Building My Guild With A Blank Scroll -
Chapter 92: Beast Human–4
Chapter 92: Beast Human–4
"Melis, here I’m done— phew!" Clara said, as she dropped a large scroll with a map on it before her.
Currently, they found themselves in what one would call a soul space. An entirely blank white space, which seemingly had no end or a beginning. In this space were the souls of a human and a beast.
Clara, in a white gown laid frontwards on the ground with her legs up in the air. While beside her, a snow furred lioness a ton of times larger than her yet appeared as a that of a K-9 could be seen.
"Growl..." A lazy growl came from Melis as she slowly raised her head to whatever the other had placed there
"I know, I know. But I can find it okay. See, the most definite area is obviously the garden." Clara stated, her hand moving around the map. "So you know our little escapades and sneaks around— alright in some parts of the mansion. Well, we made progress and guess what?"
"Growl..." Melis seemed unexpectant of whatever it was being helpful.
"Ugh, I’ll tell anyways cause I found it!"
"Growl?!" Melis shot up onto her feet, her eyes wide open in shock.
"I knew you’d be happy because I’ve found a way out of the mansion! Yay!" She said excitedly, the other not taking it in the same manner as she fell back on her face— disappointed once again.
"Hey, it’s not that bad. It’ll make exploring the gardens easier and we’ll find it in no ti—" She suddenly froze, Melis also rising to her feet with her teeth barred as a gluttural growl could be heard.
"It’s— it’s— it’s him! It’s him!" Clara began to move again, standing to her feet and stretching out her arms.
"Leave it to me, I’ll handle this." She assured as a pair of dark rings appeared on both hands, legs and around her head.
Upon hearing her words, Melis stared at her tilting her head to get a better look at who she was looking at. For her face said one thing, "You? Are you seriously cubbing me?".
*CRACK—CRACK!
Chewing was heard as a figure walked through the room, he was close to the wall and he was Kaleb Elmore.
Swallowing whatever he had in his mouth, patterns suddenly began to form on his eyes. They were runes, and with an infusion of his aura— he could see the walls in the room, glowing with a blue hue.
"Sound Devouring Runes as expected of her." Suddenly, with the rare they appeared first, the patterns on his eyes faded away also.
"Brother..." Movement was heard, as a feminine voice spoke.
"Ah, so you did escape as I thought." Kaleb grinned as he spoke, seemingly amused.
"No, I can exp—" She barely said anything when the figure a distance away had move. Suddenly he was before her, and without even noticing when. She felt her breathing affected for a split second as she was raised by the neck and—
*BOOM!
*BREAK!
*CRASH!
Kaleb had power slammed her into the bed, completely wrecking it up.
"I return after days and this is what I receive!! You killed my men, men I’m running short on now!!"
"I–I–I am so—sorry brother..." Clara mumbled, laying back there in the rubble, bruised all over and probably bleeding.
"Come here!" He went for her hair and pulled her up by it. "You want to stay in her right, let’s kill that beast then."
"No, no— you can’t. Please don’t, please. Melis stop! Don’t come—"
*SLAM!
He slammed her face on a nearby table, as the next second growls could be heard.
"Hah! And I was wondering where the bloodthirsty beast, was after seeing a dummy down there."
*GRRRR!!!
"Growl all you wan—"
"HEY THERE LITTLE DOVE!!"
Kaleb suddenly froze, staring down into the beastly eyes of the other and trying to process everything it just said.
*PFFFT!
*HAHAHAA!!
"Was that meant to be offensive, I can’t believe you only learned this— hah! Melis, you’re the worst teacher to ever exist—hahah!"
"GRRR!" She barred her teeth at him, drooling as she did. When unexpectedly, he saw a hand coming at him as he continued in laughter. Few inches away, he sensed it yet it was too late to pull back.
*SCRATCH!
"Argh!!" The attack had got him, the side of his neck now bleeding. As without a second thought, he stepped back holding onto his neck. The cut sending a sharp and burning sensation through him, he groaned with his hand searching the tabard he wore.
"I’ll kill you, Melis. I’ll kill you and that bloody beast of yours." His focus on finding whatever it was, Kaleb finally pulled out a small wooden box and opening it a set of pills could be seen.
"Haa..." He exhaled with relief, as the pain and cut disappeared after taking one of the pills. Having his gaze up, his pair of obsidians moved down towards the table when it suddenly widened up.
"Bloody Bea—"
*GRRAW!!
Without being given a chance to act, she launched up with all fours from and towards him. Loosing his balance as she collided into him, he was sent crashing down the next second.
*ROARRRR!!!
She let out a roar, not comparable to a true beast’s own yet effective in doing exactly what she wanted.
"Argh!" Kaleb winced, recovering from the fall when the weight on him and dripping liquid drew his attention.
"What—what is that?" Staring down at him and drooling, nothing about her had caught his gaze like fingers. For it wasn’t nails he was seeing anymore, but rather sharp beast claws.
"No, get off me! Get off me!!" The fear on his face was priceless as she couldn’t help but smile, saying the only thing she knew he’d understand.
"Hey there, little dove!"
*SWISH—SLASH!
*ARRRHHGH!
Kaleb screamed out loud, a heavy slash hitting his chest and drawing blood. ’Darn it, after all the energy I manipulated there!’
Not wasting time, his hands went to his sides in search of something. ’Can’t believe going berserk was possi—’
*SLASH!
The claw came back down at him, a part of his tabard being ripped with his bare skin now exposed.
Biting hard on his tongue, he did his best to bear the sheer pain as finding it was of higher importance.
"Where’s it! Where’s it!" He was desperate now and without time to breathe as the claws came again.
*SLAS—SLASH—SLASH!
*SLA—SLA—SLA—SLA—SLASH!
Blood splattered everywhere with each slash, as Kaleb laid there unmoving. He wasn’t dead, yet his pair of obsidians were much darker. For his entire attention were on his fingers, which moved further down trembling. With each slash, the trembling worsened until it slid into a part of his tabard.
*SLASH—SLASH—SLA!
*GRRR?
She paused as something had caught her eye, although Kaleb still looked bloodied and half-dead. She could swear he’d moved his hand to his mouth just now. Yet unable to confirm, she went to resume her brutal slash.
For as her claws came down at the same time, they suddenly stopped with a sharp pain shooting through her.
*GRRAARR!!
"Melis, what’s happening?! What’s happening?! Give me control, hey!"
Growling in pain, her eyes came down with her gaze landing down on a pair of flaming ones.
"Let me in!" The rings as if hearing her words, disappeared from the beast to her.
"I’ll rip you apart! I’ll rip you apart!" Kaleb kept on mumbling, his hands grabbing onto hers. For she could feel the pain yet nothing had attention done what she looked at.
’What did she do to you brother? Please forgive me, please forgive me.’ Tears filled her eyes as she looked at the gush on his chest.
"Brother...let me...let me heal you...let me...argh!" Suddenly, she felt a pull which brought her down and now face to face with him.
"Melis, you’ll wish you’d never been born a Re—"
"I already wish that, now let me heal you."
"Hah! Mother wouldn’t recognize your body, I can promise you that—hahaha!"
"You’re not listening to..."
*CRACK!
*GULP!
Kaleb bit on something in his mouth.
"Call out that bloody beast of yours, I’ll show it what a true berserk is like."
’No! No! You didn’t just...’ The fear and worry on her face was evident.
"You’re hurt! You’re hurt!"
*SHRSTTTT— BOOM!!
*ACK!
She was blown away, smashing into the wall and sliding down.
"Argh, my head, everywhere hurts."
"Bring it out."
"Huh?" She could hear someone approaching. "No...its not worth it... Please... please... please." Her breathing was fading, for her body only grew weaker by the second.
"I said bring it out!!"
"I...I—I..." She was out for a second and looking at him in the next, growling.
"That’s more like it— NOW DIE!!!"
*GRRRR!
