Chu Feng nodded and said, "Your grandfather truly loves you, but by doing this, he’s also put you in harm’s way. Doesn’t your grandfather know about all of these things?"

"My grandfather is not in good health right now, I dare not tell him about these things. Even when Dad wanted to deal with my cousins last time, I stopped him. I don’t want Grandfather to leave me so soon. If possible, I’d rather not have the inheritance and just have Grandfather alive," Tang Xiaoxiao said.

Xue Yafang said, "Are you really just going to help her with a favor?"

Upon hearing that Chu Feng would come back, Xue Yafang’s mood instantly brightened. She had thought that Chu Feng might leave and not return. But now it seemed that Chu Feng was telling the truth; there was really nothing between him and Tang Xiaoxiao.

Xue Yafang said, "Alright then, I’ll grill some chicken wings for you when you return."

Chu Feng smiled and said, "Great!"

"So, can I borrow the clothes now?" Chu Feng asked.

Xue Yafang replied, "Tang Xiaoxiao and I are very different in size. Mo Yanfang has a similar build to Tang Xiaoxiao—I’ll ask Mo Yanfang to come here."

As Xue Yafang turned around, she suddenly looked back at Chu Feng and asked, "If it had been me who fell into the water, and there were sharks behind me, would you have come back to save me?"

Chu Feng replied, "It doesn’t matter if it were sharks or even whales, I would unhesitatingly come to save you."

Xue Yafang, feeling elated by his answer, said, "I really like that answer. Wait here; I’ll go and get Mo Yanfang to lend some clothes."
