Bride To His Darkness -
Chapter 260: I Want To See You
Chapter 260: I Want To See You
As the whole crew had planned, Helena and the boys were set to leave for the borders at sunset. Ivan and Samantha, including Alistair and Tobias had stepped forth to bid them farewell. Ivan had tried to talk them into leaving tomorrow, but from Helena’s explanation, it was crucial they head back to the borders, as time could not be wasted, and they dare not underestimate the witches trying to trespass their way in.
As Ivan had a one-on-one conversation with Helena, Samantha’s eyes moved to Maurice who was getting his new horse set for the journey to the borders. When she approached him, he stopped what he was doing to give his sister a brotherly hug, and they both knew they were going to miss one another dearly. After everything that has happened, and how they had found each other after being seperated for a long time, it was difficult to watch him leave her side again.
"Take care of yourself, and make it a compulsory measure to write to me everyday. I want to know if things are weighing you on the borders." She instructed softly, almost seriously, "or if I need to come there to get you myself."
"Your Highness won’t have to undergo such stress, he will be fine, we’ve got him fully covered." Said Jack who suddenly appeared like a light in the dark. Maurice rolled his eyes dramatically at Jack’s pretentious display of confidence, but he was grateful that he had friend’s who were ready to keep an eye out for him, and by that he meant Bryn, cause out of the three of them, Bryn is the only one who was willing to risk his live over a competition rather than choose failure.
Samantha smiled warmly at Jack’s friendly reassurance, and soon enough, everyone began to get on their horses.
"Hey, Mufasa! Don’t forget the basics." Alistair reminded Maurice who nodded with a smile. Apparently, Maurice was more fond of Alistair than any other being in the Palace. It was understandable since he interacted more with Alistair than anyone else.
When they began to depart, Ivan came to stand beside Samantha. She leaned into his arms as she watched her brother go, and Ivan’s arm went around her shoulder as he pulled her into his chest.
"He’ll be fine." The assurance in his voice swept over like a calm breeze.
"I know he will." She answered before tilting her head up to gaze at Ivan with a smiling face. She had been smiling all day, since the moment they said their vows there wasn’t a time he caught her that she wasn’t smiling. As happy as he was to note her excitement and picture it permanently in his head, he was also concerned, but every other thought skipped his mind when her arms went around his neck, and she whispered.
"This isn’t a dream right? I can’t recall how many times I’ve asked this particular question. It must sound annoying but I–!!" Samantha’s pupils dilated slightly when he pecked her lips. His hands went into her hair, tickling her scalp as she looked into his eyes that gleamed with nothing but the love, attention and loyalty they promised.
"Does that feel like a dream? My little lamb?" His voice had taken a different tone, it sounded more deep, and alluring, and she was jolted back to the present when he pinched her waist lightly.
"Ivan!" She yelped in protest.
"It’s been confirmed." He remarked mischievously, and Samantha pouted disapprovingly at him, but of course, her expression right now did not conceal the furious blush on her cheeks. They always have her away.
When they returned to the main hall to continue from where they left off, they became the center of attention, whilst the gathered crowd came up with all sorts of activities to keep the newlyweds engaged. As the night grew darker, Ivan and his bride were having a conversation with Lucinda who raised two fingers.
"You know what I think, It is better to have three children. A blessing it will be if Samantha ends up delivering twins! Uhm.. Viktor, what do you think?"
"I think they just got married, allow them to be for the night, you can rant about the whole scientific process of reproduction tomorrow when everyone has the energy for it." Viktor asserted, already getting slightly annoyed. All he wanted to do was get back to the work Ivan had assigned him, and he had no time to listen to stories about baby-making.
"I was going to do that." Lucinda harrumphed and turned to the couple who hadn’t uttered a word, "you both should get some rest."
"Finally." Ivan said out loud before sweeping his little lamb off her feet. His unforeseen actions had left almost half the crowd stunned, but in a positive way. Samantha immediately buried her face in his chest as he took her up the spiral stairs, and she knew she wasn’t going to be able to face the crowd after the excitement he voluntarily displayed down there.
Away from the noises of the guests downstairs, he looked at the blushing woman in his arms and asked,
"Are you shying away from your husband? Hmm?" When he got to their chamber, the doors automatically opened, and he took his little lamb inside, whilst the door closed behind him. Her feet almost lost balance when he dropped her to the floor, but his hand snaked around her waist, keeping her in place.
"I barely know if this is necessary but welcome to ’our’ chamber little lamb." He said, releasing her and taking a step back to gesture at his opulent Chamber, "this room is now officially yours as it is mine. You are free to add or take out whatever you please... I need you to feel most comfortable in your new stay here."
"Well I’m already comfortable with the chamber if that is the case, but there is one thing that I feel uncomfortable about presently."
"And that is?"
"This dress..." She admitted breathlessly, almost as if she couldn’t breathe anymore. "The bodice is wonderful but sooo tight." Samantha loosened the cords on the back of her dress, but noticing her struggles to reach a particular one, Ivan turned her around and simply helped her loosen it himself. It felt like a heavy load had been lifted off her stomach when it came undone, and she was finally able to breathe.
"You looked beautiful today." Ivan complimented in a voice that was close to a whisper, whilst his breath tickled her neck as she had her back against him. "If you dress up more often looking as gorgeous as you did today, my self-control will ultimately be tested. Hmm.. should I punish the dressmakers, my love?"
He asked, his fingers trailing the slight red marks on her skin, which had been caused by the tight bodice. A shudder ran down her spine when she felt his cold hands caressing her already burning skin, and she gulped.
"It is not their fault, beauty is pain if I’m not mistaken." Came her witty response, and Ivan certainly didn’t like that his wife went through the trouble of having to endure staying in the cage of her dress, and she had changed her outfit three times today.
"Good thing you have a husband now, he shall take care of you from henceforth." And he dropped a kiss on the beguiling curve of her neck, whilst she unknowingly leaned in to his skillful caress. His hand, which rested on her hips, began to loosen her dress, but before the fabrics could drop, her hands were quick to stop them from pooling down to her feet.
"Is it... okay to do this in front of Viney?" She asked, reminding Ivan of her pet plant.
Using one hand to keep her outfit in place, she showed Ivan her pet plant who had camouflaged itself to the bracelet he had given her, and from the looks of things, it was asleep. A vein nearly popped at the side of Ivan’s head, and he wondered...
Can’t he just kill it?
Ivan carefully lifted the little plant and placed it inside a box on the dressing table. If his little lamb wasn’t currently watching him, he would have flung the silly thing out of his Palace through the window. Closing the box, he returned to his little lamb whose face was already flushed, and knowing he had to distract her mind from the dress she was still reluctant to let go off, he closed the distance between them, sealing her lips for a hot, passionate kiss.
A moan nearly escaped her due to the fervent emotions poured into that kiss. His palms found her cheek as he molded their lips together, like a man drowning and she was the air he needed to breathe in order to stay alive cause currently, he was leaving her breathless.
"Little Lamb," he breathed against her lips after pulling back, "I want to see you, every inch of it. Show me... all of you." And his crimson eyes darkened with a promise that told her she was going to feel immeasurable things tonight.
As if hypnotized by the arousal in his voice, she let go off her dress, and they pooled at her feet.
