Chapter 456: Chapter 0457: Befriend an Agent

The office was a mess, one idiot standing still, another passed out on the ground, and one so scared he was about to wet his pants.

"Great, no New Year’s atmosphere because of you guys. Let’s get this sorted fast, so everyone can go back to their own homes, to their own mothers," Chu Feng frowned and said.

"Call your leader now to come get you, then call that Eastern guy over, you’ve got five minutes. If you can’t find anyone, you two will become fertilizer for the flowers. As for you, I’ll hand you over to them." Okay, the timer starts now.

After arranging everything, Chu Feng said, "Let’s wait in the next office, Tong Hu, you keep watch here."

"Sure, Brother Feng," Tong Hu nodded excitedly and then started his dutiful surveillance over the two bastards.

Keeping an eye on Brother Chicken didn’t feel challenging to Tong Hu. But guarding someone from National Security made him feel quite honored.

Tong Hu even thought that this incident would be a story he could boast about to his descendants.

Of course, Tong Hu didn’t know that in the future, the people he would be guarding were many times more important than this minor National Security character.

But that’s a story for another time.

Chu Feng, along with Tang Min and Ning Xiaoman, went to another office. Chu Feng took a seat while the two women stood by the door, seemingly a bit wary of Chu Feng.

"Why are you two standing at the door? I won’t bite. I always thought I was a bit handsome; is my looks scaring you that much?" Chu Feng touched his own delicate cheek and said.

"Narcissist!"

"Big face!"

Ning Xiaoman and Tang Min gave Chu Feng a look and muttered under their breath.

Chu Feng said, "I think I should be more serious, otherwise you two wouldn’t even know who the boss is, who the employer is."

Ning Xiaoman said, "No matter how serious you are, you’re still just a little kid."

"Right! You’re our little brother," Tang Min said proudly.

For the first time, Chu Feng felt frustrated about his age; he was indeed too young. He had just turned twenty after the New Year, and compared to them, he was indeed the little brother.

Seeing Chu Feng’s deflated look, Ning Xiaoman and Tang Min couldn’t help but cover their mouths and giggle. The earlier tension had been swept away entirely.

"Boss, who exactly are you? You seemed really skilled with that gun just now," women are always curious, especially when faced with a man full of secrets, which makes them even more eager to explore.

Tang Min voiced her question, and Ning Xiaoman also looked at Chu Feng with expectation, clearly having her own burning desire to gossip.

Chu Feng said, "I’m 007, a secret agent, a super secret agent."

"Really?" the two women asked in unison.

Chu Feng said, "Could I be lying about this? Standing over there is someone from National Security. What do you think I am?"

The two women exchanged excited glances after hearing Chu Feng’s words.

Tang Min was the first to ask, "Boss, is it fun being a secret agent? Is it dangerous, thrilling? Is it like in the movies, with all the high-tech gear? Do you have something you can show us?"

Ning Xiaoman also looked eager, obviously curious about what exactly a secret agent does.

Chu Feng looked at the two women, who were like curious babies, and really felt overwhelmed.

This wasn’t the script Chu Feng had in mind. In his script, it wasn’t supposed to go this way.

After he spoke, the women should’ve snorted in unison and then accused him of bragging.

Then he could’ve said, "Believe it or not, if you don’t, too bad," and thus smoothly moved past the topic.

And he would’ve saved himself a lot of explanations.

But now, the script was completely different. He had told the truth, and they chose to believe it, and now they kept asking him what being a secret agent was really like.

What should he respond with now?

"You’re not making this up now, are you? If you’re telling us a movie story, we’ll know if it’s real or not," Tang Min said.

Chu Feng said, "I’m thinking about what to tell you because I don’t see anything special about being a secret agent. You’ve both seen me, do I look that special to you? As for the high-tech gear you mentioned, I haven’t seen any yet, but that kid next door might have some. I’ll go search him for you in a bit."

The women were obviously a bit disappointed with Chu Feng’s answer.

Tang Min persisted, "Boss, can you tell us about any missions you’ve been on?"

Chu Feng said, "I can’t talk about that, it’s a state secret. Unless you two are not afraid of being silenced, I could tell you."

The two women visibly shrank back at Chu Feng’s words.

Seeing that tactic work, Chu Feng felt more confident about how to handle this.

"Then tell us something else, something you can talk about," Tang Min continued to press.

Chu Feng said, "What I’m doing now is all state secrets. If I told you, you might get a visit in the night to check your ’water meter,’ only to mysteriously disappear."

The women took Chu Feng’s grave tone seriously and were truly frightened. After all, the sound of gunshots was still ringing in their ears.

"Boss, do you have WeChat, Weibo, anything like that? I’ve never had a secret agent in my social circle. Later, I could share things shared by a secret agent. Just thinking about it is thrilling," Tang Min revived her enthusiasm after a brief calm.

Chu Feng, left with no choice, shared his WeChat ID.

"Boss, I added you, now click accept," Secretary Tang said.

Chu Feng took out his phone and saw two friend requests right away.

"What are you looking at? The other one is my WeChat ID. There’s no secret agent in my social circle either. I want to see what a secret agent’s Moments look like," Ning Xiaoman said with a flushed face, giving Chu Feng a glance.

Chu Feng had no choice but to accept them.

Right after being accepted, both women started to fiddle with their phones, but after a while, they both put them down, clearly frustrated.

"Boss, your Moments are so empty, are you even modern? Don’t you know what WeChat is?" Tang Min complained.

Ning Xiaoman added, "Even if I don’t use WeChat, I still share some interesting stuff. Unlike yours, which is completely barren."

Chu Feng was a bit speechless. He never found sharing Moments that interesting.

Chu Feng did have WeChat, but it was Fan Xiaoxiao who had set it up for him. He had never bothered with it himself.

"Dinglingling!"

Chu Feng’s phone suddenly rang.
