Chapter 93: 091 Try what?

"I’m already Mrs. Hallow now, do you think I’m not good enough?" Charlotte Miller said with a hint of defiance, glaring at Atlas Hallow.

"Do you think an excellent Mrs. Hallow is someone who stays at home, never steps out, and can’t even talk to men, abiding by archaic virtues? Sorry, I just can’t do that. What era are we in now? Mr. Hallow, are you an old pedant?" Charlotte said it all in one breath, watching Atlas Hallow’s expression for any change. Fortunately, he remained calm and composed.

"Sharp-tongued. You know what I mean. Charlotte, you married me but you haven’t given me your heart." Atlas Hallow’s palm was placed over her heart, feeling the soft fullness, the warmth of his hand seeping through her shirt, soothing her skin.

What he wanted was her wholehearted submission, not a puppet-like Mrs. Hallow.

"We’re in the same situation, can you say you love me? After all, we got married under these circumstances." Charlotte sat still, afraid that if he wasn’t pleased, he’d rip her clothes and bite down again.

This man’s bite was sharper than a Beast’s, with just a bit of force he could tear her skin and pierce her veins, the thought of it was terrifying enough to make her heart jump.

"Then let’s give it a try." Atlas liked how she was now, able to tell him what she truly thought without holding back.

Charlotte looked into Atlas Hallow’s deep eyes, almost unbelieving of what she heard. When did Atlas become so easy to reason with?

And what did he mean by ’give it a try’?

"Try to see if we like each other?" Charlotte always thought that if she fell in love one day, it would be love at first sight. But with Atlas Hallow?

Her feelings for him were so complicated even she couldn’t figure them out.

"Only naïve girls believe in love at first sight. For men, it’s mostly lust at first sight, and for women, it’s infatuation. If love at first sight truly exists, wouldn’t it fit us perfectly?" Atlas gently pinched, his tone full of teasing.

That left Charlotte speechless. This man was incredibly self-assured.

He thought she would be infatuated upon seeing him, yet she couldn’t deny he was indeed captivating—especially when he focused intently on someone, his eyes seemed to whirl and draw you in.

"Do you know what I felt when I first saw you?" Atlas’s breath was warm, his low, husky voice quickening her own breath.

"The first moment I saw you, I thought..." Atlas’s voice whispered by her lips, "I wanted to have you..."

A powerful, forceful presence surged into her breath.

This man was full of dominance, and at that moment she understood why Atlas Hallow had locked the door.

This man, step by step, had never changed his mind or actions because of anything she said or explained.
