Chu Feng said, "Thank you for the compliment, although you have stated a fact, I still want to thank you."

Having heard Chu Feng’s words, Xinyan Zhuang also revealed a smile and said, "You really are excessively confident. But you are such a bore. I went against everyone’s opinion just to personally invite you to join, and you don’t even give me face. It seems I need to have a serious talk with Sister An."

Chu Feng said, "I think she would be happy to see me not join Dragon Soaring."

Xinyan Zhuang gave Chu Feng a sideways glance and said, "I thought I was dull enough, but you are even duller. Speaking of you and Sister An, you have already achieved that goal, so why haven’t you gone to pick up Sister An yet?"

A tender look appeared in Chu Feng’s eyes as he said, "I have only achieved one of the goals. Rongrong’s place in my heart isn’t as simple as just a goal. If I am to bring her back, I want to do so in a way that leaves everyone with nothing to say, to bring her back honorably and openly."

Xinyan Zhuang looked at Chu Feng and said, "I really am a bit envious of Sister An."

Chu Feng smiled and took another sip of the coffee in front of him.

The two of them remained silent until Chu Feng finished the last sip of his coffee and then stood up, saying, "The coffee is finished, and I have a class this afternoon."

Xinyan Zhuang said, "Are you sure you won’t consider joining? I can make you the vice-president."

Chu Feng said, "Not interested. And if I became the vice-president, your job as the president would become even harder. Considering you are Rongrong’s friend, I don’t want to make things difficult for you."

Suddenly, Xinyan Zhuang smiled and said, "What if Sister An asks you to join?"

Chu Feng said, "I will respect her opinion, but I doubt she will ask me to join."

Xinyan Zhuang revealed a sly look and said, "We’ll see about that."

While Chu Feng and Xinyan Zhuang were having coffee, Jin Yu was also having tea with Wu Di.

"Xinyan Zhuang personally went to find Chu Feng today; it seems like Dragon Soaring will become more lively in the future," Jin Yu said deliberately.

Wu Di did not get angry and replied, "It’s good to have a bit of excitement. I think Brother Jin would hope he joins, wouldn’t you?"

Jin Yu’s expression remained unchanged as he replied, "Just not as urgently as you, Brother Wu."

Time for classes passed really quickly, and a week went by in no time.

To get the tickets for Qi Houbo, Chu Feng also set off to go home.

He casually hailed a taxi at the door and directly gave the driver his home address.

The timing of Chu Feng’s choice wasn’t the best; it was right during the evening rush hour. After covering only a third of the distance, the road was completely congested.

As Chu Feng was listlessly waiting, a glance out of the corner of his eye caught a familiar silhouette.

"What’s she doing here?" Chu Feng muttered to himself, then said to the driver in front, "Master, I’ll get off here."

After saying that, Chu Feng settled the fare and got out of the car.

Chu Feng walked up to the silhouette in a traffic police uniform and said, "Police flower sister, what brings you to perform traffic duty voluntarily today?"

Ye Bingxin, who was on duty, turned around upon hearing Chu Feng’s voice and saw him, saying, "Chu Feng, what brings you here?"

Chu Feng said, "I was planning to head home, but the traffic’s stuck tight. Seeing you, I thought I’d come down and say hello. By the way, why are you a traffic police now? Weren’t you a station chief at the Development Zone Branch before?"

Mentioning this, Ye Bingxin felt a lot of grievances welling up inside her.

Seeing the expression on Ye Bingxin’s face, Chu Feng added, "I’m waiting on the side. Once you’re off duty, let me take you out to eat."

Ye Bingxin had helped him before, and Chu Feng had a favorable impression of her.

After waiting for half an hour, Ye Bingxin finally finished her shift.

"Let’s go, I’ll treat you to a meal," Chu Feng offered.

Ye Bingxin replied, "I have to be back on duty in two hours, so let’s skip the meal. I’ll treat you to a drink instead."

The two of them found a dessert shop not far from there. Ye Bingxin parked her police motorcycle by the roadside and joined Chu Feng inside.

Seeing such a spirited and beautiful female traffic officer, everyone’s gaze was instantly drawn to her.

Chu Feng and Ye Bingxin chose a seat by the window. Chu Feng asked Ye Bingxin to order two ice cream cones and then said, "Tell me about it, how did you end up as a traffic police? Last time you cracked such a big case, even if you weren’t promoted, you shouldn’t have been demoted."

Ye Bingxin opened her mouth several times but finally said, "I think it’s quite nice the way it is now."

Chu Feng said, "Sister Policewoman, by doing this you’re not treating me as a friend. After all, you helped me back in college."

Ye Bingxin replied, "You saved me last time too, so we’re even."

Just thinking about the scene of her last rescue made Ye Bingxin’s face involuntarily flush with embarrassment.

Chu Feng, however, didn’t dwell on that thought, "Alright then. Consider this me helping you one more time, making you owe me again. Mainly because it’s such a waste for someone of your caliber to be a traffic cop."

Ye Bingxin said, "Chu Feng, although I know you have a special status, you can only help me temporarily, and I really feel quite good about my current situation. At least I’m still doing the police work I love."

Looking at Ye Bingxin, Chu Feng responded, "Alright. I respect your decision, but if you ever need my help, just give me a call."

Ye Bingxin gave a sweet smile and said, "Thank you."

While Chu Feng and Ye Bingxin were enjoying their cones, a young man dressed in a suit and looking dapper walked in.

"Oh, look at you, Ye Bingxin. You don’t have time to have a meal when I invite you, but here you are, on duty, with time to eat ice cream and date a Little White Face," the newcomer said arrogantly.

Hearing Du Liqun’s words, Ye Bingxin also stood up and glared angrily, "Du Liqun. This is my off duty time, and who I’m with is my own business. It has nothing to do with you."

The newcomer was momentarily lost for words after hearing Ye Bingxin’s retort, truly unsure of what to say next.

Du Liqun’s expression turned dark as he looked at Ye Bingxin and said, "I can’t interfere with your off duty time, but I think you don’t even want to be a traffic cop anymore. I reckon someone like you should be transferred to street cleaning!"

Chu Feng’s face darkened upon hearing Du Liqun’s words and said, "I don’t care who you are, but you’ve disturbed me now. If you don’t get lost this instant, I can’t guarantee I won’t throw you out."

Du Liqun looked disdainfully at Chu Feng, who was dressed like a student, and said, "You’re just a Little White Face, who do you think you are? Do you know who I am?"

Chu Feng responded, "I don’t know who you are, but I don’t like it when someone points at me. If you want to keep your fingers, you better get out of here right now."
