Chapter 500: Chapter 0502: Clan Conference [Part 3]

Chu Feng heard Bai Jiarui’s words and said, "Are you threatening me?"

Bai Jiarui walked up to Chu Feng and whispered so that only the two of them could hear, "If you think that I am threatening you, you can think that way. However, I hope you don’t bring anything out. Otherwise, if you do, there will be some things happening that you won’t want to see."

Chu Feng’s face suddenly changed upon hearing Bai Jiarui’s words, and he reached out to grab Bai Jiarui.

However, halfway through his action, Chu Feng’s hand suddenly stopped in mid-air.

It was clear that Bai Jiarui was doing this on purpose—he was deliberately provoking Chu Feng. As long as Chu Feng made a move, whether he was right or wrong, it would be taken as if he was wrong.

Chu Feng’s stopping in mid-air surprised Bai Jiarui.

Chu Feng said, "Do you dare to look into my eyes and tell everyone whether you kidnapped An Rongrong or not?"

Bai Jiarui smiled slightly and then lifted his head to stare into Chu Feng’s eyes.

But just as he was about to speak, Bai Jiarui’s mind suddenly went blank, with a voice in his head commanding him to tell the truth.

"It was me who kidnapped An Rongrong."

When Bai Jiarui spoke, the first sentence he blurted out was an admission that he had kidnapped An Rongrong.

"You’re being sly, boy!" Taoist Buxie, who was beside Bai Jiarui, saw that Bai Jiarui was acting strange and bellowed out, trying to wake Bai Jiarui up.

But Chu Feng didn’t give Taoist Buxie a chance, his eyes shining with a bewitching light that completely ensnared Bai Jiarui.

"Where have you taken Rongrong?" Chu Feng asked.

"An island fifty sea miles from East River, with a red flag planted on it..." Bai Jiarui said.

"You’re going to pay with your life, kid!"

Taoist Buxie couldn’t let Bai Jiarui continue speaking. He struck out like lightning, reaching for Chu Feng’s neck.

Taoist Buxie channeled his inner strength into his fingertips, making each one as sharp as a chisel that could cut through metal and stone.

His fingers sliced through the air, creating a hissing sound as they rubbed against it.

Chu Feng faced Taoist Buxie’s approaching fingers and threw a decisive punch.

"Bang!"

The punch grazed by the fingers, and the collision of powerful energy and spiritual energy emitted a thunderous roar. The roar couldn’t mask the sound of Taoist Buxie’s fingers breaking.

The sound of the fingers breaking was unsettling to hear. It was excruciating—five fingers snapped simultaneously and were bent back onto the back of Taoist Buxie’s hand.

"Xuan Level Late Stage!"

Fear filled Taoist Buxie’s eyes, and he staggered backwards.

Taoist Buxie couldn’t help but be terrified. It hadn’t been long since Chu Feng’s duel with Sword Obsession. Back then, Chu Feng could only rely on others for protection when faced with him. But now, Chu Feng had defeated him in one move.

This rate of progression was terrifying. He had never considered that anyone could progress so frighteningly fast, perhaps not even the disciples of those legendary sects.

This rate of progression was truly devilish.

"Back then, you chased me around. Now it’s time for me to return the favor, I hold grudges," Chu Feng said.

After a pause, Chu Feng said to Bai Jiarui, "Spill everything you have done, not missing a single word. Zhuang Xinyan, hand him a mike so that everyone can hear."

Zhuang Xinyan walked up to the podium, then took a mike and handed it to Bai Jiarui. Bai Jiarui began to recount how he had planned against An Rongrong and also how he had set up An Wenxing. He spoke of his dealings with the Jin Family, and even revealed how he had replaced Bai Jiahang.

Everyone, both inside and outside the venue, were stunned by Bai Jiarui’s ’confession’.

Meanwhile, outside the hall, in one of the two black Mercedes sedans, a young man listening to Bai Jiahang’s confession remarked, "This Chu Feng is quite interesting, quite skilled. We need to be careful to win him over."

"Young master, should we still go in?" the driver asked.

"No need, let’s head back. There’s no need for us to stir trouble now."

The Mercedes slowly drove away, and as it passed by a commercial van, the young man in the car waved at the opaque van.

He believed that the person inside the van would definitely see his gesture of greeting.

Indeed, the person inside the van had seen it.

The person sitting in the van was none other than Bai Jiahang himself. Having been replaced at the last minute, Bai Jiahang was far from willing to accept this. Thus, he had come here in person; he wanted to see how his ’dear brother’ would manage the situation and was curious to see how this interesting situation would end.

However, this ending was clearly not what he had anticipated. His ’dear brother’ had surprisingly admitted to everything, something not included in his planned script.

"Young master, should we go in and stop this?"

"No need, let him speak. Since he wants to show off, let him have his fill in one go."

"But young master, won’t this damage our Bai Family’s reputation?"

"Would stopping him now prevent the Bai Family’s reputation from being damaged? Moreover, for those who replaced me at the last moment, I think they should see how right their choice was."

"I understand, young master."

Meanwhile, on a small island fifty nautical miles away from East River, flying a red flag,

Zhang Shisan, agile as a spirit monkey, was moving effortlessly amid the rocky island.

In his hands, Zhang Shisan held a portable life detector.

This was the latest technological breakthrough from Dragon Soul. It could search for someone’s whereabouts based on their scent and provide an alert when within one kilometer. This was Dragon Soul’s latest product, and it would not have been available so soon if not for Zhang Shisan’s request.

"Beep beep!"

The instrument promptly sounded an alert, and with a powerful leap, Zhang Shisan jumped nearly fifteen meters. Then, with a few swift moves, he arrived at the entrance of a cave halfway up the island.

"Boom!"

As soon as Zhang Shisan entered the cave, a cloud of blue dust rushed towards him.

Zhang Shisan snorted coldly, his body’s Spiritual Energy surged to disperse the smoke.

Without halting, Zhang Shisan charged into the cave like an arrow.

There was no light inside the cave, but this did not hinder Zhang Shisan in the slightest.

"Whoever you are, I advise you not to come any closer, or else I can’t guarantee that I won’t snap this young lady’s neck," a sinister-looking old man, also wearing cloth shoes and who had kidnapped An Rongrong, threatened with one hand on An Rongrong’s delicate neck.
