Chapter 614: Chapter 0616: A Great Play [Part 2]

Jin Yu’s expression stiffened when he heard Young Master Qi’s words.

Young Master Qi came from the Qi Family of Yanjing, a family that ranked as one of the most powerful in Huaxia. With a tremendous sphere of influence and solid background, it stood as one of the five permanent director families on the Family Committee. Their business and power pervaded virtually every industry in Huaxia; one could see the Qi Family’s hand virtually everywhere.

If the Qi Family really wanted to move against the Jin Family, it could be said without exaggeration that it would be as easy as crushing an ant.

In fact, the Qi Family wouldn’t even need to lift a finger, a mere word would result in hordes of people fighting to do the task for them. This represented an unsurmountable and destructive force that Jin Yu simply couldn’t resist.

Jin Yu had already lost everything now, with only the legacy his father had left him—the Jin Family. Without it, the Jin Family would truly have nothing.

Jin Yu didn’t care if he could protect the Jin Family, what he truly cared about was whether he could avenge his father.

His expression hardened for a moment before he used sipping tea to cover it up, then he said, "Young Master Qi, I know that if you want to move against me, a simple flick of your fingers would suffice. But I believe, Young Master Qi, you wouldn’t do that."

Young Master Qi looked at Jin Yu and said, "Give me a reason not to touch you. If the reason you give satisfies me, no, if it makes me happy, I might even consider letting the Jin Family last a bit longer."

Clearly, the Jin Family was nothing but a plaything for Young Master Qi.

Jin Yu’s face turned slightly ugly upon hearing these words. Despite everything, the Jin Family was a significant family, and Young Master Qi’s insult to the legacy his father had left behind was more than Jin Yu could bear.

However, at this time, he obviously couldn’t afford to anger Young Master Qi.

"Can’t find a reason?" Young Master Qi asked, looking at Jin Yu’s unsightly expression.

"Bang!"

The door flew open, and Chu Feng and An Rongrong entered from outside.

"The reason he doesn’t agree is me. Do you think that’s sufficient?" Chu Feng said as he walked in.

"Young Master Chu." Jin Yu, seeing Chu Feng enter, also quickly got up to greet him.

Meanwhile, Young Master Qi remained seated, not moving an inch. Even his gaze towards Chu Feng was filled with seething anger.

"How come you didn’t get enough in Yanjing and have followed me to East River, ready for another beating?" Chu Feng said to Qi Zhi, whom he had beaten up in Yanjing.

It’s said that one should not hit a person in the face nor expose one’s shortcomings when insulting them.

But Chu Feng clearly lacked such awareness. To him, not hitting the face nor exposing shortcomings was as good as not insulting or hitting at all.

How else could one make others remember them if not by causing them pain?

Looking at Chu Feng, Qi Zhi said, "Chu Feng, I hope you recognize the situation. In today’s society, it’s not about whose fists are bigger."

Chu Feng nodded and replied, "I agree with you. But I also know that without fist strength, there’s no right to speak at all. And I never feel that having a bigger fist means one can talk more. Fists are made for hitting people, though occasionally they’re used for beating dogs!"

"Chu Feng! I hope you see the situation clearly. If you don’t want your Fengjing Group to collapse tomorrow, then take back your words!" Qi Zhi was truly enraged.

Chu Feng retorted, "I’m quite clear about the situation, and you probably don’t understand me. If you dare touch my Fengjing Group, I assure you that you won’t leave East River. I always do what I say, so don’t threaten me, because I’m not sure if I might lose control and beat you right now."

Qi Zhi’s face turned ashen as he stared at Chu Feng.

"Hey, old man, don’t try anything sly. I can be nastier than you in that game. If you don’t believe me, I can make you swallow the dart hidden up your sleeve," Chu Feng warned the elder standing behind Qi Zhi.

Upon hearing Chu Feng’s words, the old man’s expression inevitably shifted. But still, he made his move.

Whiz!

Whiz!

The old man raised his hand, and three Zen beads in a ’品’ formation flew towards Chu Feng.

The elder was a Xuan Level Late Stage expert, and his hidden weapon, the dart, indeed reached the heavenly level of mastery.

The three Zen beads seemed to travel at a steady pace, deceptively simple. But hidden within was a dark strength, waiting to explode regardless of whether Chu Feng caught them hard or soft. In which case, the beads would fragment completely.

Chu Feng couldn’t assure that An Rongrong and Jin Yu would remain unharmed in the aftermath.

Chu Feng absolutely wouldn’t allow any harm to come to An Rongrong, but he also wouldn’t accept any harm coming to Jin Yu.

After all, Jin Yu was his ally. If he couldn’t protect his own ally, how could Chu Feng expect to have allies in East River?

Thus, Chu Feng not only had to catch the elder’s strike but do so firmly without hurting anyone.

Of course, the idea was good, but actual execution proved truly difficult.

The three Zen beads wielded sophisticated force, whether Chu Feng wrapped them in Spiritual Energy or tried any other means. The slightest external force would cause them to immediately burst.

Such was the masterful covert weapon technique that, despite the attacker only being at the Xuan Level Late Stage, it had indeed caught Chu Feng off guard.

The beads traveled at a uniform speed, neither fast nor slow, seeming to offer Chu Feng time to think. But more so, it was a display of confidence and provocation.

The elder was confident in his strength, and he believed that Chu Feng couldn’t break through.

Chu Feng made his move, but not targeting the Zen beads directly, rather the trajectory they flew from.

Chu Feng threw out a palm strike, using his Spiritual Energy to create a vacuum zone in front of him.

Then, he launched another palm strike, and a wall of completely smooth Spiritual Energy materialized within that vacuum.

The elder was puzzled as to why Chu Feng did this, but a bizarre scene unfolded.

His normally invincible trick circled around the wall of Spiritual Energy Chu Feng had created and then turned back towards its original direction.

It was an event the elder had never encountered before, as if he had seen a ghost.

Chu Feng looked at the elder’s expression and said, "Didn’t you go to school? Didn’t you learn about the conservation of energy or that the net force is zero in a vacuum resulting in uniform motion? If you haven’t studied these, go read a book. As an Ancient Martial Expert of the new era, if you don’t keep up with the times, do you really think you can make it out there?"

Chu Feng’s words left the elder stupefied; indeed, he was unaware of these things.

Because he thought he didn’t need them.
