"Mmm..." Ethan Baird’s lips curved into a gentle, beautiful smile as he stood behind her, gently embracing Charlotte Miller.

"There aren’t many friends in this world, and even fewer with whom you can drink." Drinking is the riskiest thing because alcohol can cloud one’s mind and make them expose their true nature. But he and Atlas Hallow were the kind of friends who didn’t need to hide much from each other, so they drank a bit more for pleasure and chatted by the fireplace on a snowy night until dawn before leaving.

He was a bit tired.

His chin rested on her shoulder, and he leaned into the faint rose-scented nook of her neck and took a deep breath. Then his thin lips lingered behind Charlotte’s ear, tenderly sucking, as if butterflies fluttering by.

"No time left; you take a shower, and I’ll make you some lemon honey water, then drive you to work, okay?" Charlotte was moved by his kisses, feeling as if she was about to melt. Such intimate actions were dangerously enticing, easily sparking a flame.

Today, he really was short on time because there were two important meetings in the morning that he had to attend.

"Alright..." Ethan’s voice was deep and husky, as if it always took all his self-control to leave her. He released her from his embrace, walked to the bathroom, and turned on the shower, letting the cold water cascade over his strong body.

After a cold shower, he seemed much more refreshed.

He changed into clean clothes and returned to the living room, where Charlotte had already brewed a cup of honey tea for him.

He took a sip; the sweet and sour taste was invigorating, and the warm honey tea flowed into his stomach, making him feel much better.

"We can eat breakfast at the company. I’ve already called the restaurant to make some porridge for you. I’ll drive, and you can rest on the way." After changing his clothes, his earlier fatigue seemed to have vanished, but Charlotte knew it wasn’t wise to exhaust oneself easily. The drive from here to the company would take about half an hour if she drove slowly, enough time for him to take a little nap in the car.

Sometimes just half an hour can fully recharge someone; she’d experienced that before.

"When did Mrs. Hallow become so considerate? Fallen for me, huh?" Ethan couldn’t help but kiss her lips. He loved seeing the way her lips softly parted, luscious and inviting enough to entice endless kisses.

"Fallen for you, my foot. Don’t overthink it. I’m just trying to get you to work quickly so you can earn money to buy me gifts. Christmas just passed and New Year’s is right around the corner. Then there’s Lunar New Year, Valentine’s, Women’s Day, Children’s Day, so many holidays. Mr. Hallow, have you calculated if you have enough money? Can you afford not to work hard?" Charlotte’s eyes crinkled with laughter as she pulled Ethan’s large hand and led him outside.

She didn’t mind and actually quite liked and enjoyed it.

Ethan was the best lover, and if certain skills were to be rated, he would surely score full marks, along with his attractive appearance and tempting physique as added bonuses. But they couldn’t always stick to each other like this; how would they work properly?

"Little Vampire, you dare ask for gifts on Children’s Day too? Looks like I really need to work hard and earn money." Ethan laughed as he wrapped his arm around her waist and together they walked into the elevator.

He rarely let women drive. He wasn’t so tired that he couldn’t drive, but she liked it, so he pretended to be ready for a good rest.

"This vehicle is really a bit large. The cars I had in the United States were much smaller." Charlotte muttered as she adjusted the position.

But with Ethan’s long arms and legs, he looked very fitting and handsome driving this car.

The car leisurely moved along the road. She was not unfamiliar with this city, but having never driven here before, she was extra cautious.

"I learned to drive from Ethan. Actually, I rarely drove in the United States, but Ethan insisted that every girl should learn how, even if she doesn’t drive herself, to still know how to handle a car." Charlotte said as she drove, since Ethan didn’t seem to be resting but was rather watching her with great interest.

"So, what else can you drive?" Ethan didn’t like it much, as if many things his woman knew were taught by Ethan, which was indeed a bit annoying.
