Chapter 275: Chapter 0275: Playing Poker with Poker

Chu Feng finished speaking, and the Old Housekeeper behind him couldn’t help but slightly change color, then said, "If that’s the case, the boss has arranged for me to continue gambling with Mr. Chu. May I ask if Mr. Chu would be willing?"

Chu Feng said, "Willing, of course, I’m willing. If someone is willing to give me money, I’m naturally willing."

"We’ll gamble with poker!" the Old Housekeeper declared.

Chu Feng looked at the Old Housekeeper, knowing he was one of the four great experts under He Sheng’s command, specialized in poker.

Chu Feng nodded, "Okay, but I only gamble at blackjack."

Poker also nodded, saying, "Fine! Each bet starts at one hundred thousand, with no cap."

Chu Feng said, "Good!"

Chu Feng and Poker moved to a different table, then a dedicated Croupier came over to deal cards for the two of them.

"No objections, right?" Poker asked.

Chu Feng said, "I have no objections. I believe your boss isn’t foolish enough to tamper with this."

Poker said, "Let’s start."

The Croupier dealt cards to Chu Feng and Poker. Chu Feng glanced at his own cards, then used his Divine Sense to peek at Poker’s cards.

Chu Feng had twenty points, Poker also happened to have exactly twenty points, and the next card was the two of spades, which meant either of them would bust if they took it.

"I bet on a tie!" Poker was the first to speak.

Chu Feng heard Poker’s words and his heart chilled slightly. Poker indeed had some skills. Chu Feng also slightly smiled and said, "I bet on a tie as well."

Poker saw that Chu Feng also bet on a tie and was taken aback, his wariness of Chu Feng increasing a notch.

"Twenty points, a tie at twenty!"

The Croupier revealed both players’ cards, then showed them to everyone.

Seeing that both had twenty points and still chose to bet on a tie, everyone inevitably engaged in a heated discussion.

With twenty points, anyone else would probably bet on their own win. Yet these two opted for a tie.

The first game ended in a tie; Chu Feng didn’t win, and Poker didn’t lose.

Poker spoke, "Young man, you’re not bad, whether it’s your mindset or your skill; you’re the strongest young man I’ve encountered. If you’re willing to settle now, I can decide on the spot to give you and Miss Huang one billion as compensation."

"Hiss!"

Hearing Poker’s offer, everyone couldn’t help but suck in a cold breath.

Although the people who come here are wealthy, not everyone can just casually throw out a billion.

It was only the first round, yet Poker was willing to offer a billion for a settlement.

Huang Lan heard Poker’s words and her breathing became slightly hurried.

"Sister Lan, what do you think?" Chu Feng turned to ask Huang Lan.

Huang Lan held Chu Feng’s hand and said gently, "I’ll listen to you."

Chu Feng looked at Poker and said, "Sister Lan says she’ll listen to me, so I’m not willing to settle. I’ve said before, once I start, it won’t be that easy to get me to stop."

Upon hearing Chu Feng’s response, Poker’s expression darkened, "Young man, don’t be too ignorant of when to advance or retreat."

Chu Feng chuckled, "Indeed, I am young, but I do know when to advance and when to retreat. I don’t have the magnanimity to forgive those who wrong me just because they apologize."

Poker asked, "What do you want then?"

Chu Feng replied, "When someone bullies me, I must bully them back. After bullying them, I want them to bow their heads and admit their mistake. If they don’t bow, I’ll continue to bully them until they do."

A hint of menace appeared on Poker’s face, "Young man, do you know you’re playing with fire?"

Chu Feng responded, "I know. But if I fail at playing with fire, I’m afraid the whole ship might go up in flames."

Looking at Chu Feng, Poker finally said, "Let’s continue."

The game continued, and Chu Feng won the second round. Unfortunately, his poker cards didn’t follow suit; thus, he only won a hundred thousand.

Indeed, Poker was a master among masters. Although he had lost more than he won over the course of an hour, he had never made a mistake.

Although Chu Feng won more than he lost, his winnings weren’t that substantial. Over the span of an hour, Chu Feng had only won a little over ten million, which was still far from his target.

However, even so, this already caused Poker’s face to look very unsightly. He had never lost like this before—losing over ten million in base bets in just one hour.

The gamblers around were all completely engrossed in the intense battle between the two, every one of them watching with bated breath.

"Young man, I know you’re strong, but if we continue to bet like this, it’s going to be hard to determine a winner," Poker said.

Chu Feng fiddled with the chips in his hands and replied, "So how do you want to play?"

"Very simple," Poker said. "We both blindfold ourselves and stand five meters away from the table."

Chu Feng chuckled and said, "Alright, we’ll play however you want to play. But if you want to play this way, we need to raise the base bet as well."

"How much?" Poker asked.

"A million for the base bet," Chu Feng answered.

Poker frowned but eventually agreed with a simple, "Fine."

Both men left the gambling table and blindfolded themselves with black cloth. This was going to be a pure gamble on luck.

However, for Chu Feng, where he was didn’t really matter, neither did whether his eyes were covered or not.

Seeing that the stakes had been raised, everyone’s tension rose again, especially now that the base bet had increased to a million—losing could become quite thrilling.

Although they were used to spending money like water, they had never seen such a thrilling game of Twenty-One before.

"Since the base bet has been raised to a million, let’s take turns being the dealer," Poker added.

"Sure," Chu Feng agreed.

In the first round with Poker as the dealer, he dealt Chu Feng two cards, totaling nineteen points for Chu Feng.

"Raise five million, and give me another card," Chu Feng stated.

"Two of hearts! Twenty-One!"

At the sight of Chu Feng’s miracle, everyone exclaimed in astonishment.

Hearing the crowd’s gasps, Poker felt sweat forming on the palms of his hands.

He believed that in such circumstances, even if Chu Feng did possess superpowers, it would be impossible to utilize them. This was entirely a gamble on luck. Yet, this youngster’s luck seemed to be a bit too good.

In the first round as dealer, Poker lost six million in one go.

In the second round with Chu Feng as the dealer, Poker had good luck, landing twenty points with three cards.

Now the pressure fell squarely on Chu Feng’s shoulders because Poker had raised his bet by ten million on the third card.

It was Chu Feng’s turn; with two cards, he had nine points. Chu Feng raised five million more and asked for another card, which was a six of spades—now at fifteen points.

"Hold on, I raise a million and cut the first five cards," Chu Feng announced.

"Wait! I raise a million and cut the first four cards!" Poker spoke up as well.

"I raise five million and cut the first twelve cards," Chu Feng declared.

"I also raise five million and cut four cards!"

"I’m all in, cut nine cards," Chu Feng said boldly.

Poker opened his mouth to speak but ultimately held back.

The playing cards were dealt, and Chu Feng received a Plum Flower Five—exactly Twenty-One again—and once more he overwhelmed Poker.

This time, Chu Feng won seventeen million in one go, which was more than he had won in the entire previous hour of play.
