Chapter 347: Chapter 0348 Still Arranging [Part 2]

The old man in traditional attire burst into laughter upon hearing Fan Xiaoxiao’s words.

"Little girl, are you showing concern for me, or are you cursing this old man for being ill?"

Fan Xiaoxiao quickly waved her hand and said, "Grandpa, that’s not what I meant. I’m just worried about you. How about I buy this stone for you as a gift? I think this stone, looking quite smooth on the surface, should contain jade, shouldn’t it?"

The old man in traditional attire laughed even more upon hearing Fan Xiaoxiao’s words, "Stones that are this smooth are often specially treated to deceive you kids."

"What are you talking about, old man? What do you mean by ’specially treated’? What deceiving kids? If you can’t afford to buy it, you shouldn’t ruin my business," the stall owner said, clearly displeased upon hearing this.

Fan Xiaoxiao and her group of beautiful women were not only a delight to the eyes but also obviously wealthy. He had been planning to hoodwink Fan Xiaoxiao and the others into buying the stones, but now that the old man had spoken, how could he continue to deceive?

"Young man, it’s better to be honest when doing business. This kind of thing is a gamble in and of itself. It is really unscrupulous of you to fake it like this," the elderly man said kindly.

"Old man, I don’t need you to teach me how to do my business. How I conduct my business is my own affair," the vendor retorted, somewhat resentfully.

"Kid, when he says to do business honestly, you do it honestly. This stone, it’s obviously been soaked in acid," Ma Hong, an old hand at this, dismissed such tricks as not being up to standard.

"Are you buying or not? If not, then leave and don’t hinder my business," the vendor said, feeling somewhat guilty, for he realized he had encountered an expert.

"Buy! Of course, we’re buying!" Chu Feng suddenly spoke up.

"If you’re buying, then hand over the money," the vendor said.

Chu Feng said, "I’ll take this one; give me a price."

The vendor, upon hearing Chu Feng’s words, said, "This one is ten thousand yuan."

Chu Feng, not even bothering to haggle, said, "Alright! Ten thousand yuan it is."

"Young man, this stone obviously has a fake aspect to it; you mustn’t waste your money just to repay this old man’s favor," the old man in traditional attire said earnestly.

"Old man, you talk too much; this is none of your business. If you say another word, be careful you won’t be able to leave this place," the vendor threatened.

Ma Hong was about to speak, but Chu Feng gestured to him to remain silent for the moment.

"Here’s ten thousand yuan; go ahead and start cutting open this stone for me," Chu Feng said as he handed the money to the vendor.

The vendor happily accepted the money and then began to prepare the stone for cutting.

As the stone skin flew off, the stone about the size of a fist was quickly polished open.

After just shaving off three layers of stone skin, a hint of green mist appeared.

"Does this mean there is green in it?" an excited Fan Xiaoxiao asked.

Chu Feng nodded and said, "Yes, that means there is green."

The vendor, watching all this, began to have doubts in his heart. This was a piece of scrap stone that he had treated himself; how could it possibly contain green?

"Continue," Chu Feng urged.

The vendor had no choice but to keep going, while the old man in traditional attire stared intently at the stone. He too was eager to see what could be cut from a stone that had clearly been treated.

The kung fu was not great, yet another layer of Stone Skin was cut off. Green jade was revealed underneath.

"The water is sufficient, and the color is very pure, it’s High Ice Species Emperor Green. Young man, you’ve got some skill!" The man in the Tang suit, clearly knowledgeable about Jade, commented.

"What do you mean by High Ice Species Emperor Green, boss?" Fan Xiaoxiao asked like a curious child.

The elderly man in the Tang suit was clearly in a good mood, and began to explain these things to Fan Xiaoxiao.

After listening, Fan Xiaoxiao felt a bit confused and directly asked, "Grandpa, just tell me how much this thing can be sold for. I’m more interested in that part."

The man in the Tang suit laughed heartily, then said, "Such a piece, with such pure quality. If it’s carefully crafted, it can sell for at least over a million."

"A million! Ten thousand exchanged for a million, a hundredfold increase in an instant. This stone is insane!" Fan Xiaoxiao’s eyes widened.

At this point, the vendor started to feel the pain too; after all, this was clearly a piece of waste stone he had treated with acid. How could such high-quality Jade appear all of a sudden?

"Let’s just cut this much; I’ll only polish the rest," Chu Feng said.

"Give us the Jade," Fan Xiaoxiao reached out and said.

The vendor, looking at Chu Feng and his companions, who clearly had an accent from out of town, gritted his teeth and said, "I’m not making this deal."

Chu Feng’s face darkened, and he said, "I’ve already paid you, and you’ve taken the money. That means the deal is done. Now you say you’re not doing it, that’s breaking the rules."

The boss set his face and said, "There’s an issue with this stone, I won’t do business with you."

"What’s wrong with this stone?" Chu Feng asked.

The vendor said, "This stone, I treated it with acid. I cheated, so the deal can’t go through, I’ll compensate you triple the price."

After saying this, the vendor started to prepare the money.

"How can you be like this? This piece of Jade is worth at least over a million. You’re only giving us thirty thousand; you’re clearly being unreasonable," Fan Xiaoxiao said, unable to hold back her anger.

The man in the Tang suit spoke gravely, "If everyone were like you, then the jade-betting trade in Yunxi would probably be ruined by people like you. As the saying goes, there are rules to this line of business, and no one should break them."

The vendor’s face showed brazen arrogance as he said, "That’s how it is for me; this is my turf, and what Laozi says goes. Either take the thirty thousand and scram or no one leaves here today."

"Playing this game with Laozi, you’re still too green," Ma Hong said, then swiftly stepped forward, tripped the vendor onto the ground, and snatched the piece of rough Jade Chu Feng had chosen.

"Dare to use force to rob? I see you are really tired of living. Help! There’s a robbery here!" The vendor shouted loudly.

Soon, the people who heard the commotion all rushed over.

One could tell at a glance these were not good people—big and bulky, with bodies covered in muscles.

"What, you want to make a move?" Ma Hong looked at the men with a cold laugh.

"Make a move? Today I’m going to show you outsiders the rules of Yunxi," the vendor said boastfully.

Upon hearing the vendor’s words, Ma Hong snorted coldly and then made a phone call. In less than a minute, more than twenty black-clad bodyguards rushed into the scene.

Although the vendor was shaking inside upon seeing such a show of force, he still didn’t back down and said, "This is Master Miao’s territory. You guys had best be smart about it. Even if you’re tough guys from out of town, you will still need to curl up for me today."
