Chapter 91: 089 I guess you wouldn’t agree

"Do you want me to get you another cup of coffee?" After what had just happened, Charlotte still hadn’t composed herself. She forgot that Atlas Hallow liked to drink black coffee, and this cup of warm water was too bland for him.

Atlas didn’t say anything. He merely picked up the cup, took a sip, and placed it on the coffee table.

"There are actually some things I haven’t told you. It’s not that I wanted to hide them from you, it’s just that we got registered right after meeting, and I never found the right opportunity to tell you this." Ethan Baird was right; Atlas probably knew her background long ago, while she naively thought she had concealed it well.

The terrifying aspect of this man was not his physical strength, which could almost deform her bones with a squeeze, but rather that he would silently observe and monitor her even when he knew everything. He wouldn’t expose or interrupt her, watching her pridefully envision herself like a beast lurking in the dark, ready to leap and bite her throat at any moment.

Still silent, he just extended his palm toward Charlotte.

The lines on the man’s palm were clear and profound, with the long line of wisdom running through the entire palm. Charlotte placed her hand into his palm, and he seized the opportunity to pull her down onto his lap.

"Is there anything else you’re hiding from me, hmm?" Atlas inhaled the scent emanating from her, a very pure rose fragrance, faint yet untainted by any impurities.

Charlotte hated this side of Atlas Hallow. Knowing everything, clearly having the upper hand in this marriage, yet pretending as if he were unaware of anything.

"Do you know about Currency City?" Since he acted as if he knew nothing, Charlotte simply asked whether he was aware of her company, wanting to know what he thought of it.

"I’ve heard of it." Atlas continued to play with her small hand, as if they were more enticing than the company she mentioned.

"Actually, it’s a collaboration with Ethan Baird. Of course, I only own a small portion of the shares because there are many invisible wealthy individuals now who channel cash for investments in various companies. I manage that part of the business." Charlotte lowered her head, her shiny black hair cascading over her shoulders, obscuring her slightly helpless face.

"And then?" Atlas played with Charlotte’s small hand, not even looking at her, his voice calm yet full of magnetism, as if nothing unpleasant had happened, flowing from his sexy sharp lips.

"There’s nothing more." Charlotte froze, unsure of how to continue speaking, as Atlas always acted unpredictably.

She thought he would seize the moment to lose his temper or make things difficult for her, but he seemed completely placid, leaving her uncertain of what to say next.

"Really nothing more?" Atlas’s gaze fell upon Charlotte’s downcast face, still so pale, with even her lips losing over half of their redness, turning a faint pink, looking exceedingly pitiable.

"I don’t even know how to tell you, but forget it, I guess you wouldn’t agree." Charlotte let out a long sigh; under the eaves, she had no choice but to stoop her head, even daring not to voice her requests to Atlas now.
