The secretary followed behind Chu Feng, and the two arrived at He Sheng’s room. He Sheng was surprised to see Chu Feng return, especially with the secretary in tow.

"Little Friend Chu, did she come to seek vengeance against you?" He Sheng asked as he looked at the secretary behind him.

Chu Feng said, "No, she told me a story, and I want to check its truth with you, Elder He."

"A story?" He Sheng’s expression changed upon hearing Chu Feng’s words.

Chu Feng nodded and said, "Yes. She told me a story, and I want to know whether it’s true or not—because it affects whether we can continue to work together."

Upon hearing Chu Feng say this, He Sheng’s expression changed again.

"Little Friend Chu, let her tell it," He Sheng finally said.

Chu Feng sat opposite He Sheng and said to the secretary behind him, "Go ahead, let’s all hear it."

The secretary stared intently at He Sheng and said, "Do you still remember Xu Xing?"

He Sheng said, "Xu Hui, I admit I wronged your brother."

Xu Hui, looking at Chu Feng, said, "He admitted it, go ahead, this is what you promised me."

Chu Feng, looking at Xu Hui, said, "He hasn’t finished speaking yet; you are so quick to conclude."

He Sheng said, "Little Friend Chu, if she wants to kill me, let her do it."

Mahjong, upon hearing He Sheng’s words, quickly said, "Boss, you can’t do this; You regarded Xu Xing as your own son. You did nothing wrong to him; on the contrary, he wronged you. He betrayed you, nearly bankrupting you. His death has nothing to do with you. How can you just resign yourself to fate like this?"

"You’re lying! How could my brother ever betray someone?" Xu Hui shouted loudly upon hearing Mahjong’s words.

Mahjong looked at Xu Hui, sneered, and said, "From the very beginning, your brother was a mole sent by others to stay by the boss. His goal was to bankrupt the boss, leaving him with nothing. However, the boss treated Xu Xing like his own son, not only teaching him the Gambling Technique but even preparing to let him inherit his position. But what did your brother do? He continuously betrayed the boss. In that final, most crucial gambling game, he deliberately lost, nearly driving the boss to ruin."

After a pause, Mahjong continued, "Even so, the boss never blamed him. Fortunately, your brother had some conscience and came to his senses at the last moment, telling everything to the boss. Even after knowing everything, the boss still chose to forgive your brother."

"You’re lying! My brother was killed by him! He’s a murderer!" Xu Hui shouted.

Mahjong said, "The boss could kill anyone, I believe, but he definitely wouldn’t kill your brother. Your brother was killed by those who manipulated him. Also, you mentioned the boss sent people to kill you, to eliminate the roots. The boss, having heard your brother’s dying words, sent people to rescue you, not wanting to see his only sister wandering outside.

Unfortunately, we were one step late. Our people were killed by the other side, and you were taken away. Throughout these years, the boss has continuously sought to find you. Every year, he spends a lot of resources searching for you worldwide."

Xu Hui, screaming at the top of her lungs, said, "You lie, deceive; these are all your fabrications. My brother couldn’t possibly be such a person!"

Mahjong scoffed disdainfully, "Impossible? Your brother’s confessions and last words are still with the boss here. If you don’t believe it, listen yourself and see if it’s your brother’s voice."

Chu Feng looked toward the tearful He Sheng and said, "Elder He, please bring it out for us to see."

He Sheng asked Mahjong to bring a bag he carried with him and took out a CD, saying, "This is your brother’s last words; you have the right to see them. Your brother was a good boy, my good son. My only mistake was letting him walk the path of gambling."

Xu Hui’s face turned pale, and her hands trembled as she took the CD.

Mahjong moved a computer over, Xu Hui’s face turned white, and trembling, she inserted the CD into the computer.

Chu Feng no longer needed to watch the content on the computer. From the beginning, he had almost determined that Xu Hui had been deceived. Seeing He Sheng’s anguished expression now only solidified his conviction.

"I want to confront him in person; I don’t believe your words," Xu Hui yelled loudly before turning to run.

Just as Xu Hui turned, she saw her path blocked by Mahjong.

"Are you afraid I will confront my Master?" Xu Hui turned around and questioned He Sheng.

Chu Feng softly said, "He’s not afraid of you confronting your Master. He’s just afraid that once you go, you won’t come back. The moment your Master told you that He Sheng was your enemy, he had already abandoned you. He knew you would choose to die with He Sheng. If you return alive now, do you think he would let you off? If you still want revenge, be smart about it, pretend to be dead. That way, you might have a chance."
