered by the silver hands, and he saw nothing...

"Where did these hands come from, what on earth is going on?"

Wen Wen’s eyes reddened with frustration, almost feeling the urge to lash out. It was good that Hu Youling had awakened, but not being able to see anything was bad news.

Next, Wen Wen conducted some tests and discovered that the culprit was the mark of the silver crescent on his hand.

This mark seemed to have its own consciousness and usually did not interfere with Wen Wen’s actions. However, whenever a woman tried to seduce Wen Wen by various means, it would employ numerous methods to stop it.

That alone would have been acceptable; after all, Wen Wen wasn’t exactly a ladies’ man.

But even when Wen Wen tried to watch some special comics or small films, this little hand would come out to mess with him.

Whereas ordinary people could seek out versions without the ’Holy Light’ or ’Dark Pastor,’ Wen Wen’s Holy Light and Dark Pastor were imprinted on his body!

For a man, this was incredibly sad.

"This is outrageous, if you exist, I don’t; if I exist, you don’t!"

Wen Wen was so exasperated by this small hand that he almost went mad and directly activated his Dark Matter state, wanting to forcefully expel the little hand from his body.

Although the Sanctuary seemed to have a mysterious connection with the crescent, it wasn’t easy for Wen Wen to expel it. But, as Wen Wen was in charge of the Sanctuary, he could forcibly evict it at some cost.

Upon sensing Wen Wen’s resolve, the silver crescent emitted a sorrowful mood, as if it was on the verge of tears.

For some reason, Wen Wen softened at heart, and in the end, he made a contract with the silver crescent.

The little hand would only block those with ill intentions from now on and would not interfere with Wen Wen’s normal life, and thus, the matter was finally resolved...
