Chapter 468: Chapter 469: The Only Hope

Second Aunt picked up the phone, and before she had a chance to speak, she heard a sinister voice on the other end say, "If you want your own son to live, prepare five million, or else get ready to collect his corpse."

"Who are you! Hey, hey!" Second Aunt desperately shouted into the phone, but the other side had already hung up.

Chu Feng naturally heard what was said on the phone, however, Chu Feng would not intervene, nor did he want to get involved.

Relatives like these really didn’t deserve Chu Feng’s help.

"What happened?" Second Uncle frowned and asked.

Second Aunt, upon hearing Second Uncle’s words, snapped back to reality, her tone carrying a sob as she said, "Son... my son has been kidnapped, the other side is asking for five million, or else they told us to prepare to collect his body."

"What!" Second Uncle’s expression changed upon hearing Second Aunt’s words.

The two of them had only one and only son, but this son was a typical profligate.

Second Uncle and Second Aunt had made quite a bit of money following Chu Feng’s elder brother Chu Tian in the past years. Later on, they started their own small factory and lived a somewhat wealthy life, making a few hundred thousand a year.

Their son, believing that the family had some money, dropped out of school early and stayed at home. Thinking he was the second under heaven, he disrespected everyone, whether at home or outside.

Moreover, he was notorious for showing off his wealth and chasing girls around, but this time, it seemed he had finally run into a dead end.

"Could it be someone playing a prank? Call back and ask." Second Uncle was relatively calm and could still analyze the situation objectively.

"It can’t be, the phone call just now was made using my son’s phone, there must really be something wrong with him," Second Aunt said frantically.

Second Uncle said, "Call again, call back and ask. Maybe it’s that rotten kid playing a prank on us."

After hearing Second Uncle’s words, Second Aunt quickly called again, but the other side had already turned off the phone.

"Ring ring!"

Just after Second Aunt hung up, the phone rang again. This time, the call was from a strange number, and Second Aunt hurriedly answered.

"The call just now was made using your son’s phone to tell you that your son is in my hands. Now you can stop doubting the authenticity of this event. Prepare five million or else get ready to collect your son’s body. Remember, do not call the police, if you do, your son will certainly die. In one hour, I will call you. If you haven’t prepared the money by then, I will chop off one of his hands. Then every half hour, I will remove an organ from his body until you gather the full five million," the voice on the phone was cold and cruel, chilling Second Aunt to the bone, her hands and feet going cold.

After the phone call ended, Second Aunt felt darkness before her eyes and collapsed backwards.

Second Uncle, seeing this, quickly supported Second Aunt.

Chu Feng just sat on the sofa, not saying a single word the entire time.

"What’s the matter?" Second Uncle quickly asked.

"We won’t make it, they are asking for five million. If we can’t gather it in an hour, they’ll start to cut organs from my son, until they have all five million. If they really do that, my son will surely die," Second Aunt said, crying.

Second Uncle went pale as he heard Second Aunt’s words. If the kidnappers really did that, their son would certainly be dead.

However, five million was a huge sum for them too.

They could make a few hundred thousand a year, but their yearly expenses were not small, and their son spent a lot as well. They didn’t have five million in savings, and even if they had to borrow, they had no idea where to find such a sum.

"Let’s call the police!" Second Uncle suggested.

Second Aunt, crying, said, "They said if we call the police they will immediately kill him. We absolutely cannot call the police."

Chu Feng, who had been silent up until now, finally spoke, "Okay, I have done all I can by lending you the place to make a call. Now your mother can leave my house. It’s the festive season, and I don’t want anyone crying in my home."

When the two heard what Chu Feng said, it was as if they had grabbed a lifeline.

Second Aunt looked at Chu Feng and said, "Chu Feng, didn’t you say you wanted to know what would count as paying us back in full? Give us five million now, and we’ll leave immediately."

Chu Feng couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh upon hearing Second Aunt’s words.

Cui Jingyan, as an outsider looking on, couldn’t help but sneer continuously too.

To utter such shameless words, honestly, there was no limit to his shamelessness.

"What else do you want? Do I need to help you fish out that bastard?" Chu Feng asked with a cold laugh.

"You have a way?" Second Aunt’s eyes lit up and she quickly pressed him for an answer.

"Even if I had a way, I wouldn’t save a beast," Chu Feng said.

"Who are you calling a beast!" Second Uncle flared up upon hearing Chu Feng describe his own son as a beast, and he lunged towards Chu Feng.

Second Uncle weighed over 200 pounds, stocky and stout, and really didn’t take Chu Feng seriously.

At one point, Second Uncle even thought to himself whether he should kidnap Chu Feng and then demand a few tens of millions from him.

Before coming here, he had already inquired that the villas Chu Feng now lived in were worth at least ten million each.

The one Chu Feng lived in had an even better location, definitely exceeding fifteen million.

Someone who could afford a fifteen million villa must have a net worth of at least fifty million.

However, as soon as Second Uncle charged forward, he witnessed a scene that forced him to stop in his tracks.

Chu Feng twisted a fruit knife from the table into a corkscrew shape with his bare hands.

Chu Feng was actually holding back; otherwise, he would have squeezed the fruit knife into a flat piece of metal.

He just didn’t want to be too shocking in front of others, not wanting to be too noticeable.

"No matter what, you’re still my elder, and I don’t want to commit a great act of unfilial piety. So just get out of my house," Chu Feng said coldly.

Second Aunt also saw this horrifying scene, her eyes widening in shock.

At this point, both of them truly understood that Chu Feng had been toying with them from the start. He had never taken them seriously, nor had he cared about them at all.

Because not only did Chu Feng have money, but he also had power, the power to look down on them.

Second Uncle and Second Aunt were utterly terrified and completely convinced by Chu Feng, but they still stood in place, not leaving. That was because they didn’t know where else they could turn to borrow money aside from Chu Feng.

Over the years, they hadn’t made any real friends, and even the people they could barely call friends couldn’t come up with five million. Chu Feng was still their only hope.
