Chapter 139: Chapter 151: It’s Easy to Dodge an Open Seduction, But Hard to Guard Against Hidden Pettiness (12)
Isabel Smith began to turn around nonchalantly, stepping in her high heels and following unhurriedly behind Elijah Smith, ready to leave as well.
Elijah Smith listened to the footsteps of the heels behind him, felt a little vexed, stopped immediately, turned around, but he spoke in the direction of the dumbfounded men: "So you guys like to play the game of changing girlfriends, huh? Now’s good, I’m handing her over to you, go and have fun, just don’t bother me!"
Upon finishing his speech, without even sparing a glance at Isabel Smith, Elijah Smith opened the door and left the private booth without looking back.
Isabel Smith took a few quick steps, wanting to follow him, but upon hearing Elijah Smith’s words, the awakened men suddenly sprang up and surrounded Isabel Smith.
"Maiden, what’s your name?"
"Maiden, you’ve interrupted our fun, so now you’ll have to entertain us instead."
"Maiden, I like girls like you. You look soft and weak, but when you get angry, you’re fiery and spirited, you’ve got charisma!"
....
Elijah Smith walked out of the Magnificent confidently, found his car, stood beside it, pulled out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, took several vicious puffs, but still felt extremely irritated, following which he raised his foot, and began to fiercely kick his car several times.
The car alarm began to screech loudly.
Elijah Smith felt even more annoyed, kicked a few more times, then switched on the car, sat down, and continued to puff away at his cigarette. After a while, he gradually calmed down and remembered what he had said to those men in his fit of rage.
Did he really leave Isabel Smith with them?
Those men were all dandies, relying on their family’s wealth, without any bottom line. If Isabel Smith stayed there, it would certainly spell trouble.
Elijah Smith’s hand instinctively reached to the car door, but as soon as he touched it, he remembered how Isabel Smith had embarrassed him in front of so many people. His brows furrowed, feeling a surge of anger in his heart. What did he care what happened to her?
Though he thought so defiantly, no matter what, the rebellious Elijah Smith had not decayed to his core. So, less than a minute later, Elijah Smith opened the car door.
As soon as Elijah Smith got out of the car, his mobile phone began to ring. He somewhat annoyed, took out his mobile phone from his pocket, locked the car in the process, glanced at the name of the incoming call on the screen, Charlotte Green. He promptly picked up the call, yelling, "Sis, what’s up?", while checking if the car was properly locked.
Elijah Smith turned around, as he started to walk back towards the main entrance of the Magnificent.
"Elijah, where are you?" Evelyn Osbert’s tender voice passed through the microphone, sounding very gentle.
Elijah Smith glanced at the grand entrance of the Magnificent, let out a sigh, and answered honestly: "I’m hanging out at the Magnificent with a few friends, what’s wrong?"
As he asked, Elijah Smith took out another cigarette from his pocket, put it in his mouth, lit it, took a slow puff, then he heard Evelyn Osbert’s low voice softly say: "Can you come home now? Uncle Ran is not here, I’m feeling a bit unwell, my head hurts badly. Can you take me to the hospital?"
Uncle Ran is a many years long-serving driver of the Smith family.
Elijah Smith quickly exhaled the smoke he had just inhaled. The smoke didn’t form a ring, it formed a messy cloud in front of his handsome face. His tone was noticeably cross: "Is it serious?"
