On the other hand, it could be beneficial. Whether Chu Feng or Shangguan Wan won, it wouldn’t be a bad thing for Bai Jiahang.

In less than ten minutes, Shangguan Wan received a message that her father had arrived.

This news made Shangguan Wan even more anxious and shocked.

Her father, though not the Family Head, was known to all as the second-in-command of the Shangguan Family.

If her father had come forward, it meant that this was no trivial matter.

"Let’s go and see if we can make Chu Feng leave on his own." Shangguan Wan, after all, was a woman. At this moment, she still hoped for someone to discuss with and to offer her advice.

Bai Jiahang said, "Wan’er, from what I know of him, he is not one to reason with. Us going there might not yield any results."

Shangguan Wan angrily said, "No results, so we shouldn’t go? Should we just stay here and do nothing? I don’t want to end up a castaway, living in a small place like East River for the rest of my life."

Bai Jiahang, hearing Shangguan Wan’s words, felt a flash of anger in his eyes. But this was the Capital, not East River. Though there was anger in his eyes and heart, he couldn’t let it show on his face.

"Then let’s give it a try," Bai Jiahang said, adjusting his emotions.

Shangguan Wan and Bai Jiahang arrived at the villa where Chu Feng was. Chu Feng, seeing Bai Jiahang, smiled and said, "I was wondering who would care so much about me. Brother Bai, it’s you. We just parted on the plane, and you miss me already? How am I to respond to that? But I’m sorry, Brother Bai, I really don’t like men."

Chu Feng’s words always made people feel the urge to hit him.

"What exactly do you want to be willing to leave?" Shangguan Wan demanded imperiously.

Chu Feng looked on at the commanding but completely unfamiliar woman and said, "Auntie, where do you come from, and what does my leaving have to do with you?"

Chu Feng’s words completely robbed the usually gentle and noble Shangguan Wan of her sanity.

At least three people in the room thought Chu Feng’s words were begging for a beating.

"What do you want?" Shangguan Wan’s father felt coming here was already a humiliation to him, let alone negotiating terms with Chu Feng, which added further insult.
