Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Submit Beneath Him

"Y-you... Please, I can’t take it..." I begged, clutching onto him. "Please, Cayden ..."

He didn’t give me the satisfaction I wanted.

"What’s on your mind?" Cayden paused, then cruelly asked, "Are you still looking for a mate?"

I couldn’t think but surrender. "No..."

One fluid movement caused every inch of him to fill me completely. I cried out in pain and pleasure as I relaxed. Letting the rough-thrusting movements of his body fill me was the most intense pleasure I had ever had.

"Oh– goddess," I cried out as Cayden pulled me up onto his lap, still inside me as he kneeled on the bed.

His hands upon my rear end, Cayden brought me down on his shaft over and over again, and the louder I got, the more his lips assaulted my own.

This was different from how Cayden had slept with me before– more intense and erotic.

I could feel the swell of his cock and knew that it wouldn’t go away until Cayden emptied himself inside of me.

I didn’t want him to stop, though. I wanted every single part of him to stay with me at this moment. I wanted all of it, always.

I felt the intense buildup within me once more as Cayden hit the sensitive spot inside me over and over again. "Oh– I can’t–"

"Cum for me, Tori... Scream for me," Cayden ordered.

His command sent me over, and I sobbed in pleasure as Cayden moaned, spilling his seed within me, holding me tight against his body. The jerking pleasure of his member within me caused me to gasp.

I was breathless and panting against him. My eyes slowly opening, I found him staring at me with a look I didn’t recognize. A small smile crept upon my lips as he pulled me down upon the bed with him, waiting for the swelling of the knot to disappear.

My head rested against his chest in the position we held, and even though it was different than before, I liked it.

I found myself not as scared of him as I once was – in fact, I was captivated by the way he could be.

"Did it hurt?" Cayden asked, breaking the silence between us.

I blushed. "No."

"Good," Cayden replied before looking toward the ceiling.

As the knot dissipated, Cayden slid himself from me, and I thought he would be quick to leave.

Instead, Cayden lay next to me for a moment before sliding to the edge of the bed and making his way toward my bathroom.

Then I sat up, curious as to what he was doing. When the sound of running water flowed from the room. I saw him walk back, his member hanging freely between his legs as Cayden headed toward me.

I was completely confused. ’What’s he doing?’

But I didn’t bother to ask. I let Cayden pick me up from the bed and carry me to the bathroom before setting my feet upon the floor and walking into the shower with me.

The hot water on my skin felt amazing. I didn’t understand what was happening, but I didn’t want to say something and ruin the moment, so I allowed Cayden to do as he pleased.

His hands brushed over my skin with a wet rag and soap as he washed every inch of my skin. His fingers danced around my core longer than I expected, and a gasp of sensitive pleasure left my lips as his fingers played with my clit just a little longer.

I couldn’t help but look at him as a flicker of a smile crossed his face. I wanted so badly to know what was running through his mind, but as quickly as it was there, it disappeared.

Cayden shut the water off, stepping out and wrapping a towel around us both.

I walked slowly back towards the bed, and climbed onto it. Cayden was one step behind me the whole way there until I was settled in the blankets. He pulled them up, tucking me in.

"Get some rest, Tori," Cayden ordered, but his hoarse voice sounded so gentle. He brushed his fingers over the top of my head before turning the light off and walking toward the door.

I didn’t want him to go, but I knew I shouldn’t ask for more.

Little by little, Cayden was changing the way he acted toward me. Perhaps it was because I was going to be carrying his child.

In my wildest dreams, though, I hoped it was something else.

I wanted more than anything to understand, but perhaps relishing the moments was better than trying to decipher everything Cayden did.

Waking the next morning, I lay on the soft sheets of my bed. His scent still lingered, even after his long absence.

Memories flooded my mind of the way he touched me – the way he kissed me. I was enraptured with the feeling of him upon my body, and I knew that the sinful thoughts shouldn’t be there, but I couldn’t help it.

I didn’t want them to stop. Running my fingers across my lips, I closed my eyes and smiled before slowly pulling myself from the bed.

Cayden had acted differently last night... It seemed so much differently that bedding me might be more than just a job to him.

Looking through the large closet adjacent to my bed, I pulled on a denim blue dress and matched it with a cute pair of white panties.

And the white sneakers Kas had given me the week before seemed more appropriate with my outfit choice than sandals or heels– not to mention more comfortable.

Pulling my long hair up into a ponytail, I left my room, heading down the stairs towards the kitchen.

Kas had invited me for breakfast, and I was looking forward to our morning chats before I set about finding a way to occupy my time.

Turning the corner, I spotted her tall, slender figure perched upon a bar stool, sipping on a cup of coffee. Her hand rested against her temple, and there was a frown upon her face.

"Kas, are you okay?" I asked with a concerned stare.

Her eyes looked up to meet my own, and Kas smiled. "Yeah. I just drank too much last night."

"You did?" I asked, not remembering her drinking that much at dinner.

"Yes, I had my own party after you left last night, and now I am suffering," Kas replied.

A chuckle left my lips as I moved towards the large array of food. I picked up a muffin and some fruits to start my day off with a glass of juice. I was rather ravenous this morning.

When I took my place next to her, I heard the soft voices of Cayden’s guests walking our way.

I kept my eyes low, not wanting to meet their gaze. The sound of their feet against the floor as they entered the kitchen drew me closer to Kas, and she looked up from her coffee at me when she felt my movement.

I watched her eyes dart towards the newcomers, and a smile play across her lips.

"Good morning, Sophia. I hope you both had fun and slept well last night." There was amusement in Kas’ tone, and I wasn’t sure what she was up to.

Sophia looked utterly drained. Last night, her plan had failed yet again, and Cayden had barely acknowledged her existence.

"Looks like Sophia’s dream of marrying into Cayden’s family is on hold for now," Kas said smugly, sipping his coffee. "She’s so dejected. Good thing you held your own. She only set you up last night to humiliate you in front of everyone."

"Maybe her disappointment’s driven her a little crazy," I replied, glancing at him.

"Even so, it’s no excuse to go after others like that," Kas muttered.

A short while later, Cayden and Jace came downstairs. Sophia immediately rushed to greet them.

"I heard your sister Caroline is coming back soon. Why haven’t I seen her yet?" Sophia asked, her voice overly sweet.

Cayden’s expression hardened, barely containing his anger. I wasn’t sure why and instinctively turned to Kas for an explanation.

"Sophia’s an idiot," Kas whispered, leaning toward me. "What a stupid question to ask. On any other day, Cayden might not have reacted, but he just got word that something happened to Caroline on her way back. He’s already on edge, and her words were like rubbing salt in the wound. He almost lost it."

"What happened to his sister?" I asked, but before Kas could answer, Jace stepped forward, gently clapping Cayden on the shoulder. He quickly cut off the moment, steering the conversation back to Sophia.

Jace smiled at Sophia and said, "The ball last night was for your benefit, wasn’t it? Why does it matter if Cayden’s sister wasn’t there?"

"And anyway, that’s an internal matter. You don’t need to concern yourself with it," Jace added, his tone polite but firm.

It was like a slap to Sophia’s face. Her expression darkened even further, and even her maid Joy looked embarrassed for her.

Kas stood silently to the side, watching it all unfold with the air of someone enjoying a show. I stayed quiet, observing the scene.

Just then, one of the guards entered, announcing that Cayden’s car had arrived and asking if he wanted to head out.

Sophia exhaled in relief, clearly hoping to salvage the situation.

Jace interjected before she could say anything. "Thank you, Sophia, but we’re just leaving."

With that, Jace gave her a polite, gentlemanly bow before escorting Cayden out of the villa.

Sophia stood under the eaves, the shadow barely covering her. Her smile was sharp and cold, with a faint hint of malice curling at the corners of her lips.
