Yan Fei nodded and agreed, though he didn’t quite know what to make of it all.

Although this ancient building was well preserved, it was a pity that it had been built in the wrong place. Tanghe County was filled with many historical relics, including a tower in the county town with a history of more than a thousand years. There were several other historical relics throughout the county even older than this tower, including Neolithic sites nearby, from which various artifacts had been unearthed.

In a place like this, a three-hundred-year-old ancient building seemed too "young" - it just wasn’t noteworthy!

However, the Vice Principal’s intent was crystal clear - he wanted to boost the fame of this building. Yan Fei had heard that the high school managed to secure some renovation funds based on this building every year. This was the first real out-of-town trip that Yan Fei and the Missus embarked on. She was very excited, and immediately started packing when they got home. Seeing her about to pack several outfits, Yan Fei quickly advised her, "We are not going far, we will be able to get there by car in the morning and we may stay for a day or two. There’s no need to pack so many clothes!"

"What do you know!" The Missus disdainfully retorted. "Didn’t you see the cameras they brought? I’ll bring a few outfits so we can change and take some photos with their camera!"

"Alright then!" Yan Fei said, while he quietly made a mental note to inquire about the price of cameras.

She packed a large bag of clothes, food, and necessities. Yan Fei figured that since they had a car, why not let her pack. As for him, his packing was far simpler, he didn’t have many clothes to begin with. As for other stuff, he just needed to bring his all-purpose small shoulder bag. That bag could produce hundreds of thousands any time he wanted; if something was needed, he could buy it on the spot.

As the Missus was packing, she suddenly shouted excitedly, "Oh, this is the lipstick that Xiao Ya gave me last time! I almost forgot about it!"

Yan Fei immediately expressed interest, "I’ve never seen you put on makeup before, so let’s try it out!"
