Chapter 104: Hotel
Chapter 104: Chapter 104: Hotel
Spencer chuckled, shaking his head.
"Nice try, but your prayers are unnecessary. Pay for your own stay."
Aurora sighed dramatically, clutching her chest.
"Cold. Heartless. How can you watch a poor, helpless girl struggle like this?"
Spencer gave her a pointed look. "You’re neither poor nor helpless."
Aurora huffed. "Details."
Despite her complaints, Spencer helped her book a room at a high-end hotel. After checking in, Aurora finally had some time alone.
She flopped onto the bed and stared at the ceiling.
"Alright, System," she muttered. "If you’re real, now’s the time to show up."
Silence.
Aurora sat up. "Hello? Rebate System? Cheat skills? Anything?"
Still nothing.
Aurora groaned. "Don’t tell me I transmigrated without any perks!? How unfair."
No response.
Aurora could only close her eyes and think of solutions to leave the world.
Unknowingly, she fell asleep.
The familiar mist enveloped her, and Aurora was stunned before shouting,
"You scammer! Come out! You said that as long as I fell into a coma for three years, everything would be fine! And I just have to lie on the bed!
But now I have transmigrated or, better to say...I have been reborn into a completely different dimension! Do you dare to explain everything?"
"Aurora, calm down. As long as you complete three missions, you can return to your original world..." The voice didn’t even complete before Aurora roared,
"F*ck you!" Aurora shouted. "Right this instant, send me back to my original world!"
"Alright, but you still have to..." The voice slowly turned blurry.
When Aurora opened her eyes, she saw the white ceiling of the hospital room.
For a moment, she couldn’t distinguish between reality and a dream.
Slowly, she looked around and found herself back in her original hospital room!
With excitement, Aurora tried to stand up but fell down due to her weakened body.
A sharp pain shot through her legs, and she winced.
The commotion alerted a nearby nurse, who rushed in immediately.
"Miss Aurora! You’re awake! Don’t move too much—your body is still recovering."
Aurora panted, trying to process everything. "How long... have I been like this?"
The nurse gave a complex look and explained. "Three years."
Just the door of the hospital room was opened and Olivia walked in with a lunch bag in her hand.
Seeing Aurora sitting on the hospital bed, Olivia blinked. The atmosphere stilled.
Olivia remained frozen for the next 1 minute before pinching herself,
"Am I dreaming?"
Aurora, seeing Olivia’s disbelief, chuckled and said,
"No, you are not. I am awake."
Olivia’s heart skipped a beat. Her eyes slowly moistened, and her nose soured. She bolted toward Aurora and hugged her.
"Aurora, you are awake! You are finally awake...
Aurora smiled softly, feeling the warmth of Olivia’s embrace.
She could feel the slight tremble in Olivia’s shoulders, the way she clung to her as if afraid she would disappear again.
"I’m here," Aurora murmured, patting Olivia’s back. "I’m not going anywhere."
Olivia pulled back, her eyes red but filled with joy.
"You... you really woke up. I thought—" Her voice choked up, and she wiped her eyes hurriedly.
"Do you have any idea how much we missed you?"
Aurora’s heart ached at the raw emotion in Olivia’s voice.
She had been gone for three years, yet everyone had stayed by her side, waiting for her to wake up.
She swallowed the lump in her throat and nodded.
"I know. I’m sorry for worrying you."
Olivia smiled and said,
"No need to apologize. You wait here I will inform everyone."
"Okay." Aurora nodded.
Suddenly, she was curious about her appearance and asked the nurse to fetch a mirror.
The baby fat on her face had gone, her red hair was braided and looked silky and smooth, and it was clear that someone had taken care of them.
Her skin was flawlessly and properly moisturized. Even her nails were trimmed properly.
Seeing her beautiful self, Aurora heaved a sigh of relief.
Just then, Olivia hung up the call and informed her,
"Everyone will arrive here in half an hour. Oh, you must be feeling hungry, right? I have brought lunch box with me."
Aurora was a bit taken aback. Was her second sister always so gentle?
She watched as Olivia eagerly opened the lunch box, the aroma of freshly cooked food filling the hospital room.
"I made your favorite," Olivia said with a soft smile. "I figured... if you ever woke up, you’d be starving."
"Thanks, Olivia," Aurora said sincerely as she picked up a spoonful of the steaming rice.
The first bite was heavenly.
It had been so long since she’d tasted anything from her original world, and the familiarity of the flavors made her feel grounded.
She let out a contented sigh, savoring the taste.
Olivia watched her intently. "Is it good?"
Aurora grinned. "Better than I remembered."
Olivia chuckled, finally relaxing. "Good. Eat as much as you want."
Just as Olivia had said, the Waters family and Emily arrived at the hospital room within the next half an hour.
Mary hugged Aurora and burst into tears,
"Aurora, I am sorry! I shouldn’t have ignored you back then! Mom is wrong. Baby, my precious baby."
Aurora patted her back, and her eyes involuntarily fell onto Adriana.
Even after 3 years, Adriana hardly changed. Her smooth black hair was tied into a bun, and her blue eyes were filled with unknown emotions.
Seeing her standing there with tears in her eyes, Aurora opened her hand, and Adriana broke into tears.
She hugged Aurora and whispered a soft ’sorry’.
"It’s okay," Aurora replied.
"Okay...okay, don’t cry on such an auspicious occasion." Theodore interrupted.
Aurora was surprised to find that Theodore’s height almost matched Lucas’s.
Like a red bird flaunting its assets, Theodore came in front of Aurora and said,
"Aurora, tell me, have I become more handsome? I feel as if I can go for Mister World! However, Olivia disagrees. Since you have woken up after 3 years, you can spot the difference, right?"
