Catastrophe Containment Facility -
Chapter 213 - 211 Demon’s Gathering
Chapter 213: Chapter 211 Demon’s Gathering
Zheng Feng was a superpower user, but he was still imprisoned in the Catastrophe Area’s cell.
His subsequent behavior made him indistinguishable from a monster.
Watching Zheng Feng squirm inside the cell and finally take shape, Wen Wen felt slightly nauseous.
The current Zheng Feng could no longer recover his consciousness, he was just a lump of flesh with a human shape.
Through Zheng Feng’s ordeal, Wen Wen deeply understood the necessity of the Hunters Association.
If the majority of superpower users, upon first awakening, did not have the guidance of the Hunters Association, they would be extremely likely to wander into the Gray Mist Layer and trigger a series of unfavorable events.
In that case, who knows what this world would have become.
Zheng Feng could be described as a pathetic superpower user, but Wen Wen didn’t sympathize with him. Although a demon instigated him, he himself was the one who toyed with life.
Every superpower user who commits evil might have a tragic past, but once they lose control, they are no longer deserving of sympathy.
If one day Wen Wen lost control and wantonly slaughtered the innocent, then he too would not deserve sympathy.
No matter the excuse, wrong is wrong.
However, Wen Wen didn’t bring Zheng Feng here to use his physique.
The Curly-haired Baboon’s physiology was enough to turn Wen Wen mentally challenged, he feared that using Zheng Feng’s physique would leave him brain-dead on the spot.
He didn’t want to have an encounter with a human centipede of his own model someday; that might make Wen Wen consider suicide.
The purpose of bringing Zheng Feng to the cell was to use the connection between their bodies to find that Shadow Demon!
Among all the monsters of the Inner World, the Demon Race was among the first to step into the real world.
They left their own marks in the human world with their cunning nature and became one of the more infamous types of monsters.
Most Demon Race monsters don’t have a physical body, and to walk in the human world, they need a human body, and the Shadow Demon chose Zheng Feng’s body.
Now, the Shadow Demon, no longer restrained by Zheng Feng, could be said to have regained his freedom.
But after all, he was still using Zheng Feng’s body, and there must be some kind of connection between them.
Wen Wen intended to use this connection, along with the power of the Catastrophe Prison Warden, to completely kill that Shadow Demon!
The Shadow Demon saw Wen Wen using Wings of Steel, also saw the containment chains and knew about Wen Wen’s multiple abilities.
Even though he might not use what he saw to his advantage, Wen Wen could not let him be.
Wen Wen wanted to kill the demon before he could react.
...
Outside of Furong River City, there was an estate filled with birdsong and floral fragrances.
This estate was under the name of the wealthy Zhang Kewei, who occasionally lived here when he was younger but now mostly resided in a sanatorium.
The Shadow Demon, who had resumed Zheng Feng’s appearance, Baliel, strolled up to the entrance of the estate and emitted a trace of his own aura.
Moments later, the estate’s gates were opened, and a servant led him into the estate.
Inside the estate’s main hall, several people in white suits were either playing billiards or drinking, appearing very relaxed and comfortable.
"Baliel, you should have come earlier, why only now?"
A slender woman, swaying her body, walked up to Baliel’s side and handed him a pure white suit.
"Heh heh, there was a little mishap," Baliel chuckled, not avoiding the others, and started changing his clothes right there.
The woman leaned close to Baliel, tapping her finger on his back and whispered seductively into his ear, "There was an accident; why didn’t you seek my help?"
Baliel pushed the woman away and said, "Seek your help? I’d like to live a little longer."
The woman’s eyes turned pitch black as she glared at Baliel, "Baliel, what do you mean?"
"Fight, let them fight."
A child in a white suit, sitting on a table, clapped his hands and said to the two of them.
"Silence."
Sitting at the edge of the hall was a man whose face could not be seen, with a damaged mouse placed in front of him. Those two words came from him.
Although his voice wasn’t loud, all those in white suits who heard it instantly fell silent.
Inside this hall, all those in white suits were demons.
And that man, he was of the highest rank among these demons, none other than the Faceless Klui.
Baliel bowed and said, "Lord Klui, you have summoned us to this world, but what exactly is it for?"
"Your mission is to guide the lost humans, fulfill their wishes, form contracts with them, and after death their souls will belong to our master."
"The souls of mortals..." Baliel frowned and questioned, "To His Majesty, the souls of weak humans should be meaningless, right? Moreover, wouldn’t it be better to collect souls through slaughter?"
"You do not have the right to question His Majesty," Klui glanced at Baliel, causing Baliel to shiver and dare not speak further.
"That is His Majesty’s command, just complete it and do not inquire further."
Suddenly, Klui’s expression changed drastically.
He sensed that something was coming, similar to what had happened on the rooftop of the Kewei Building.
However, what had come to the rooftop of the Kewei Building was merely a presence, but this time it might not be just a presence.
"Run!" He only managed to utter a single word before he started to dash out recklessly.
The other demons also made decisive moves, instantly starting to flee.
Baliel tried to escape as well, but he suddenly realized he could not move.
Then, a black radiance burst forth from his body, swallowing everything around him; two demons who couldn’t dodge in time were directly consumed by the black light, their bodies disintegrated into particles, death beyond death.
A massive black cross materialized above the mansion, exuding a terrifying pressure.
Both the black cross and that pressure could only be perceived by superpower users; ordinary people, unable to directly come into contact with that energy, could not detect it at all.
"Damn it! Who are you? We have already made way, why do you still attack us?" Klui, with his eyes bright red, looked up at the sky and roared angrily.
Last time, they were hiding on the top floor of the Kewei Building when a Catastrophe Level presence suddenly arrived, so they had to shamefully flee from the Kewei Building and stopped their activities for a while.
Now that they had run to this nearly rural estate, they were still being attacked.
Clearly, that unknown entity was targeting them.
"Even if you are a strong being like an Abyssal Lord, you cannot humiliate us like this, at the very least you should inform us where we offended you," Klui growled for a long time but received no response.
With a somber face, he said to the other demons, "We’re leaving, we can’t stay in this city any longer, if this continues, we might all end up dying here."
"But, Lord Klui, there are still deals that have not been..."
"Abandon those deals!"
