Catastrophe Card King
Chapter 1327 - Chapter 1327 Chapter 407 Many Void Materials

Chapter 1327: Chapter 407 Many Void Materials Chapter 1327: Chapter 407 Many Void Materials Leonard Churchill looked at the Enlightenment hint, noting the difficulty of the plot has risen to A-level, his expression revealing a hint of amusement.

It seemed now that the high command of the Thunder Hammer Mercenary Corps was here precisely for this level of difficulty.

Although Leonard Churchill and Elder Clinton hadn’t followed the main force, their current position was also deep within the insect nest.

In his perception, faint yet dense fluctuations of air suddenly appeared in the depths of the surrounding caverns.

And in the depths of the cave, the already intense sound of gunfire suddenly became even more fierce.

“The main force has engaged the main insect forces, huh…”

Leonard Churchill murmured to himself.

This was undoubtedly part of the Thunder Group’s high command’s plan, using the main force to attract firepower. Presumably, another squad must have set out to complete the A-tier mission.

Both he and Elder Clinton had insect gland secretions smeared on them, so there was no immediate danger.

However, because they had separated from the team, Leonard Churchill’s points were still far from sufficient to leave the Alternate Dimension.

With this in mind, Leonard Churchill asked, “Senior, what are your plans now? This space is related to the Outer God ‘Mysterious Insect Mother Karakta,’ and I plan to check out that mother insect.”

Elder Clinton pursed his lips, mumbling with little confidence, “I was brought here… I’ll be satisfied if I can just get out alive.”

His fear of death definitely meant he was reluctant to take risks, but he seemed to hesitate upon hearing the latter half of Leonard’s proposal.

Leonard was well aware of the old man’s nature, fearing death as he did, but the underlying cause and effect were also undeniable.

He smiled noncommittally, teasingly saying, “Do you have enough points then?”

Elder Clinton’s face drooped, “Not enough…”

Leonard, of course, knew it wasn’t enough.

Although he didn’t know what tier the space consciousness judged the old man to be, Elder Clinton had, for fear of drawing enmity, been slacking the entire time and had hardly killed any insects.

Of course, he couldn’t leave.

Leonard continued, “How about you come with me, Senior? I can help you earn some points?”

Elder Clinton had a very special halo on him; harboring ill will towards him could lead to some indescribable misfortune.

But Leonard had no malice; he knew the old man couldn’t die and vaguely guessed the secrets tied to him might also have a direct connection with the Outer God.

Elder Clinton was indeed searching for the stele, but Leonard knew the three steles he was aware of all had key connections with God.

The Forbidden Ruins Stele, the Spell Clay Pot, and Elder Clinton himself… seemed to form a certain logical loop.

All of this led Leonard to believe they constituted an “unsolved mystery” of the world.

An existence even more mysterious than Emperor Lanlingster himself.

When Elder Clinton wasn’t on his other identity, his combat power was weak. Presumably, knowing his own inability to kill the insects, he agreed to the proposal.

And so, the two continued to infiltrate deeper into the insect nest.

The commotion of the battle inside the cave grew louder and louder.

However, since the main force had attracted nearly all the insects in the nest, Leonard Churchill and his companion didn’t encounter much danger.

With that Brigadier controlling the Hunting God Armor, and the hundred elite Mechanical Warriors, the reconnaissance squad wasn’t so easily wiped out.

It was for this reason that Leonard felt there was an opportunity to trigger an even more challenging hidden storyline.

Experience had proven that deeply exploring a plot could yield unexpected rewards.

Take, for example, Leonard’s previous experience in “The third Holy Grail War of Ironforge.”

The difficulty of that Alternate Dimension would normally not give rise to a kingship supreme treasure like the Xismark Holy Grail.

But the fact was, Leonard and his team, by triggering a non-mainline hidden plot, ended up obtaining the Holy Grail.

And this “Terror Nest” was associated with a battle that led to the downfall of Saint Crown City three thousand years ago, involving many top powers and secrets, including the Outer God “Mysterious Insect Mother Karakta.”

Leonard wasn’t content to merely scour the insect nest for standard rewards and leave.

He wanted to see just what exactly had happened in the battle that led to the downfall of Taren Dynasty.

Moreover, for Leonard, the risks in the Alternate Dimension were more controllable.

No matter how the difficulty increased, it would still be assessed based on the tier of the participants.

According to the rules of the Alternate Dimension and past experiences, with only two Sixth Order Card Masters in their adventuring party, even if the plot’s difficulty was the highest at S+, the final BOSS would probably be of the Seventh Rank.

It was entirely worth a shot.

Most importantly, Elder Clinton couldn’t die, Ivan could get out, and as for himself… he craved excitement.

He had no psychological burden whatsoever.

With this thought in mind, Leonard led Elder Clinton deeper still.

The Werewolf’s keen sense of smell allowed him to roughly make out routes in the air that might lead to the mother insect’s nest.

Based on the intelligence gathered and the direction of the current battle din, Leonard deduced a few routes towards the insect nest that the Thunder Group might have hidden.

“The mother insect’s intelligence is very high, so it will inevitably know about the human adventurers’ feint strategy… to find it,”

Leonard thought as he walked, coming to a conclusion, “So, no matter how well hidden, if you get close to the nest, you’re bound to be discovered.”

With this in mind, Leonard’s pace quickened.

Even if the mother insect knew what was happening, their two-man team was the most inconspicuous one.

He wanted to find the mother insect before the other two teams were wiped out.

The challenge of this Alternate Dimension has never been to locate the mother insect but to survive an assault by swarms of insects.

And as expected, just as Leonard led Elder Clinton deeper by another four or five hundred meters, dense sounds suddenly filled the tunnel.
