Chapter 280: Chapter 0281: Invisibility Cloak

Chu Feng nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders and said, "Why not go and see for ourselves?"

Huang Lan replied, "Right, let’s go take a look. Little guy, wait for me, I’ll join you after I change my clothes."

After changing her clothes, Huang Lan also took Chu Feng’s arm and said, "Let’s go."

"Should we bring this with us?" Chu Feng pointed at the hard drive on the table.

"Hmm," Huang Lan hesitated for a moment, then placed the hard drive into her purse.

Hand in hand, the two left, with Dice’s people already waiting at the door.

The waiter took Chu Feng and Huang Lan to He Sheng’s office and then silently left.

"Elder He, what’s the rush to call us here? Got a delicious lunch cooking?" Chu Feng joked.

He Sheng laughed, "There’s plenty of food and cash on this boat. Little Friend Chu, feel free to ask for anything you want to eat."

Chu Feng said, "Let’s talk about eating later. I think Elder He has called us here for a reason, so let’s get down to business first."

He Sheng gestured to someone behind him, who immediately turned on the big screen, revealing footage of Chu Feng just entering the guest room.

Chu Feng smiled, "Elder He, you’re not going to make me compensate you for the door, are you?"

He Sheng replied, "No. The person you were looking for inside is dead!"

"Dead?" Huang Lan, upon hearing He Sheng’s words, couldn’t help but show surprise.

Chu Feng, however, furrowed his brows. He hadn’t killed the man; he had only sealed his acupuncture point.

"How did he die?" Chu Feng asked.

Mahjong behind He Sheng said, "A master struck his heart with one blow, killing him instantly."

Chu Feng said, "I didn’t kill him."

He Sheng replied, "I know, and that’s why I wanted both of you to come over, to see if there are any other people from your group on this ship."

Chu Feng asked, "Aside from me, who else has entered that room according to the surveillance?"

He Sheng answered, "That’s the real mystery. No one entered the room after you. We’ve reviewed the footage frame by frame, ensuring that no one else went in. And we’ve checked—the room’s windows are intact."

He paused and then looked towards Mahjong, indicating that he should continue speaking.

Mahjong said, "I checked the room. Aside from the footprints of the six of you, there was one very shallow footprint, likely left by the last person to enter. Moreover, the person’s Qinggong skills must be quite formidable. The final footprint was probably left when they exerted force to strike the fatal blow."

Chu Feng’s expression grew serious, "Apart from the footprint, was there nothing else left behind?"

Mahjong shook his head, "Nothing was left behind, and there was nothing found on the surveillance either."

Huang Lan suddenly had a thought, and her expression visibly changed.

"Sister Lan, what did you think of?" Chu Feng asked.

Huang Lan hesitated for a moment but eventually said, "It must be an Invisibility Cloak."

"Invisibility Cloak?" Chu Feng, upon hearing Huang Lan’s words, felt this was somewhat sci-fi.

Huang Lan nodded seriously, "It’s probably Dragon Soul’s latest creation, the Invisibility Cloak. It uses mirror reflection principles to become invisible. Although one can still spot signs if face-to-face, it’s extremely effective in deceiving surveillance because it also emits electromagnetic interference, easily fooling all kinds of monitors."

He Sheng said, "So, does that mean there are friends from Dragon Soul on my ship other than the two of you?"

Chu Feng’s gaze turned cold, "I think, apart from us being your friends on this ship, the rest might as well be enemies."

Hearing Chu Feng’s words, Huang Lan opened her mouth but ultimately chose to keep silent.

Obviously, advising Chu Feng at this juncture would likely have the opposite effect. And this time, Dragon Soul had indeed gone too far.

Not to mention sending her on what seemed like a suicide mission, they even had someone specially monitor her. She wondered if they were checking to see if she was still alive or not.

Hearing Chu Feng’s words, He Sheng also said, "Right. On this ship, apart from our friends from Dragon Soul, everyone else is an enemy."

Chu Feng asked, "Elder He, I wonder if it’s possible to have someone look for this individual? I have some questions for him."

He Sheng nodded, "No problem. I also have questions I’d like to ask him."

"Mahjong, go take care of the arrangements."

"Yes!"

"Little Friend Chu, let’s eat while we wait for news," suggested He Sheng.

"Sure!"

Chu Feng and the others arrived at the banquet hall He Sheng had already arranged, taking their seats.

He Sheng was right; besides cash, his boat had the most abundant variety of foods.

A table full of delicacies, most of which Chu Feng had hardly seen before, awaited them.

"Don’t be shy, both of you. I’m old and need to control my weight, so please help yourselves," He Sheng greeted warmly.

Chu Feng responded, "Then I won’t be shy. To be honest, I haven’t had a meal since yesterday."

Huang Lan, moved by the fact that Chu Feng hadn’t eaten for more than a day on her account, thoughtfully served him a bowl of abalone porridge, "Have some porridge first, then eat something else."

"Thank you, Sister Lan!" Chu Feng took the bowl and slurped it down eagerly.

"It’s great to be young. I can’t manage to eat even if I want to," said He Sheng enviously as he watched Chu Feng enjoy his food.

"Elder He, you’re not that old. With your constitution, you could easily live for another few decades without any problems," Chu Feng remarked while eating a lobster.

He Sheng laughed, "I’d like to live a few more decades, indeed, but there are some who wouldn’t want to see me live so long."

Chu Feng, setting down his lobster, said, "Although I’m much younger than you, Elder He, I, like you, might not care to see certain people live on. However, I believe I can outlive them. I’ve always felt that I’m a scourge meant to last a thousand years."

He Sheng was momentarily stunned then burst into laughter, "Little Friend Chu, that’s not very nice. You’re insinuating that I’m the old scourge here, aren’t you?"

Chu Feng replied, "You’ve got it wrong, Elder He. I was really talking about myself. Although you run a gambling operation, I’ve heard from my master that you have your principles and never engage in iniquitous deeds."

"For Senior Zhang to hold me in such high regard truly flatters me," He Sheng said with a delighted expression.

Chu Feng stated, "Elder He, I think what my master said is right, but there are also inaccuracies. Like how you wronged me, for instance—that’s not right."
