So Yan Fei planned to help the Kronosaurus relocate and settle in the big river instead.

The Kronosaurus family was too ’enthusiastic’ towards him.

All he did was occasionally transform into a Kronosaurus in the lake to learn their hunting techniques. But then, he became the replacement for the unfortunate Kronosaurus that had died, making the group of one adult and three young Kronosaurus stick to him whenever they saw him, which became overwhelming for him.

It was bearable with the young Kronosaurus, as all they wanted was a fish from his mouth. But when the adult Kronosaurus also clung to him, he couldn’t take it - after all, he wasn’t a real Kronosaurus, and he couldn’t reproduce with them, so why did they keep coming to him?!

If he didn’t transfer this family away soon, he wouldn’t be able to play in the lake while being a Kronosaurus.

He had been observing for a few days now, and there was a place upstream in the big river that ran through the mountains. It was perfect to relocate the Kronosaurus family there. Though the river wasn’t as wide as the lake, being by the big river would remove the worry of food shortage, making it a better place than the lake.

Once the plan was finalized, he started with the execution.

Seizing the moment when the large Kronosaurus was off guard, he snuggled around its neck near its body and instantly appeared in the Yellow River. Then, he appeared under a cliff on the riverbank.

The big Kronosaurus got startled by the sudden change in environment and wanted to look for Yan Fei, but found nothing.

Before it could panic, Yan Fei appeared again, this time as a small Kronosaurus.

Then came the second, followed by the third.

When the whole family of Kronosaurus was gathered, they started to calm down significantly.

This cave-like space that was made by knocking away some rocks by Yan Fei worked well as a resting site for the Kronosaurus. It was right next to the water’s edge, and with their long necks, the Kronosaurus could easily catch fish when they were swimming close by, without moving too much.

The entrance to the cave was designed with a gentle slope to prevent any difficulty in entry for these clunky creatures. All in all, Yan Fei’s arrangements were quite considerate.

Watching the young Kronosaurus hesitantly swimming in the water for a while, getting used to the water flow, and finally swimming freely made Yan Fei relieved.

After all, they were born aquatic creatures; small difficulties like this were nothing to them.

Returning to Vegetable Garden Island, he managed to make some food for himself, and then started considering how to help Little Dark-skinned Girl.

Had it not been for his wife’s soft heart, he wouldn’t even be bothering to find a solution.

He hadn’t come up with any idea until he finished eating, so he started rummaging in his ’study’ cave in Vegetable Garden Island, hoping to find something helpful.

Having hoarded objects into this cave like a mouse since childhood, the cave was indeed full of stuff.

There were some small paintings, a spinning top, a bull-leather whip for spinning the top, wrappers for sugar cubes, and even a bundle of moldy ice-cream sticks in one corner...

Seeing those sugar wrappers reminded Yan Fei something. These were from the times when Xu Xiaoyan would ’steal’ small sugar cubes from her home for him to eat. They were careful not to be seen, so they hid in the house to eat, then she would ask him to hide the wrappers and throw them away when they were out playing.

He picked up the small object and rotated it in his hand a few times. Suddenly he had an idea — a solution about the Little Dark-skinned Girl’s parents being afraid to hawk their wares.

He stood up, leaving the mess on the floor untouched, feeling quite pleased with the idea he had come up with.

An undisturbed sleep till he naturally woke up, then immediately got to preparing breakfast for the girl.

While fishing at night, he had to rely solely on his senses, there was no way for him to know what kind of fish he caught, as long as there was a fish he wouldn’t let it go. Upon visual inspection, he saw that there were many kinds, from carp to catfish and even more that he didn’t recognize.

But it didn’t matter, as long as they were edible, those that were left would be thrown into the ring-shaped lake, which would eventually turn into his fish pond.

The whole braised fish was too large to carry, so he had to cut it into two pieces and put them in a small basin, then he wrapped the basin in a cloth and set it aside.

On his cycle ride to school, he stopped by a shop that opened early and bought two small toys and stuffed them into his backpack.

After buying them, he felt joyful; these were for the parents of the Little Dark-skinned Girl, for them to use while selling peanuts.

Upon reaching the school and making sure no one was looking, a small cloth bag hung on the handle of the bike was seen, he went to meet the girl for breakfast.
