"Yep!" Yan Fei nodded. "What does this show? ’The virtuous will have support; the wicked will have none.’ People like me are always surrounded by those willing to help. Auntie, you don’t have to keep Uncle Baoguo’s matter a secret from me anymore, I’m going to discuss it with the village officials right now. Oh, and hand me the official seal..."

On a second try, she managed to get it moving, but it was incredibly heavy.

"What on earth is this?" Xiang Rui came over, speaking as she approached. "Here, let’s lift it together!"

As they each took one end of the bag’s straps and heaved together, Xu Xiaoyan’s side lifted, but Xiang Rui’s didn’t budge.

That wasn’t the worst of it; the zipper burst open too.

Xiang Rui caught a glimpse of what was inside and immediately exclaimed, "Oh my God!"

Like a hungry tiger pouncing on its prey, she covered the bag and looked around furtively, catching the gazes of a new bride, a new mother, and a new high school student in the office. With a glare, she scolded, "What are you looking at? No one’s allowed to look!"

Then, turning to Xu Xiaoyan with wide, angry eyes, she exploded, "You two... have you lost your minds? A bag full of this stuff... and you leave it lying around carelessly? Are you trying to scare someone to death or what?"
