Chapter 2016: Chapter 607: Meeting Elder Clinton Again
"I’ll go rest first. You all take your time soaking..."
"Ah... Aunt Jones, won’t you stay a while longer?"
"..."
Ultimately, Sophia Jones succumbed to the increasingly bewildering and ambiguous atmosphere, rising from the bath with a splash.
Glittering droplets trickled down her body, extending from her back to her hips, tracing a perfect curve.
Sophia flicked her damp hair aside and glanced at Seven Brown, who had called her, with a faint, helpless smile at the corners of her mouth.
She lazily replied, "No, thanks. I have a lot of official duties to handle tomorrow."
Leonard Churchill and the other two watched as she stepped out of the bath with her long, sleek legs.
Her bare feet pressed against the floor as her tempting silhouette swayed, leaving behind a seductive view for the three of them.
Sophia left, and the slightly constrained atmosphere of the bathroom dissipated immediately.
Seven Brown also rose, unabashedly flaunting her bouncing curves as she boldly sat on Leonard’s lap, playfully saying, "Leonard, scrub my back~"
Long time no see, Miss Rita clearly made no attempt to hide her longing.
There’s no better way of expressing it than through intimate contact.
Leonard certainly didn’t hold back, reaching out to knead her delicate shoulders, then let his hands wander.
Seven turned her head to respond passionately.
The moisture between their lips was sweet.
Beside them, Catherine Carter observed the scene full of springtime allure, smiling silently.
These joyful moments were frequent when the three were together, so much so that they were accustomed to it.
But soon after, she sensed that unruly hand reaching over.
Catherine wasn’t bothered by this fellow’s greediness, rather, she teased, "You rascal, as soon as Sister Quinn leaves, you show your true colors..."
"..."
Though Sophia wasn’t an outsider, Catherine, after all, was still the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, and a reserved and proud Miss Lionheart.
Being too brazen as a guest would appear rather uncouth.
She played around with Leonard and Seven for a while, then chatted briefly with Sophia before retiring to the guest room.
She also thoughtfully arranged for Leonard not to worry about her that evening.
In Catherine’s words, having lost the card game earlier, she had to take responsibility for her loss.
The two remaining didn’t linger much longer.
Leonard’s clothes and bathrobes were always available in the apartment; he dressed in the robe Sophia had prepared and went into the master bedroom.
At the desk in the master bedroom, Sophia, dressed in a cool silk nightgown, was still browsing through some documents.
The orange light was bright yet soft.
Sophia glanced up when Leonard entered, smiling gently: "Why not chat a bit more with Rita and them?"
The teasing in her beautiful eyes made it clear she meant more than just chatting.
Leonard shrugged with a joking tone: "I was bet and lost to you."
"Hahaha... Is that so?"
Hearing that, Sophia smiled brightly.
Clearly, she found it quite amusing.
As she spoke, she continued to look down at the sheepskin scroll.
Leonard walked over, moved behind her chair, and began massaging her shoulders, asking, "What are you reading?"
When alone, they often helped each other relax their muscles.
Sophia straightened her body so Leonard could work more easily.
She also enjoyed the relaxation of her shoulders, responding, "Just handling some war reports from the front lines that need sending out tomorrow morning."
"Oh."
Leonard glanced at the intelligence on the desk.
With just a glance, all the information was processed in his mind.
Nothing unexpected, so he didn’t dwell on it.
He stayed silent, continuing to massage, gently channeling Curse Power through Sophia’s meridians.
Sophia sensed something special, surprised: "Huh, this is...?"
Leonard explained briefly: "It’s some insights I gained from Emperor Lanlingster... able to guide one to comprehend Divine Fire from a spiritual level..."
"Ah???"
Sophia didn’t quite understand.
Yet she clearly felt the sensation of her soul seeming to transcend her body.
Leonard found it difficult to explain; it’s an experience that can only be felt, not put into words.
Thinking of something, he suggested, "Why don’t we use the Charming Demon Secret Technique to see if it becomes clearer?"
"???"
Knowing his intention, Sophia glanced at him charmingly.
Before she could say anything, the hands on her shoulders slid downward, boldly exploring inside her nightgown.
"You rascal..."
Sophia murmured quietly,
but didn’t pay any mind to him enjoying himself, as her gaze returned to the war report files.
The atmosphere around the desk grew more flirtatious, finding the hands kneading at her chest somewhat inconvenient for browsing, Sophia grumbled, "Hey, wait a moment... just a few more, I’ll be finished soon."
Leonard casually remarked, "No need to look. Those reports are about the refugee resettlement plan, just approve them ’approved.’
"..."
Hearing this, Sophia’s beautiful eyes were full of helplessness.
But she stopped.
She knew Leonard must have read them.
No rush, they could be viewed later.
So she marked ’approved’ on them.
Seeing the work done, Leonard raised his brow in suggestion: "Let’s go to sleep?"
Sophia’s beautiful eyes shifted playfully as she gave him a scolding look: "Alright."
She pulled up the straps that had already slipped, hiding the ample view at her chest.
