Ragnar equipped the random reward card, which came in the form of a small rectangular card in a soft blue color. In the dark, it emitted a gentle glow.

’It looks so ordinary and unique at the same time,’ Ragnar thought, ’Let’s see what it holds.’

He snapped the card in two.

The moment it snapped, the card disappeared.

Ragnar’s eyes widened seeing the amount of experience points he had obtained from the card.

Ragnar felt a warm feeling shrouding his body for a few seconds. After the sensation elapsed, Ragnar felt different.

Ragnar felt a noticeable increase in his perception as he observed his fairly lit room. He easily spotted a mosquito flying several meters away from him, something that was impossible a few minutes ago. This was all thanks to the increase in his spirit attribute.

At the same time, he felt a surreal feeling of strength, one that he had never felt before.

"T-this," Ragnar could not believe what he was feeling at this moment, "This is what it feels to reach level 3, haha! I can’t wait to see what level 5 feels like, what level 10 or even a hundred feels like!"

A smile blossomed on his face, with this much strength, he was sure taking care of the goblins would be a lot easier.

"My physique has experienced the most growth, seconded by agility," Ragnar noted, "When I have time, I would use the magic gem to increase my spirit attribute."

Ragnar closed his character status and proceeded with the other task he set to do this night — Checking out the new skill scrolls!

Not wasting time, he opened his inventory and took out the three skill scrolls, two basic-grade ones and one common-grade.

The difference between the two grades was quite visible — The basic-grade looked very basic while the common-grade had a soft glow.

"I already planned to share one basic-grade skill scroll with Noah and equip the other one for myself," Ragnar murmured as he observed the ordinary-looking basic-grade scrolls on his left hand.

He turned his eyes to the common-grade scroll in his right hand, and a grin appeared on his face: "Just what kind of skill can be found in a common-grade skill scroll?"

Ragnar placed the two other scrolls on the bed and prepared to activate the common-grade one.

He used a tiny bit of his new strength and tore the scroll apart. Just like the first time, a faint glow that only covered a small area erupted from the torn part and then it disappeared.

He stared at the other skill scroll lying on the bed and became a little bit tempted to try it out.

"Nah, I have to keep to my promise," he sighed and stored the skill scroll in his inventory.

Ragnar observed his character status one more time before lying on his bed and falling asleep quickly.

The next morning quickly arrived, Ragnar woke up early, washed himself and set out of his hut for the day.

"Ragnar, you are awake," Kendrick was standing at the door.

"Big brother Kendrick, good morning," Ragnar greeted and asked, "How long have you been waiting here?"

"Only a few minutes have passed since I arrived. I heard from old man James that you guys trained pretty hard last night, hope you had a good sleep."

Ragnar and Kendrick struck up a short conversation.

"The other scouts and I stayed close to the storage house last night, and we indeed spotted the monsterborn you mentioned earlier," Kendrick revealed.

A frown quickly appeared on Ragnar’s face as he recalled warning them about the storage house yesterday.

Kendrick understood his thoughts. He smiled and explained, "Do not worry, we are scouts and we know how to find good hiding spots. The monsterborns did not see any of us."

Ragnar’s frown deepened, "Monsterborns? Are they more than one this time?"

Kendrick nodded, causing Ragnar’s expression to twist furiously, ’Those fucktards!’

"There were two of them this time, the one you guys saw and another one with a weird ability."

"What ability?"

"Well, I can’t really explain but it seems it has a storage unit in its stomach, it was able to swallow a large sack of food."

"Huh?" Ragnar was confused, "What kind of ability is that?"

"We haven’t confirmed yet but it doesn’t look that strong like the flying one," Kendrick answered.

He also told Ragnar about how the two monsterborn flew around the hamlet for sometime before performing their heist. This only confirmed Ragnar speculation that the monsterborn are trying to cover their trail and keep their identity hidden.

This only leaves Ragnar with a single question — Why would the gang try to hide themselves if they are that strong?

Unfortunately, he had no answers for it.
