Chapter 1491: Chapter 717 Land Procedures Barbecue_2

If the frantic Japanese and the angry and fear-stricken Americans knew that a certain grand demon responsible for creating mysterious events had no clue about what he had caused, they’d undoubtedly spit blood in frustration.

Yan Fei ran into the helicopter and sat down, after looking for a while, felt it was necessary to find a teacher. He disappeared and came back with a pilot in hand, asking him in English, "How do you start this thing? Tell me!"

The pilot was still a bit stunned.

He was part of the unlucky group that had arrived on an island at midnight, and before they could react, they were chased by a pack of nocturnal Rapators like rabbits. A bunch of people, some barely clothed, faced a well-coordinated pack of Rapators. Though they seemed to have the physical advantage, it was of no use, and they scattered in a frantic chase.

This guy was lucky to have climbed a large tree, holding on till now on a single branch. Suddenly, he’s inside a helicopter, it’d be strange if his brain could keep up.

"Talk fast, or I’ll send you back to the deserted island. If you speak, you can live here from now on," Yan Fei reminded him.

The pilot glanced around, and quickly made up his mind. He began to earnestly teach about the interior structure of the helicopter—resistance seemed unwise at this point. At least now, seeing the armed patrolmen around, he knew what to do.

Three minutes later, No.1 Coolie led a few people and ’took over’ this extremely lucky pilot, while Yan Fei, following what he had been taught, commenced his first attempt at manually controlling a flight.

After settling in, he started the engine, pushed the throttle, feet ready on the rudder pedals keeping balance...

This was different from driving a car!

Yan Fei muttered in his mind, felt about ready, pulled the control stick and took off, then pushed the stick and the helicopter started to fly forward; it wasn’t too complicated...

Just when he felt pretty successful, he noticed something wrong. The obedient helicopter suddenly dipped its nose and rushed towards a nearby fighter jet.

Yan Fei, quick on his feet, stepped down with one foot on instinct, and quickly pulled the stick back.

As the helicopter shook, there was a loud bang, and without a word, he disappeared from the cockpit.

In the distance, No.1 Coolie and an unknown number of other Coolies watched the helicopter nervously. Yan Fei thought he was doing okay, but to these onlookers, it was full of dangerous thrills, life-threateningly exciting.

They watched the helicopter wobble left and right during takeoff, not quite reaching a safe height when it started to lurch forward and almost crash, suddenly turning around and heading straight for another fighter jet.

In the moment everyone was startled, the pilot being held shouted in English, "Get down!"

No.1 Coolie, still confused, didn’t understand, but the other Coolies, who knew some English, and some even professionally, immediately got the message and dropped down.

By the time No.1 Coolie realized what was going on, he saw a helicopter’s propeller spinning over, whistling as it flew sideways. It all happened so fast, just as No.1 Coolie lamented his fate, a figure appeared beside him, grabbing the propeller as it flew by.

Yan Fei was unsatisfied and scolded No.1 Coolie, "Are you nuts, everyone else knew to get down, why are you standing there like an idiot? You want a slow death?"

Carelessly tossing aside what was in his hand, Yan Fei ignored the explosions nearby and approached another helicopter.

Before he could get on, another explosion erupted, and he watched a piece of debris, not sure what it was, hit the very helicopter.

Logically, helicopters wouldn’t be arranged tightly like toys. But that’s exactly what Yan Fei had done, and now, because they were so close together, the helicopter hit one of the fighter jets, and several surrounding aircraft were mostly destroyed.

Fortunately, everything was picked up for free, so there’s no heartache, it’s just a pity that one and a half of the two helicopters have been scrapped in the blink of an eye. Not sure if the remaining half can still fly after some repairs?

Oh well, at least I can now say I’ve flown a helicopter.

Checking the time, Yan Fei thought it was about right and casually instructed the coolies to clean up the area as quickly as possible, then he left the dinosaur world directly.

After coming out, he was on a small road not far from Provincial City, patted the hurriedly brought-out driver’s license in his pocket, and drove the Mercedes Benz S600 straight into Provincial City.

Wang Yongcheng and Dong Qiushi had been eagerly awaiting for a long time, and showered Yan Fei with grateful words when they saw him. Yan Fei watched the jovial Chen He and immediately waved his hand: "No need to be so polite; after a few more encounters, we’ll be friends. If we’re this formal, we won’t be able to talk business in the future. Old Chen is still here! Let’s not give him the chance to laugh at us, it’s about time for work, so let’s just go handle the procedures!"

"Well then, Boss Wang, Xiaodong, you guys stop with the polite talk too. Boss Yan doesn’t care for this kind of formality, let’s just get the procedures done quickly, and then we can accompany him for a good drink," Chen He chimed in beside them.

"Okay, okay, okay..." Dong Qiushi and Wang Yongcheng nodded repeatedly.

Wang Yongcheng added, "I’ve contacted all the necessary people, as soon as we get there we can get it done, it won’t take too much time."

"I won’t drive my car, I’ll take a ride in Boss Yan’s Mercedes," Chen He said with a grin as he walked towards Yan Fei’s Benz.

Just like Wang Yongcheng said, he’d already contacted the people. In fact, once people knew someone was willing to take over his land and saw the real gold and silver in his account, their attitude towards him had changed.

Wang Yongcheng had also been struggling in society for many years, and he had come to view such matters with calm detachment. When the wall falls, everyone pushes it, and it’s understandable that one is treated differently when in or out of favor—there are plenty of such instances in life, and if one really took them all to heart, it would be impossible to keep up.

For Wang Yongcheng, it was just that this time the crisis was a bit bigger. It was a favor if people were willing to help, and it was only right if they didn’t, nothing to complain about. Now that someone was offering help in his time of need, he just needed to remember it; complaints would be useless.

In one afternoon, the procedures were mostly taken care of, and the rest wasn’t because people weren’t willing to help, but because there were processes that just needed to be followed slowly. Such a big land transaction definitely involved more procedures than buying vegetables at the wet market.

When they were finished, Chen He suggested that everyone should try something special, and after making a phone call, he hurried Yan Fei to go to the small courtyard in Provincial City.

When Yan Fei arrived at his doorstep, he saw a small truck parked outside and two young men waiting.

Yan Fei opened the door, and the two young men began to move things into the courtyard—barbecue grills, dining tables, various ingredients, and boxes of beer, all properly prepared.

Chen He was smug: "How about that? I had people prepare it especially for us, so we can have a self-service barbecue today. Come on Boss Yan, quickly come help, once you’ve learned how to do this, you can show off to Xu Xing..."

Barbecuing has become popular nationwide in a short time, and it’s not without reason—it’s easy to learn and get started, and you don’t need many things. But most people are too lazy to set this up themselves, and doing your own barbecue has its own pleasures, while street grilling has its own charm—it all depends on personal preference.

Yan Fei, however, is a professional chef, and Chen He is merely a hobbyist; the food he made couldn’t compare to Yan Fei’s. Originally, he wanted to host Yan Fei to express his gratitude for the face Yan Fei had given him before, but in the end, Yan Fei and a professional young man who came along turned out to be the main force behind the barbecue, while he completely became a foodie...

However, Chen He had indeed caught on to Yan Fei’s temperament—he wasn’t the slightest bit standoffish, and Yan Fei actually felt more comfortable with that. If everyone was too formal, he’d lose interest altogether.

They poured who knows how many boxes of beer throughout the evening, and when the meal was over and guests were gone, Yan Fei, sitting alone in the courtyard, felt melancholic again... His wife wasn’t by his side, what to do!
