Bro, I'm not an Undead!
Chapter 1555: So Fucking Glad

Chapter 1555: So Fucking Glad

Nigerra’s guard had risen like the morning sun. She realised then that unlike Yuyui, Kintar wasn’t someone who could be goaded into a rational conversation. Four of the members of the Order of the Trodden Rose were already dead, and just because they exercised a bit of the ol’ moxy against Kintar.

Indeed, there was no way to reason with such a monster.

Even if this feat only proved to Nigerra that having Kintar join them would be a great boon, she couldn’t forgive so many of her sisters being killed just like that. Thus, her eyes, both spotting arrows within them in place of their pupils and irises, charged with mana as she prepared to attack.

...That was a mistake.

Most of Kintar’s opponents had this delusion that they could utilise mana-based, Aura-based or even Nitros-based attacks without her knowledge.

It might have been possible against Kintar while she was in her Limited Mythos Form, but now... It was simply impossible.

The Unlimited Star’s eye fell on Nigerra before she even made her mana stream to her Eye of Moving. She was unnaturally sensitive.

Kintar had learned, reverse engineered and evolved all the high-level mana manipulation skills Skullius ever had. She’d done it during the Impossible Task, after he’d taught her how all of them worked and gifted them to her.

Copying his utilisation of [Sorcery of Essence], Kintar had developed her Advanced Class – the True Myth Mage – and created a system that allowed her to limit her own powers when she wasn’t using them.

[Sorcery of Essence] composed of two other sub-skills: [Sage Strain] and [Save Sage].

[Sage Save] had allowed Skullius – as Replicus – to boost the mana quantity in his mana cores by 0.0001% every minute he spent without using his internal mana reserves, and [Sage Strain] did the same thing, only, it increased his mana concentration by 0.001%. The boosts Skullius would earn after releasing both skills were frightening.

...Kintar had loved that. Thus, she created her own ability which employed similar mechanics when tied to her Class, the Limited Mythos Form. While using that ability, she would turn smaller and weirder – proportion-wise – and could only access half of her stats, and only a fraction of her total mana reserves.

After using it, depending on how long she withheld from tapping into the rest of her power, she would get a multiplicative benefit to her individual strengths – skills, stats and mana reserves.

In this case, every single aspect of Kintar was multiplied 17 times; this extended to her mana sensitivity.

In less than a blink, an marking arrow appeared on her arm, pointing towards her hand. At once, the entire arm was violently pulled out of the socket, along with part of her Granted Star Armament.

The mechanism behind the Eye of Moving, especially in the hands of a Beyond the Veil Stager, offset Kintar’s ability to predict mana-related movements somewhat.

...But this only happened because Kintar had absolutely no interest in Nigerra. Her eyes were on someone else, and losing her arm was inconsequential. She hardly even noticed.

By the time it came off, Kintar had already warped behind Nigerra, stepped on another woman’s head... and done something uncalled for.

The woman hadn’t realised she was already dead by the time Kintar’s foot landed on her nose. Her mana core, in a fraction of a microsecond, revolved rapidly and was transmuted into a giant amalgamation of contradicting gravitational forces. It expanded, twisting the woman into fleshy pasta until it took sat in her place as a giant greyish mass.

Kintar discharged all its gravitational force through one point – the one directly under her foot – and a moment later, she seemed to vanish from existence.

She was only moving at speeds that even Nigerra couldn’t comprehend, however. And all of these theatrics were so that she could get the jump on the ghost of the masked man.

Rias noticed her immediately. He turned behind him sharply. It made no sense for Kintar to be coming in from this direction, but she was anyway, and...

...!!!

Only Rias, Sila and Uyuniya saw it properly.

Hurtling towards the masked man was not a solemn, star-studded beauty. Instead, it was a massive dragonhead made almost entirely out of luminescent green fire zooming at the speed of light.

But that wasn’t all. Its maw was open, and...

RRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHRRR!

A devastating ebony-themed beam was firing from its open maw, poised to diminish anything it hit into yesterday’s statistic.

Uyuniya and Sila were in the direct line of fire, but they had ample time to block.

Rias, on the other hand... disappeared into the blast.

It was no mere energy beam, of course. Kintar had concocted something special: a perfect mix of Stagnant Space, Draft Space, Fresh Fire, Grand Fire, Genesis Pull, as well as Nitros. No mortal expert on Aigas, outside the Unlimited Stars could escape an attack of this magnitude unscathed.

By the time attack was done, lava had built up in the path of the blast all the way up to one corner of Aigas beyond Opungale. Water from the oceans was filling up the gap Kintar had marked across Feinheath, building up an outrageous storm of steam.

The masked man emerged, his arms crossed before him.

He was unharmed. He had mobilised his Amras just in time to save his skin.

His eyes were focused ahead, where the giant dragon head was dissolving, becoming Kintar again. Her armour was restored along with arm; she might not have been de-limbed at all just now.

Upon seeing the masked man all unscathed, she grinned sickeningly.

"I’m so fucking glad you survived that. Truly. This is going to be so much fun," she said to him before pointing at his abdomen. "A bit bold of you to keep your mana core even after transcending to Divinity, though. Veeeeery bold."

...And right then, Rias’ mana core suddenly became as heavy several continents. Kintar had learned about the <WEIGHT> property Skullius could imbue into mana cores.

She inflicted almost a trillion tonnes on the masked man’s core, making him hunch and nearly drop to the ground... and then she made it explode.

...!!!

Unlike Nigerra’s mates, though, Rias wasn’t vapourised from the inside out. The damage he received wasn’t fatal at all, but it hurt like the devil. For a fraction of instant, his Amras control faltered, leaving him vulnerable again.

Kintar hadn’t missed that. She had expected it.

With a psychotic grin, she was already flashing over to Rias before his core detonated, her arm cocked back.

Vermillion quality mana whipped into her fist as she drew intimately close to Rias, and gifted him a malevolent uppercut. A nasty blunt impact erupted and Rias’ chin flew up, blood trickling down his mask.

It should have been impossible even then for Kintar to draw blood from a Divine of the masked man’s calibre.

But she did. After all...
