Bro, I'm not an Undead!
Chapter 1558: I Think I’ve Had Enough Of You

Chapter 1558: I Think I’ve Had Enough Of You

Kintar’s feat just now had taken Uyuniya and Sila by surprise. The alien knew it wouldn’t be the last time the not-so-dwarf would surprise Rias with her powers, though, and she counted on it. Sila calculated the same while donning a smile.

’No wonder, tomato flinger,’ he thought. ’No wonder.’

Rias let out a harsh breath and countered Uyuniya’s sword slash by releasing a burst of Amras to push against its edge, making it bounce back. But as he did so, a blow from the alien’s Broader Existence hit him in the chin... again. When he reeled, Sila came flashing from his flank, throwing a volley of jabs that were meant to abuse the masked man’s ribs. Six landed perfectly, but then Rias leaped high, spun and rained down an axe kick on Sila’s head while sending another jet of Amras to smash into Uyuniya’s gut.

Sila ducked away from the kick and Uyuniya deflected the Amras blast with her sword. The short space between both of them backing off and them resuming their attack was a benefit to Rias, who prompted his technique conduit to release something else from its wide mouth.

Six creatures – giants – fell from it and surrounded him. They looked the same as the Undead summons from just before, but they were much stronger. Each of them were on the precipice of Divine strength. They didn’t waste time lunging at Sila and Uyuniya, and as they did, Rias reinforced the Undeath energy flaring from them.

’Pseudo Death Knights should do the trick,’ the young masked man thought.

It was a plausible thought.

There were classifications amongst undead minions, both official and unofficial. Official summons were important as collections for Liches, and the very least among them all, was the Death Knight. Planet ploughs, as some of the chattier Liches called them.

Rias had just summoned creatures that were only a touch away from such strength. They were to be Sila and Uyuniya’s opponents, and they were fearsome – violent, as well.

Right before a huge bayonet from one of the creatures reached the latter, however, she glanced to her left, where Kintar was grinning.

...Then it happened again!

All six Undead creatures were suffused with a radiant light and they disappeared without a trace.

...!!!

Rias hadn’t expected it, but this time...

’I see now. Tricky little wench.’

He might have figured out Kintar’s trick, but he couldn’t have predicted what came next.

Uyuniya shot her shot. Her greatsword disappeared and a Bare Guise flashed over her face; her powers grew exponentially as a result. She was suddenly on Rias, his left hand caught under tightly her arm. She then forced her elbow into his chest which he had just healed after Sila blasted it with his palm, and before Rias could even react to the blow...

"Void Clot!"

Aigas unravelled around Uyuniya, creating a dark blotch that followed around her, breaking the world’s canvas. The alien didn’t lay off. She shoved Rias just as he attempted to reinforce himself with Undeath energy. When he skidded back, she flashed forward, catching up, and threw a fatal straight punch into his face.

The impact was atrocious. The young masked man was sent flying across the country.

He spun several times, blood flooding from behind his mask (which had a fearsome integrity).

Uyuniya was catching up by the time he planted his feet on the ground. When he saw her coming, he bolted east of her, accelerating until he was faster than light. When she made a turn, following after him, he also turned so that they could meet in the middle.

Before they could collide, however, Rias’ conduit appeared above. Its cheeks inflated and spat out a dark red membrane at the young masked man that completely enveloped his outline. It was Undeath energy he’d further refined for better reinforcement. It was quite on par with his Amras, but he could wield it better.

When Uyuniya came charging like a bull, her eyes cold, he crossed his arms before him and focused the Undeath energy around them. After a quick block for whatever she threw, he planned to follow up with a counter.

"Ignorant fool!" Uyuniya cried, even though she and Rias couldn’t understand each other.

In that moment, the masked man might have understood her.

He had underestimated the Void User.

His arms, and his Undeath energy might as well have been as thin as the air. Uyuniya’s Void Clot empowered punch blew through them both with a horrific force.

...!!!

When the alien pulled out her arm from his chest cavity, Rias sent a hundred crows flying out of his technique conduit, aimed at her back. He had to get away.

However...

"How stupid can you get?" Kintar came flying, leaving afterimages in the air as she substituted her body amongst the millions of mana organisms she had created. It almost looked as though she was everywhere.

With a single activation of her Absolute Magic, Infinitesimal Division, she made the crows vanish. This god-like magic could divide objects or organisms with similar characteristics and properties amongst themselves leaving behind... zero. Rias had figured that was what Kintar was doing to his summons, but it was easier said than done countering that immediately.

’That insufferable—’ He didn’t get to finish the thought.

A flash of light crashed into his face, and a blast of genuine Divine energy sent his head flying back. As disgruntled as Rias was, he couldn’t have imagined that this was an attack from Kintar.

Instead of Strength as a stat, Skullius had replaced that with Expanded Vision-Based Torsion on the Unlimited Star’s body. In short, Kintar could land any form of physical attack – a punch, a kick, or tackle – simply by looking at her opponent. In this case, she paired that with the mana she borrowed from Sila.

Right after the blow, Uyuniya swept against Rias’ legs, making him spin and drop to the ground. The masked man clicked his tongue and rolled to the side just in time to avoid the devilish punch Uyuniya threw down at him.

If Aigas had a core, the force of the punch might have reached it while dismantling the world’s crust. Rias didn’t avoid punishment for long. When he found his footing, Uyuniya was already upon him. She snatched his newly restored arm when he attempted to guard his head, pulled it down, and jabbed him in the face sixteen times almost simultaneously.

...!!!

Rias reeled.

’That...’

That attack hadn’t hurt at all, but... why did he feel his connection to his technique waver?

Not only that. Why did his body seem paralysed?

When Sila came speeding towards the masked man’s right flank and grabbed his face to slam him back hard into the ground, Rias’ legs had refused to move!

And when he was downed, Uyuniya came down on him like a giant, her fist carrying hopes and dreams of demise.

This spelled trouble for Rias, but he had a way out. Literally.

His conduit, its mouth pointed at the ground, released a shuttle of red light that highlighted everything in sight. Then a door opened behind Rias. It was seamlessly melded into the dirt. It swung upon because of Rias’ weight and the young man fell back into the void it revealed right before Uyuniya obliterated everything in sight, causing the entire continent to push back against the ocean under it.

The young masked man appeared elsewhere, almost six kilometers away from the enemies.

’That woman is unlike the Void User I fought before. Hmph. Of course, she’d turn out to be that man’s ally,’ he thought while turning his arm this way and that. His body was working just fine now. ’It’s true that Voided Death is stronger than Undeath, I guess. But I didn’t think a Divine on a similar level to mine would outclass me so greatly. What is that ability she used on me?’

His eyes scrolled to Kintar’s inbound creations. She too was coming for him along with the other two.

"I’ve just about had enough of you. You don’t belong here..." he said in a voice that Kintar most definitely heard. She cackled.

But then the masked man pointed at his conduit in the sky.

"Aimon. Don’t keep me waiting any longer."

And the masked man’s technique heeded. His agency and urgency prompted its remarkable response.
