Chapter 1011: Chapter 535 Cooperation Photo Taking Never Boast_3
"Oh, sorry, got it!" Yan Fei pretended to pull Tiger Da, continuing forward as they walked. It was a blatant pretense — the collar was gone, and he was just clutching a tuft of fur around its neck, calling that a pull?
People adapt pretty well, it seems. Given Tiger Da’s continuous docility, everyone, upon seeing Yan Fei’s action, had no choice but to reluctantly follow along.
Upon reaching a small grove, Yan Fei got Tiger Da to stand still, waiting for Chen Yingjun’s Tibetan Mastiff to arrive.
However, two minutes later, the Tibetan Mastiff did show up but just stood outside the grove, stubbornly refusing to enter. Er Bao desperately tugged at it, but instead of pulling it into the grove, the loyal Tibetan Mastiff dragged him off farther away.
Chen Yingjun and a few workers caring for the Tibetan Mastiff went over to help, struggling for a long while. He even felt a little pity for the Tibetan Mastiff, "How about we let this slide, Boss Yan? Thanks for your generosity. It doesn’t want to get photographed, so let’s not bother. Sorry for troubling you..."
Yan Fei looked at the innocent-looking Tiger Da and felt helpless.
Just as he was about to give up, an idea struck him, "How about this? I’ll bring over the two smaller tigers. They’re still juveniles, always up for playing. I’ll bring them over in a bit. Just wait here..."
Saying this, he leapt onto the back of Tiger Da, "Back we go!"
Tiger Da initially thought he was out for a spin but, realizing they had to return, his head drooped immediately. With a low growl, he lazily started back the same way.
This display of spirit caused envy among the surrounding men — their eyes turned red with jealousy. After all, just imagine having such a fierce beast as a mount; that would be explosively prestigious compared to those who boast about their dogs!
The most disturbed was Chen Yingjun. Although he raised the Tibetan Mastiff for profit, his frequent interactions with the dog had built a bond. Proud of his Tibetan Mastiff until now, he now felt a multitude of emotions, unable to voice his thoughts...
Yet, in less than two minutes, Yan Fei returned with two slightly smaller tigers.
Tiger Er and Tiger San, being young when separated from their parents, depended more on Yan Fei. But like children raised at home, they always acted entitled, not trying to please Yan Fei like Tiger Da did. However, when it came to being stubborn and clingy, they were much more formidable than Tiger Da.
It was really about being stubborn, like the previous time Yan Fei took Tiger Da out. Perhaps feeling left behind, they ate less over the next two meals. Or, when unwilling, if asked to do something, they simply wouldn’t budge.
Tiger Da wouldn’t dare do this, since he had a brief period of independence when he first arrived. It’s a known fact about tigers — as tiger cubs grow, they are driven away by their mothers. Having been driven away before, Tiger Da was very satisfied with his current life and didn’t want to be ’abandoned’ again — which is why, even at the zoo, he acted as though he wished he could turn into a picture and stick himself onto Yan Fei.
Now, Tiger Er and Tiger San were not too happy; they had hunted in Dinosaur World the previous night, eaten too much, and were simply too lazy to move. It was only after Yan Fei reprimanded them that they reluctantly came over, visibly unwilling.
Yet, to outsiders, this scene underscored the deep bond between Yan Fei and the tigers, a natural and uncontrived roughhousing that was a display of genuine affection — despite the incongruous sizes between Yan Fei and the tigers.
But this wasn’t the ultimate blow to people’s pride, what truly squashed any remnants of their competitive spirit were the two Golden Eagles circling overhead — these two creatures had finally digested their feed and stopped squatting on the rooftops like statues.
Larger than ordinary Golden Eagles, the pair, with wingspans of two to three meters and over a meter in body length, circled overhead, accompanied by two massive, oblivious tigers. In comparison, those who walked dogs or birds might as well find an isolated spot, dig a hole, and jump in to die...
Even with the arrival of the two tigers, Chen Yingjun’s utter dismay continued — the Tibetan Mastiff still refused to enter the grove.
It wasn’t that they couldn’t forcefully drag it in, but that wouldn’t serve the purpose of the photoshoot. If the pictures showed the Tibetan Mastiff all anxious and on guard while the tigers were hardly impressive, what was the point?
Chen Yingjun cursed internally. He had high hopes for his Tibetan Mastiff, but such a performance left him unsure how to deal with it in the future.
In fact, he was misjudging this mastiff. If he had brought one that was always raised in a sheltered environment — knowing that Tibetan Mastiffs are not particularly intelligent and are highly influenced by their surroundings — it would explain why mastiffs bred over time no longer matched their legendary past and ended up as mere meat dogs.
If in the icy terrains of Southwest Province, where they guarded sheep daily alongside their kind, they would be ferocious mastiffs. But once raised in a greenhouse, they just became foolish pets; such a dog Chen Yingjun also had, and if he had brought one of those, the outcome right now would be daring enough to venture into the woods — for such a foolish dog, as long as the master was there, it would fear nothing.
In the end, Yan Fei couldn’t stand it and said, "Let me handle this!"
Er Bao opened his mouth, intending to mention that his Black Lion didn’t like strangers approaching, but after some thought, he kept his mouth shut. Telling someone who raised tigers and black bears that his dog was fierce was something he couldn’t bring himself to say.
