Chapter 544: Chapter 0546: I’m Eating, You’re Watching
Chu Feng remained so calm, and he actually returned as he said he would, which unsettled the four men.
"So, are you planning to stay here for a midnight snack?" Chu Feng remarked.
The four men exchanged glances and then walked with Chu Feng towards the outside of the airport.
When they reached the outside of the airport, Chu Feng couldn’t help but frown and mutter to himself, "The smog in Yanjing is indeed not a joke."
The four men in black were really at a loss for words, unsure whether Chu Feng was fearless or just too confident. He showed no fear of them at all—after all, they came to take a hostage. Couldn’t you at least pretend to be a little scared, as a nod to our professionalism? Your utter lack of fear, what’s with that attitude?
The four men took Chu Feng to a camper van, and inside, Chu Feng casually grabbed a can of cola from the built-in fridge and said, "You know the address, right? No need to rush. I’ll take a rest. Wake me when we get there."
Such a nonchalant hostage was truly a first for them; for their careers, this was definitely a brand new experience.
Of course, they wouldn’t drive to the place Chu Feng mentioned. They took the expressway and quickly entered the city center.
Chu Feng had thought that they would at least take him to the suburbs, but to his surprise, it was actually the city center.
In the end, the camper van stopped in front of a quiet villa just off the Third Ring Road. Chu Feng was aware of Yanjing’s housing prices; a place like this would definitely cost upwards of ten million.
"The kidnapping business must be doing well now, to afford such a big house. How about I join your gang? Count me in. I’ll be your boss, alright?" Chu Feng said, eyeing the villa.
The four men remained silent because they really didn’t know what to say. They were becoming increasingly unsure who the real kidnapper was.
"Mr. Chu, please get out of the van," said one of the men since staying quiet obviously wasn’t going to work, given that Chu Feng showed no intention of getting out.
Chu Feng looked at the four men and said, "Are you sure you want me to get out? Are you certain you won’t regret it? Don’t say I didn’t warn you—if things get messy in the end, it’s your own bad luck."
"Mr. Chu, please get out of the van!" the man in black repeated.
Chu Feng shook his head, saying, "Good intentions taken for an ox’s liver and horse’s lungs."
Nevertheless, after speaking, Chu Feng still got out, holding the bottle of wine meant for Elder Huang.
After entering the villa, Chu Feng looked around the opulent surroundings and nodded, "Opulent, yes, but lacking in taste; the owner must have no real sense of style."
"Please stay here, Mr. Chu. This place is fully equipped with living necessities," a man in black spoke.
Chu Feng replied, "You four stand guard outside. I trust it won’t be long before your boss hurries over to slap each of you, then casts you aside like disposable shields."
The man in black didn’t respond, but he didn’t believe Chu Feng’s statement. He knew the background of their mysterious employer, and in the Forty-Nine City of Yanjing, there really wasn’t anyone who could make their boss react as Chu Feng had described.
However, he wouldn’t leave because his duty was to watch over Chu Feng.
"Mr. Chu, please hand over your phone," the man in black said.
Chu Feng replied, "Do you think I’ll give it to you? Or do you really think you have the strength to take it from my hands?"
"Young man, I’d advise you to hand it over nicely to avoid any unnecessary pain," said an elder’s voice from above at that moment. Following that, an elder dressed in a blue robe, looking like an old scholar, came down from the second floor.
Chu Feng looked at the elder and asked, "You think you have the power to make me hand over my phone?"
The elder gave a slight smile and said, "Having power is not something you announce."
As soon as he finished speaking, the elder stomped on the ground, then lunged at Chu Feng, flying down from the second floor.
The immense force of the Powerful Energy made the men in black nearly lose their footing, and they hurriedly retreated, distancing themselves from the scene.
"Xuan Level Late Stage, they really do think highly of me, sending such a person to entertain me," Chu Feng said with a slight smile, then he decisively struck. No, it was a kick.
Chu Feng executed a beautiful spinning kick.
His kick was fast and fierce, and it carried an even greater pressure and a locking force, rendering the elder in the blue robe completely unable to move or resist.
"Bang!"
The Xuan Level Late Stage elder could only watch helplessly as Chu Feng’s kick landed on his chest.
"Whoosh!"
The elder in the blue robe was sent flying, then crashed into the stairs behind him.
"Bang!"
The stairs shattered upon impact, and the elder’s body hit the wall on the second floor hard.
"Thud!"
A large portion of the wall collapsed, and the blue-robed elder became embedded in it.
Looking at the elder who now resembled a piece of wall art, Chu Feng remarked, "Now, that’s quite artistic. Tell your boss there’s no need to thank me. I am Lei Feng, I never leave my name behind when doing good deeds."
The men in black were at a loss for words once again because the elder was a master arranged by their boss; yet, he couldn’t withstand even a single kick from Chu Feng before being sent flying.
"I’m a bit tired, get me some takeout, and make sure not to poison it, or else I’ll turn all of you into wall art," Chu Feng said.
"If you don’t bring any back, I’ll still turn you into wall art," Chu Feng said ominously as the men in black left.
After the men in black exited, Chu Feng leaned on the sofa, not bothering to speculate who had brought him here. In the end, the person behind it all would have to come forward, so Chu Feng wasn’t in a rush at all.
After about ten minutes, the men in black returned with the takeout Chu Feng had requested.
"The taste is a bit off, but it’s still edible. Let the brothers outside come in and eat as well. It wasn’t easy sending you guys off," Chu Feng said.
"Enjoy your meal, Mr. Chu," the man in black said, then turned to leave.
"Let them come in, or I’ll turn you all into wall art," Chu Feng demanded.
With no choice, the man in black had to let his subordinates in.
But they didn’t dare to eat with Chu Feng; they could only stand and watch him eat.
"I eat, you watch, and my story ends," Chu Feng remarked while eating and reciting a nursery rhyme his father Chu Tian had taught him when he was a child.
Of course, by this time, everything in the room had already been seen without fail by someone in another surveillance room.
"Is he really not afraid, or does he have some kind of backup?" a girl with delicate features asked Bai Jiahang as she watched.
