Chapter 1523: Chapter 732 Doing Bad Things
Lin Haihu held his breath and stealthily checked the rearview mirror while driving in the dark, unfortunately, he couldn’t see anything and could only strain his ears, focusing on whether Yan Fei could persuade Xu Xiaoyan.
Some things just can’t be tolerated, although Lin Haihu was somewhat mixed up, he was infuriated by the act of a bus kicking a woman and two children off in the middle of nowhere.
Yan Fei hadn’t said much before, but he was also seething internally. If Lin hadn’t managed to catch up with this bus, he was planning to take the chance to go look for it himself later—there are many injustices in the world, and while one may not encounter them all, extending a hand when able is the basic moral duty of any person.
In the darkness, Xu Xiaoyan blinked her big eyes: "Let’s smash it a few times then run, just don’t get caught..."
Lin Haihu’s blood boiled in an instant, thrilled: "Don’t worry, with us taking care of it, just sit tight in the car and watch how we do it."
He parked the car by the roadside and began to cover the license plate, while Yan Fei ran to a ditch beside the road, and returned with a wooden stick: "Use this, and remember, there is an iron rod in the car trunk, I’ll use that. Remember, run immediately when I do, don’t linger."
The two guys set to cover the license plate, and Yan Fei wouldn’t let Lin Haihu drive anymore—he took the lead, driving the car himself with Lin Haihu sitting beside him, gripping his wooden stick excitedly. To the nervous adults and excited children in the back seat, he said: "Watch closely, we’ll take care of them soon."
The Jeep roared through the dark road, and soon, they caught up with the bus traveling overnight. Yan Fei flashed his lights a few times from behind, feigning to overtake, and drew closer while honking several times.
The bus driver, unaware of the actual reason, thought there was some issue as the honking Jeep kept pushing him, so he pulled over.
Yan Fei quickly blocked the bus with the Jeep, and Lin Haihu, with his face covered by his clothes reversed, leaped down with the stick and started smashing the most vulnerable headlights. Before he could smash the second headlight, he heard a loud thud and felt the whole bus shake.
The passengers inside the bus initially thought the Jeep was alerting them to a problem with their own vehicle—after all, considering highway robberies, seasoned drivers who had traveled extensively for many years had never seen someone in a Jeep Grand Cherokee trying to rob a bus like theirs—added together, the money on the bus wouldn’t even be worth the vehicle!
Unexpectedly, they then saw two men wielding weapons and furiously smashing at the bus. These actions stopped anyone from attempting to leave the bus. In the pitch-dark and chaotic scene, it felt safer inside the bus. Damage to the bus was a minor issue, but personal injuries were a serious concern, especially since there were no hospitals around.
When Yan Fei wielded the big iron rod, no one dared to leave the bus. The whole bus trembled from the force of the blows—nobody could withstand a hit from that rod, not even a man of steel!
Bang, bang, bang...
The continuous loud noises left everyone on the bus shaken, some of whom were awoken from their sleep, puzzled by what was happening. As they noticed the surrounding silence, everyone kept quiet, anxiously waiting...
Occasionally, a child’s cry would break the silence, quickly muffled by adults, fearing it would provoke the fierce men below.
Once Lin Haihu and Yan Fei circled the bus and met up, Yan Fei with a loud bang from his stick whispered, "Let’s go!"
The two men immediately ran to their car. As they passed the front of the bus, Yan Fei jumped up and struck the windshield twice with his stick, shattering it completely except for a few fragments left hanging pitifully.
"This road isn’t owned by you alone, drive to the side. If I see you block the way again, I’ll smash it..." After finishing, Yan Fei pointed towards the few people in front, uttered gruffly, then turned and got into the car, quickly stepping on the clutch, shifting gears, and accelerating. The car zoomed off with a roar.
The passengers of the big bus, waited until they were gone to cautiously descend with flashlights, and upon seeing their vehicle’s pitiful state, they were all on the verge of tears.
It was too damn pitiful; not only were all the headlights gone, but the body of the bus surrounding them was also battered and dented. The tires were intact, but the hubs were smashed. The worst was the back of the bus, utterly smashed to pieces, and it was hard to know what internal damage there might be—judging by the several large holes on the bus body, the outlook was grim.
It needs to be known, on the rear part of large buses it usually says, ’Rear engine, maintain distance’ in big letters.
At first, people thought it was just damage to the bus, at worst a few dents, broken headlights, and punctured tires. While it would be expensive to repair, at least it was fixable. But now, whether the bus was even worth repairing was dubious!
"Cousin, you are really ruthless, I admire you. From now on, if you say head east, I won’t go west; if you say head south, I won’t go north..." The Jeep had driven quite a distance, and Lin Haihu was still visibly excited, chatting non-stop. "By the way, why did you feel the need to say something when leaving?"
