Chapter 503: Chapter 501 Moon Goddess
Iyeta shouted at Wen Wen, "Stop, you disrespectful brute, ahead lies the land where deities descend. Take one more step, and you will have no grave to be buried in."
Then Wen Wen stepped forward, cocking his head and looking at Iyeta.
As if to say, I’m moving forward, what can you do?
Iyeta clenched her teeth, unsure of how to stop Wen Wen as his appearance was entirely unexpected.
"Since you can’t do anything, then I apologize for what comes next."
Wen Wen continued moving forward, and when he was about ten meters away, he sensed a formidable barrier ahead. He pulled out a claw of the Siege Lion and gently pressed it against the barrier.
The beast’s claw, which could withstand a direct hit from Wen Wen, began to silently disintegrate upon contacting the barrier, making no sound.
"Indeed terrifying, but it should be possible!"
Afterward, Wen Wen manifested the Catastrophe Gloves and pressed them directly against the barrier, slowly pushing forward with his right hand.
Even with the Catastrophe Gloves, it wasn’t easy for Wen Wen to reach the core. His pace was even slower than a turtle’s, and the clash between the barrier and the gloves obliterated everything on either side of Wen Wen.
Seeing that Wen Wen wasn’t being thwarted by the barrier but was inching forward, Iyeta almost dropped her jaw in astonishment.
"Don’t you come any closer!"
"If you come any closer you’ll, you’ll... be sterile and your neighbor Mr. Wang will have a house full of kids!"
"Vicious woman, but I don’t even have a girlfriend, what do I have to fear," Wen Wen shook his head, ignoring her, and continued moving forward.
In the process, the Catastrophe Gloves also absorbed a significant amount of energy, unlocking new features in the Sanctuary, but Wen Wen didn’t get distracted to check them, focusing instead on what was in front of him.
"You pile of filth from a biogas pool, Liang*Fan’s dinner, a malformed product with just ten pounds of body weight after losing its face, if you move forward..."
Driven to her limits by Wen Wen, Iyeta kept spewing insults, causing veins to pop on Wen Wen’s forehead.
A word or two was bearable, but a relentless assault of filthy language, even a pervert like Wen Wen found hard to endure, so he glared at Iyeta and roared:
"Shut up, I am determined to stop this summoning ritual. No one can save it, I am telling you!"
After finishing, a furious Wen Wen, with red eyes, moved forward even faster than before.
Seeing Wen Wen picking up speed, tears welled up in Iyeta’s eyes, and she wept while pleading, "Our Heart of Nature just wants to have a backbone to escape our fate like rats crossing the street, and at least let us not be driven from pillar to post."
"The deity we’re summoning isn’t one of those twisted monsters, and it could even help your Hunters Association drive away other monsters."
"Please have mercy, spare us poor ones... All you desire, we can provide, I can sign a pact with you, I will never renege on it."
However, whether it was appealing to his emotions and logic, or the vicious curses and threats, Wen Wen remained unmoved and finally still reached beyond the altar, placing his hand on it.
The moment Wen Wen placed his hand on the altar, an energy sphere, as large as the full moon, trembled violently. The combined strength of the opposing Catastrophe Level Creature and the Qiling Pearl continuously surged into the Catastrophe Gloves.
Iyeta, unable to spare any energy to persuade Wen Wen, could only do her best to maintain the summoning ritual, hoping to let the deity descend before Wen Wen completely destroyed the altar.
...
In the Inner World, within a desolate void, floated a continent so vast it was hard to believe.
Several scorching spheres of light orbited this continent constantly, acting as its source of illumination.
These spheres of light were all stars the size of the sun in the real world!
On the other side of the continent, there lay several dim planets of various colors, serving as this continent’s moons.
This continent was the main continent of the Inner World, and beyond it in the endless void, there were hundreds of planets suitable for sustaining normal life, home to many different civilizations.
If one day the real world were to be swallowed by the Inner World, it would ultimately become one of these planets.
On one of the cold, white moons, there was a magnificent palace complex with a beautiful gold and silver crescent moon floating above it.
Seated on the crescent moon was a barefoot woman in luxurious clothing.
She was one of the most powerful underlings of Heaven’s Dominator, the Moon Goddess!
The Moon Goddess, propping her chin with her hand, idly manipulated the moonlight into various novel shapes out of boredom.
The Inner World was vast, so vast that it surpassed the cognitive abilities of normal life.
This place was bizarre and wondrous, where anything could happen.
All the physical rules of the real world could be valid here or not. Even her domain, this Moon Star, was boundlessly vast, filled with countless mysteries.
But vast did not mean interesting. Over her long life, the Moon Goddess gradually found the Inner World boring and wanted to visit a place she had never seen before.
A silver-white rabbit lay on the Moon Goddess’s lap and spoke in human language, "Goddess of the Moon, I heard from the old dog next door that a new world has been attracted to the main continent. You could go there for a visit."
"That world is not large, but it has billions of humans who have developed a unique civilization. You could go there for amusement."
"I heard that those humans even call themselves ’real’ and us ’fictional’..."
The Moon Goddess shook her head and said, "The outside of that world is protected by an unreasonably tough barrier. Only luck-favored low-level creatures can enter. I need an opportunity and ... to pay a price to get in."
Just then, a look of surprise appeared on the face of the Moon Goddess, and with a flick of her finger, a bizarre vortex appeared before her.
"A lower creature is using the Core of the Catastrophic Creature as a sacrifice to summon me. The opportunity ... has come!"
The eyes of the Moon Goddess shone with an unusual luster. Visiting new places was her greatest pleasure.
However, she wielded immense authority in the Inner World and naturally could not abandon her responsibilities like other Catastrophic Creatures and rush off to the Inner World heedlessly.
So she removed a crescent-shaped hairpin, and as the chilly moonlight cascaded onto it, the hairpin transformed into a woman identical to her.
This woman also possessed Catastrophe-Level strength!
After creating this doppelgänger, the Moon Goddess’s aura slightly weakened, but only slightly.
She pointed to the vortex and said, "Go to the new world, experience everything you can for me..."
The doppelgänger then threw herself into the vortex without hesitation.
But shortly after the doppelgänger entered, the forehead of the Moon Goddess furrowed.
"The power of the summoning ritual is being drained, and there seems to be a familiar Qi on the other side... quite annoying, but very familiar. Why can’t I remember it!"
