Chapter 55: Interrogation part 1
"We are grateful master for your praise," Ron said, bowing his head to Aric. "Now if I may ask master, who are those goblins," Ron asked, he knew every goblin that lived here, and those two were not from here.
"Well, we kidnapped both of them while we went to scout out enemies. I need to get some information out of them." Aric said.
"Do you need our assistance?" Ron asked. Aric paused for a bit, and then nodded, "I do, please pick them up and follow me." Aric said.
He headed in the direction of the goblin house, he pushed the door open, and walked in. Ron, Gunam, and Lucas walked in as well with Gunam and Lucas carrying the goblins.
They placed them against the wall in a seated position.
"Shut the door," Aric said, he sat down as well and watched the goblins. Their paralysis would soon fade and they while be able to move, but their ears and eyes were still functioning, they could see and hear Aric.
"I understand that you can still see me and hear me, so I’ll make a few things clear before you can finally move.
I want to ask questions about your home and the beings inside. I want you to answer as truthful as possible, as it will save us a lot of stress.
The war that you and your people are bringing to us, is going to cause a lot of issues for me, and I don’t want that, so I want to find easier and faster ways to deal with the threat before it grows, and you are my ticket to doing that." Silva said, making himself as clear as possible.
When he was done, he leaned back and waited for the effect of his spell to finally wear off. After a few more minutes, their limbs began moving little by little, they slowly got their control back.
When the effects fully wore off, the goblins didn’t jump up or try to run, they understood the gravity of the situation that they were in, and if they made any rash decisions, they would pay for it.
"I’m guessing you are fully free from the paralysis now, so let’s start by you telling me your name," Aric asked.
"We do not have names." The goblin seated on the right spoke without hesitation.
"I see, no no one has bestowed on you your true names yet, but you seem to serve someone, why hasn’t he given you a real name?" Aric asked, but they both fell quiet, not uttering a single word.
Aric smiled, leaned in forward, and spoke, "Let’s not have this back-and-forth tussle. I understand that place is your home and you don’t want to reveal their secrets, but take a look around you.
You are far from home, a place where they can’t save you or help you at all." Aric said.
"It doesn’t matter what you say, we can’t help you, we would rather risk death at your hands than anger him.
He is capable of destruction beyond our understanding, and he will come for you and destroy this place." The one on the right spoke again.
"Why does your response seem controlled, like something is telling you what to say," Aric said, he scanned the goblins with his eyes until he spotted something that he had missed before.
There was a small blue crystal embedded in their necks, something told him that was not supposed to be there.
"Master, what do we do if they don’t want to speak, do we torture them?" Ron asked.
"No, not yet. When I spoke to Unara and Hexorin, they told me about the forest terror, and they said it was a being that controlled beings.
There are a few types of control, forced control, voluntary control. Sometimes the lines may blur and you don’t know which is which. But I do have a feeling that these goblins are forced to obey." Aric said he stood up to his feet, approaching the goblins.
He bent down in front of one, looking at him eye to eye. "Don’t try to attack me, you’ll die before you can," Aric warned and then stretched out his hands to the side of the goblin’s neck.
His finger tapped on the crystal, and the goblin jerked, he shot Aric a death stare, a warning to stay clear.
Aric didn’t regard his warnings, he forced his finger into the neck, trying to rip out the crystal, immediately, the goblin leaped at Aric claws and teeth out, ready to rip Aric apart.
Aric had expected something like this, so he reacted fast, he pushed back, dodging the initial dive, and then he planted his feet to get his balance back.
He stretched out his hands grabbed the goblin by the neck and pulled him closer, using the momentum of the pull, he flipped the goblin over, slamming the goblin on the floor.
The goblin bounced off the floor, Aric tuned, used his feet, stepped on the goblin, and pushed him to the ground harder. In just less than three seconds, he had dealt with the goblin.
The second goblin saw what they did to his brother, and fear gripped his heart, he got up and tried to make a run for it, but Ron and Gunam moved.
The two of them attacked from two angles, confusing the goblin on where to go, without any choice, the goblin decided to try himself in a battle of strength against them and push through them.
Sadly, Ron and Gunam were not about to play fair, immediately they got within a good range, and Ron threw a full-powered punch. The goblin didn’t expect that they would attack, he felt that would only try to stop him.
Seeing the punch coming, he had to react as fast as he could, he raised his arms into a boxing stance to block the fist. The punch connected with his arm, his arms jerked back from shock and so did his whole body. The area the punch connected to instantly turned deep red.
The goblin gritted his teeth in pain, his face contorted into one of someone trying to fight the pain. Gunam took advantage of that distraction and tackled the goblin.
He dove at the waist level, his shoulder slammed into the body of the goblin, picking the goblin off the ground and slamming his head into the floor, followed by his entire body.
