Chapter 30: Chapter 0030 Wu Di’s Plan
Wu Di nodded, and Liu Tianming picked up the phone.
After hearing the content of the call, Liu Tianming’s complexion turned very ugly.
"What’s wrong?" Wu Di frowned and asked.
Liu Tianming said with an unpleasant look, "Zhang Daqi told us to tone it down and stop targeting Chu Feng. Has Zhang Daqi gone ****ing mad or has water got into his brain, actually speaking up for Chu Feng?"
Upon hearing Liu Tianming’s words, Wu Di’s face turned dark.
It would be very difficult to deal with Chu Feng at school without the help of Zhang Daqi, the dean of instruction.
What Wu Di couldn’t understand was why Zhang Daqi, who had always been trying to please him, suddenly switched sides.
"Alright, stop complaining. There must be something wrong. Go investigate and see what kind of leverage Zhang Daqi has in Chu Feng’s hands, then try to get it too. That way, we’ll be back on a level playing field." Wu Di, the internally designated Family Head, was truly a hundred times stronger than Liu Tianming, a mere lackey, when it came to thinking things through.
Upon hearing Wu Di’s words, Liu Tianming’s flattery came fast and furious, "The boss is the boss, I’ll go investigate right now."
After a pause, Liu Tianming asked, "But boss, how are we going to deal with Chu Feng in these next few days?"
Wu Di sneered, "That muscle freak suffered such a big loss today, do you think he’ll let it go? If I’m not mistaken, he must have gone to call his martial arts gym senior brother. Leak some information about Chu Feng to him and let him go after Chu Feng himself."
The moment Liu Tianming heard this, his eyes lit up, and then, giving a thumbs up, he said, "The boss is brilliant. Even if Chu Feng has brute strength, he definitely won’t be a match for a real expert."
Right away, Liu Tianming went off to do the tasks that Wu Di had given him.
After Liu Tianming left, Wu Di took a deep look at Chu Feng, who was walking alongside An Rongrong, and said, "You’re not worthy to fight me."
Having said his piece, Wu Di left angrily.
The day’s classes ended quickly, and Chu Feng was still packing up his things to leave as soon as five o’clock struck.
Seeing Chu Feng about to go, An Rongrong said, "The college entrance exam is coming up; can’t you stay in school and study properly?"
Chu Feng gave a bitter smile, "I’m not like you, a princess. I have to work hard for my college tuition."
An Rongrong’s beautiful eyebrows slightly furrowed as she said, "You are my bodyguard now. I can have my grandfather pay you a salary, any amount you want."
Chu Feng laughed, "I’m willing to be your bodyguard without pay. It’s too vulgar to measure it with money. Besides, I have promised my boss to keep working there, and you wouldn’t want me to break my word, right?"
After a pause, Chu Feng joked, "You can’t miss me that much just for a few hours apart. Or should I stay over at your place tonight?"
"Go! As if I’d miss you. If you’re leaving, then hurry up!" An Rongrong murmured softly.
Chu Feng laughed, "Then I’m really going now."
"Go quickly! Don’t disrupt my studying!" An Rongrong lowered her head to her book, deliberately avoiding Chu Feng’s gaze.
When An Rongrong looked up and saw that Chu Feng had really left, she stomped her foot in frustration.
But instantly, An Rongrong’s pretty face grew slightly hot, and she muttered to herself, "What’s wrong with me? Could it be that I’ve really taken a liking to him, unwilling to be apart for even a few hours?"
"Impossible! Impossible! How could I possibly fall for such a flirt? This is just concern between classmates!" An Rongrong shook her head, trying to convince herself.
After Chu Feng left the school, he quickly arrived at Golden Cauldron.
Upon reaching the entrance, Chu Feng saw a large ’For Transfer’ sign posted on the door.
Seeing that Golden Cauldron was up for transfer, Chu Feng frowned slightly and then hurried into Golden Cauldron to Cui Jingyan’s office.
Not bothering to knock, Chu Feng pushed the door and entered directly.
The sudden opening of the door startled Cui Jingyan.
When Cui Jingyan saw it was Chu Feng, she couldn’t help but glare at him intensely, saying, "You disappear for a whole day yesterday, and today, as soon as you come, you’re trying to scare me to death. You don’t have to be in such a rush to settle accounts. Here! This is the bank card I prepared for you; it has your thirty million in it, and the password is six eights."
Chu Feng did not take the bank card from Cui Jingyan but placed both hands on the desk, his face serious as he asked, "Why are you transferring Golden Cauldron? Is that bastard Wu Di causing you trouble, or did that bastard Tong Hu come back again?"
Cui Jingyan, looking at the anxious expression on Chu Feng’s face, smiled slightly and said, "Why must it be them causing disturbances? Couldn’t it be that Sister Yan simply doesn’t want to do this anymore?"
Chu Feng shook his head firmly, saying, "Impossible! Sister Yan, I understand you. You’re not someone who gives up halfway. If you didn’t want to do it, you would have stopped years ago. Is it them causing trouble? I can help you."
Cui Jingyan felt warmth in her heart as she looked at the young man before her, and said, "Alright, I won’t tease you anymore. To tell you the truth, since you’ve helped Sister Yan build her own circle, Sister Yan also needs to strive on her own, right? Being a KTV owner, it’s embarrassing even to exchange business cards with someone. Sister Yan plans to sell this place and do something else, something more presentable as a career."
Seeing that Cui Jingyan intended to start a bigger venture, Chu Feng also breathed a sigh of relief.
Cui Jingyan couldn’t help but laugh at Chu Feng’s expression, saying, "Look at you just now, all fierce like you were going to eat someone. What, if Sister Yan stops doing this, were you planning to eat me?"
Hearing this, Chu Feng also felt a bit embarrassed. He did indeed get too worked up just now.
Cui Jingyan wanting to expand her business and aim higher was, of course, the best scenario for Chu Feng. After all, Chu Feng also felt that a small KTV, whether for Cui Jingyan or for his own future, didn’t offer much prospect for good development.
Now that Chu Feng knew the whole truth, he prepared to leave.
"Come back here, you were all fierce like you wanted to devour someone just now, and now you’re ready to walk away? Do you think this place is your home? You owe me compensation for my emotional distress," Cui Jingyan said with a stern look.
Chu Feng shrugged his shoulders and said, "Sister Yan, besides myself, I have nothing left. If you want compensation, then the only thing I can give you is myself."
Cui Jingyan looked at Chu Feng, amused and slightly exasperated, and said, "I can’t believe you’re such a rogue. And who said you have nothing left? Don’t you still have thirty million?"
Chu Feng said, "Sister Yan, you’re planning to start a new venture, and you’ll definitely need money. I’m not in any rush to use that money, so you can take it and use it first."
Cui Jingyan paused at Chu Feng’s words, then asked, "Do you really trust me that much, not afraid that I might swindle you?"
Chu Feng firmly said, "Sister Yan, I’ve said it before, you’re worth much more than thirty million. If you want to take it, then take it. I’ll just consider it a misjudgment on my part."
Looking at Chu Feng’s resolute face, Cui Jingyan retorted, "Little guy, your mouth is getting sweeter by the day. Since you’ve invested thirty million, we should discuss what we’re going to do next, shouldn’t we?"
